Now reading: Chapter 76 - 76 59 Battle Halberd Legacy Unprecedented Prodi from Peace Order, a Eastern novel by Yan ZK.

76: Chapter 59: Battle Halberd Legacy, Unprecedented Prodigy 76: Chapter 59: Battle Halberd Legacy, Unprecedented Prodigy Two divine weapons, one real, the other illusory.

But even the illusory divine weapon conveyed a sense of touch, as if holding onto sothing, a mysical divine charm flowing between the two weapons.

At Li Guanyi’s heart, the bronze tripod humd; after all, unlike top martial artists, the amount of divine charm it could contain from the divine weapons was limited.

As he touched the Breaking Cloud Sky-shattering Bow for the second ti, the accumulation of Jade Liquid began to slow, yet when he grasped the battle halberd, the intangible divine charm seed to flow between the two divine weapons, and the Jade Liquid in the bronze tripod rapidly accumulated.

The White Tiger Dharma Form lit up, signifying the Jade Liquid corresponding to the White Tiger Dharma Form.

The Jade Liquid of the Red Dragon, however, remained at only ninety-eight percent full.

He needed to see Yue Qianfeng again.

The howling of the two divine weapons converged, forming the figure of General Xue, much like the scenes of him pacifying the frontier contained within the war bow.

This ti, the rging of the dual divine weapons produced the sa effect.

The General Xue he saw this ti was different from the one during the vision of the Breaking Cloud Sky-shattering Bow, adorned in majestic and splendid armor, with a tiger’s maw even hanging red decorations mixed with gold threads.

His right hand held the battle halberd, his left clutched the war bow.

His gaze was calm, even bereft of a battle helt and helm, his long hair simply tied with a jade hairpin.

Before him stood a refined-looking man, yet clothed in even sturdier armor, the heavy black steel wrapping around the man, shimring with a treasured light.

The man was donning a battle helm, and his right hand, covered by a gauntlet, brushed over it, causing a majestic dark gold face mask to descend.

Li Guanyi suddenly recognized this dark gold face mask.

The face of the assassin, ranked tenth in the world, who attempted to kill Xue Daoyong, was adorned with such a face mask, which Yue Qianfeng once chastised, saying it was sothing once used by the Taiping Duke.

General Xue said, “Duke Chen, it’s just a sparring match, why take it so seriously?”

Attired in armor, Duke Chen also carried a hefty long spear, seemingly forged in one piece, its blade alone over a foot long, akin to half a longsword.

He replied, “I must pass down martial arts for my family and those who co after.

As martial artists, I’ve always wanted to try, ‘the number one under heaven.'”

He charged forward, and General Xue released an arrow from his bow.

As the arrow was shot, it whipped up a gale, tearing apart Primordial Qi, almost turning into a pillar of wind hamring onto Duke Chen’s body.

The surrounding ground cracked, and a hazy light shone from the armor.

Duke Chen’s speed did not decrease in the slightest; instead, he charged even closer.

That was Divine Armor specially designed to counteract bows and arrows.

Duke Chen approached within thirty-three paces.

Then, General Xue raised his battle halberd, the black weapon exuding strands of golden light, like stars and constellations in the dark night.

As it swung, it emitted a robust and ferocious roar, and the engagent took place on the Jiangnan Road.

The rivers that were flowing beca wrapped up in the swing.

It was like a tsunami, cresting and crashing down toward Duke Chen.

Duke Chen swept his spear horizontally, splitting the tsunami-like crest.

His weapon, out of control, was caught in a spinning force and then flung away.

Just as Duke Chen was about to strike back, the battle halberd, steady as a fierce tiger, had already reached his face, with its nacing edge resting against his brow.

Duke Chen lifted his head, and though he was wearing Treasure Armor, he stopped moving at that mont.

General Xue stood before him; his ceremonial armor was like that of an Heavenly God, unapproachable, with red and gold threads on the armor fluttering slightly.

Duke Chen sat down on the ground, removed his battle helm, placing it aside, his scholarly face filled with regret, “…I’ve lost.”

“Even though my armor can deflect any slashing force, your battle halberd could still turn my body into a pile of flesh and blood.

Your moves on the battlefield are notoriously fierce, but the finesse of this one move is on par with the Absolute Skills of the Martial World, what’s it called?”

General Xue replied, “Wave-Rolling.”

Duke Chen murmured, “Wave-Rolling.”

He sighed and said with a smile, “What a good move, what a good na.”

“I truly hope that my descendants won’t beco enemies with yours.

My spear technique ultimately failed to surpass you.

Among my descendants, can there really be soone who surpasses this ancestor of theirs and creates a power that can match your Divine Weapon techniques?”

Duke Chen left, and suddenly General Xue turned around, his gaze seeming to pierce through the years, traversing five hundred years of ti to look at Li Guan Yi, and said lightly, “My Battle Halberd technique is based on ferocity.

Once in the Entering Realm, each move has variations, with their own insights and changes.”

“Only this Wave-Rolling is the first move of absolute assassination.”

“To break through all Armor, one with a Vajra Physique, if not having entered the Buddhist Sect’s Vajra Realm, will be like flesh and mud.”

General Xue planted the Divine Weapon into the ground and stood with his hands behind his back, the red-golden threads on his Armor slightly lifted.

His gaze was sharp and fierce, majestic and grand.

Looking at Li Guan Yi.

He said softly:

“The descendants of Duke Chen will certainly cultivate his ancestors’ Divine Spear.”

“Protected by the Treasure Armor.”

“You, must learn well.”

Li Guan Yi almost thought that General Xue could see him.

Then he saw General Xue’s mouth slightly curve up, his expression becoming gentler, and he said with a smile:

“How about it, Shaking Light, have you recorded it?”

A cool voice answered, “It has been recorded.”

General Xue, satisfied, said, “Hmm, not bad, not bad.

Whether it’s three hundred, five hundred, or eight hundred years later, when descendants see talking like this to them, they will be shocked and doubt whether their old ancestor had actually died, that they might even get up from sleep to ponder over it.”

“Ah, right, you have to use the Yin Yang Family’s ans to erase this section; do not pass it on to future generations.”

That generation’s Shaking Light looked up, seemingly looking at General Xue.

She pondered over the ntal effort required to do so, wanting to refuse.

Then she thought about the trouble of being pestered by General Xue if she refused.

So she coolly nodded her head:

“Fine.”

General Xue was wholly content.

He laughed triumphantly, “The future descendants will not be able to sleep!”

Li Guan Yi understood, the scene just now was simply General Xue deliberately feigning a conversation with future generations, and he wanted Shaking Light to erase this scene.

But the fact this scene had still reached the eyes of Li Guan Yi ant that Shaking Light had not expended this effort.

The scene dispersed, and the Divine Charm of the spirit of the Divine Weapon was transmitted.

General Xue’s voice returned to the cool and plain tone it had when passing on the Cold Light of an arrow before, saying, “To master the Wave-Rolling absolute assassination, one needs to grasp the Battle Halberd moves.

The Wave-Rolling is like branches; the techniques of the Battle Halberd are the root.

My techniques have all been learned from the battlefield, with killing as the primary task.”

“Different realms, different inner strength cultivation bodies, all have their own ways of being executed.

Watch carefully.”

“To outsiders, I say my spear technique is nad the ‘Peace Order.'”

“But in my reckless youth, when I imitated the heroes of ancient tis, how could it be such a na that puts the gentlen at ease in this era of great peace?

Back then, I nad this battle halberd the ‘Overlord Halberd.'”

“As I grew older, I weeded out the superfluous and kept the essence, and renad it the ‘Extre Martial Halberd.'”

“Only after entering the realm can one learn the moves.”

Before Li Guanyi’s eyes, General Xue wielded the battle halberd, demonstrating a complete set of absolute skills with it; sweeping, cleaving mightily, engaging in broad strokes of attack, decisive in killing.

Suddenly, the moves transford, becoming steady and strict in their practice, and then, just as swiftly, they turned nimble, flowing without end, ever-changing in their variety.

A halberd is not as heavy as a sledgehamr, nor as delicate and sharp as a sword.

It is a balanced weapon in between.

If the weight and oppressive force of a heavy weapon is ten, it has only eight.

If the skill level of swords reaches ten, it has but eight.

But the key is that whether in length, technique, chopping, slicing, stabbing, blocking, or weight, it is consistently eight; it requires the strength and presence of mind to use heavy weapons, yet it also necessitates an exceedingly keen understanding, mastering the use of more than five types of weapons and integrating them all.

In those days, the battle halberd could use its length to stab against swords, ingeniously break the clumsiness of sledgehamrs,

outsmart long spears through cleverness, and suppress halberds and lances, capable of chopping and slicing as well.

Among the Five Elents, it occupied the central Earth position.

It could break through many weapons, and it was also the most difficult weapon to master.

Li Guanyi was skilled in the ‘Breaking Army Eight Sabers,’ but he projected himself opposite General Xue.

The ‘Breaking Army Eight Sabers’ could hardly be defended against.

The battle halberd could easily trap the opponent’s weapon; with the blade caught, it becos useless, but the halberd still has that exaggeratedly long spike and edge.

If it traps the weapon and slices along with the montum, the arm holding the sword could be severed; sweeping with the blade could easily slice across the neck.

Even his own expertise in the battle formation spear was no match for General Xue’s battle halberd.

“Once you have achieved great success in this spear technique, co looking for .”

“The halberd is different from the spear: it is the most difficult weapon to master on the battlefield.

You can stab, smash, hook, and slash with it, integrating many bladework techniques; but it is heavy, and the multitude of techniques if not used well can hurt oneself.”

“Hence, those who can wield a halberd are without exception experts in their absolute arts.

You could master a long spear in a month, but to truly learn it, at least five years are needed.”

“To learn the battle halberd requires ten years.”

General Xue’s inheritance Divine Charm was indifferent: “Learning my battle halberd is already a stroke of fate.”

“This Divine Charm will give you three years’ ti; as a reminder to cultivate diligently, the aura it carries will diminish day by day.”

“However, rest assured.”

“Within three years, if you have practiced the entering realm halberd moves to proficiency, I will teach you the ‘Wave-Rolling’ moves.”

“Within two years, I will assist you in the cultivation of the ‘Wave-Rolling’ variations.

Within one year, there is even more…”

Three years.

Li Guanyi knew that this ti fra was already extrely short.

However, he didn’t have that much ti to wait.

The words ‘Regent King’ still danced before his eyes, and he didn’t know if this rare opportunity of holding two Divine Weapons at once would occur again.

Li Guanyi closed his eyes and made up his mind.

He invoked his spirit.

At his chest, the bronze tripod tipped over.

The Jade Liquid poured out thunderously, finally channeling the Jade Liquid ford from the gathering of the two Divine Weapons into his body.

It all felt like the first ti he mastered the ‘Breaking Army Eight Sabers,’ with layers of clouds and mist appearing before him.

In that vision, armies of thousands were on the move, warriors clad in armor wielding battle halberds, killing and charging through the ranks.

The battle halberds were formidable; moves sharp, alternating in lightness and heaviness, stiffness and suppleness.

Li Guanyi’s figure rged with that of the warriors in the vision.

As if he too was imrsed in that limitless slaughter.

The Jade Liquid flowed through his body, strengthening the muscles and ridians in his arms, waist, and legs in a way that suited the use of the battle halberd, as his spirit drowned in the battlefield, his body transford accordingly.

Watching the moves of the battle halberd evolve from initially complicated and unfamiliar, to gradually familiar, and finally to simplicity and efficiency.

The inheritance Divine Charm from General Xue that was supposed to dissipate suddenly beca fixed.

This Divine Charm locked onto the young man before it.

It could sense the rapid changes in the aura emanating from this young inheritor.

Extre Martial Halberd, the threshold crossed.

Extre Martial Halberd, a small achievent.

Extre Martial Halberd—proficiency.

In the end, a hint of an aura as if seasoned by slaughter emanated from the young man; the Breaking Cloud Sky-shattering Bow sang out, rejoicing, just like five hundred years ago.

The elder on the side suddenly looked up, as if he sensed a trace of blood in the air.

He looked around and then fixed his gaze on the standing youth, stunned.

And the dispersing of that Divine Charm stopped.

Amazent and disbelief flickered in his eyes.

As he watched Li Guanyi.

Li Guanyi opened his eyes and looked at the Divine Charm thoughtfully, saying,

“I have mastered it.”

The inheritance Divine Charm was silent like a puppet.

It had rged all of General Xue’s lifelong learning, a want to exhaust the extres of Martial Arts in the Extre Martial Halberd.

In a mont.

Great success!
