An Yilin said slowly, “Third Brother’s anger might have cooled, but can you guarantee he won’t give us a lecture?”
An Yiqi gave An Yilin a sidelong glance, full of disdain: “Sixth Brother, from what you’re saying, you don’t want to go, but what did you just say? You said you’d follow my lead!”
An Yilin continued slowly, “I didn’t say I wouldn’t follow you, I’m just stating the facts. With Third Brother’s personality, even if he’s cald down, he’ll definitely still lecture us.”
An Yizhi was straightforward: “Whether he lectures us or not, since we’ve decided to go, let’s just face it bravely!”

An Yiqi and An Yilin both found this very apt, nodding in agreent: “Let’s go then.”
An Yiqing was in his study painting bamboo, Gong Le holding a brush standing by his side, learning to paint. The bamboo she painted was a disaster; An Yiqing couldn’t bear to look, but Gong Le was happily painting away.
In Gong Le’s eyes, how the bamboo turned out didn’t matter, as long as she could be with An Yiqing.
And right now, she was with An Yiqing.
“Third Brother, Third Brother, we’re back!” An Yiqi, An Yilin, and An Yizhi shouted as soon as they entered An Yiqing’s courtyard.

Saying this, Gong Le tried to go find An Yiqi and them, but An Yiqing stopped her, not even looking at her and said plainly, “You’re not allowed to go.”
“Why?” Gong Le didn’t understand.
