“He must have gotten rich, and she wants to ask him for money,” a villager scornfully said.
“Isn’t that so,” another villager agreed, watching Mrs. Chen’s retreating figure with contempt. “She previously didn’t even dare to see Changyi, almost wishing he’d die soon so that he wouldn’t ruin her and she could be at peace, yet now she personally turns up at the door.”
