"Are we going straight in, or will we stop outside and wait for your colleagues to co over?" Chen Yang asked Tan Jing as he slowed the car upon seeing the village, rather than driving straight in recklessly.
Tan Jing didn’t hesitate for a mont, "Let’s go in. We’re in plain clothes, so it’s not like we’ll alarm anyone. It’s better to go in and understand the situation."
Chen Yang was thinking the sa thing.
They were dressed in plain clothes and swaggered in without causing any alarm.
If they were to linger outside suspiciously, it would be counterproductive.
"Alright, let’s go in."
Chen Yang pressed on the accelerator, naturally driving towards the village.
The village was no different from any ordinary village.
As Chen Yang and Tan Jing drove into the village, the villagers only occasionally glanced at them curiously and paid them no special attention.
"We only know the person is in this village, but with so many rooms here, how do we find them?"
Chen Yang turned to Tan Jing for her opinion.
Tan Jing, being a professional, was more knowledgeable about these matters, so Chen Yang had to seek her view.
Tan Jing kept her eyes on the surrounding houses.
After scanning several tis, she pointed at an old red brick house in the village, "Let’s go that way."
"Alright."

As they approached the red brick house, just as Chen Yang was about to ask what to do next, he saw a young man with a cigarette in his mouth, carrying beverages and tobacco, walking toward them.
Seeing the young man, Chen Yang imdiately recognized him.

"That’s him!"
Chen Yang softly exclaid.
Tan Jing, seated in the passenger seat, had been scanning the surroundings and naturally noticed the young man as Chen Yang did.
Upon hearing Chen Yang’s words, she instantly furrowed her brows and instinctively reached for her handcuffs at her waist.
Seeing this, Chen Yang quickly stopped her.
"What are you doing?"
"Of course I’m going down to arrest him!"
Tan Jing answered directly.
Chen Yang was speechless, "You’re just rushing off to arrest him? How likely are you to catch him? This is their village; we don’t know where the other two are nor the situation in the house. You could alarm them and alert them too!"
Chen Yang firmly gripped Tan Jing’s arm, preventing her from taking out the handcuffs.
Tan Jing was just impulsive for a mont, wanting to arrest him upon seeing the suspect.
Hearing Chen Yang’s words, she quickly cald down, realizing he was right; she couldn’t rush into action.
Whether they could capture them was uncertain; they might even alarm them!
"Hey, who are you guys?"
At this ti, the young man with the cigarette approached the car, slightly annoyed at seeing Chen Yang parked there, and questioned them.
Upon hearing this, Chen Yang imdiately smiled and turned around, "We are out for a day trip, took the wrong road, and are stopping temporarily while checking the navigation to find a way out."
The young man evidently didn’t recognize Chen Yang.
Upon hearing Chen Yang say that, he glanced up and down.
Seeing Chen Yang driving a van with a woman in the passenger seat, he imdiately relaxed his guard.
Because Chen Yang and Tan Jing did indeed look sowhat like a couple, even having their hands together.
"Turn around, follow the road, and you’ll exit the village and enter the county. This is my doorstep, don’t block my house’s entrance." The young man said.
"Okay, thanks. We’ll just stop for a while and leave imdiately."
Chen Yang imdiately thanked him with a smile.
The young man said no more and prepared to go inside.
But at this mont, Chen Yang spontaneously asked, "Hey brother, could you tell where the small shop is? Feeling a bit thirsty, want to buy two bottles of water."
The young man paused, then pointed to the place he ca from, "The shop is over there."
"Okay, thanks."
Chen Yang thanked him again.
The young man did not think more, carried his things, and entered the red brick house, pulling the iron door shut as he went inside.
Seeing the young man enter, Chen Yang imdiately took Tan Jing and got out of the car, heading towards the small shop the young man ntioned.
Tan Jing understood she had to cooperate with Chen Yang’s act.
She remained silent near the red brick house and only spoke in a low voice to Chen Yang once they were at a distance, "What are you doing? Aren’t we supposed to investigate them? Why are we going to the shop?"
Holding Tan Jing’s hand, Chen Yang walked ahead, looking very much like a couple.
He replied quietly, "Didn’t you see he was already suspicious of us? Without a plausible reason, we wouldn’t be able to stay in this village."
"Don’t look back, keep walking forward. He must be watching us from the red brick house."
Chen Yang continued to walk without any expression.
Hearing this, Tan Jing tensed up then followed Chen Yang toward the shop without showing any emotion.
At the shop, Chen Yang even symbolically bought two bottles of water before heading back the sa way.
On the way back, they were facing the red brick house, making it easy to subtly observe the house.
Upon inspection, Chen Yang found the structure of the red brick house to be very simple.
There was a low wall outside, a one-story red brick house inside with no external tiles or cent, looking rather basic.
After looking at the house’s exterior, Chen Yang and Tan Jing continued to scan any visible openings of the house.
After confirming no one was watching them, they breathed a sigh of relief and returned to the car.
"I’ve confird those guys are in there. I’ll call and have them co over." Tan Jing said, eager to call for reinforcents.
But Chen Yang stopped her again.
"Don’t make the call. In this small village, suddenly having several cars drive in will alarm them too." Chen Yang advised.
Tan Jing was speechless upon hearing this.
She wondered whether she or Chen Yang was the real cop, why nothing seed to work.
"Then what do you think we should do? We can’t just stay here, can we?" Tan Jing asked helplessly.
"Of course not." Chen Yang smiled slightly, "There are three of them. The two of us can climb over the wall and catch them off guard, take them directly."
Tan Jing was taken aback by Chen Yang’s plan.
"Just the two of us against three of them? Is that possible?"
Tan Jing had the physical fitness to be a police officer.
But she was still a woman and felt unsure facing three strong young n.
Yet Chen Yang by her side.
"Don’t worry, trust . I’ll make sure you can catch them all unhard to conclude the case." Chen Yang said with a confident smile.
Looking at Chen Yang’s confident smile, Tan Jing was once again slightly dazed.
In her eyes, Chen Yang was just a highly skilled doctor.
Doctors typically do delicate work, not sothing like capturing suspects.
Therefore, she felt this plan was unreliable.
Yet while she was still pondering, Chen Yang couldn’t wait and directly pulled her out of the car.
"Alright, stop thinking, just follow ."
Tan Jing found herself being inexplicably dragged out of the car, following Chen Yang to the side of the wall.
Looking at the rather high wall, Tan Jing was just about to ask Chen Yang how to get inside when she saw him jump directly over with a push of his two legs.
