The aunts nearby naturally couldn’t help but discuss when they knew Chen Yang gave such a big gift to Niu Ming.

“Don’t you already have a car? Why do you need to get you another one?”
“Hmph, who says I can’t have another car if I already have one? Having more cars doesn’t hurt.” Yang Ruoxi responded with a light hum.
“That’s not gonna work. If you didn’t have a car, I’d give you one, but since you do, I can’t.” Chen Yang said with a smile.
Hearing this, Yang Ruoxi pretended to be angry and said, “Hmph, you’re really stingy.”
Chen Yang burst into laughter and didn’t say more.
When they got to the clinic’s entrance, Chen Yang suggested they all go inside for a bit.
But Wu Kexin and Li Han refused.
“Kexin and I won’t stay for now. There’s still so work at the office that we need to finish up. We’re heading off first.” Li Han said.
“Oh, alright then.” Seeing that the two had things to handle, Chen Yang didn’t say much and turned to Yang Ruoxi and Dai Annie, asking, “How about you two, want to co in for a bit?”
Wu Kexin and Li Han had things to attend to, which Chen Yang understood.
But he didn’t expect Yang Ruoxi and Dai Annie to refuse as well.
“Annie and I won’t co in either. We’ve got plans to go to the orchard with Qiang Zi and the others this afternoon to pick so fruit.” Yang Ruoxi said.
Hearing this, Chen Yang couldn’t help but laugh.
The two of them were quite chummy with Qiang Zi and the kids now, either playing here or there, making quite the lively scene.
“Alright, then you guys go ahead. I could use so quiet by myself anyway; I had quite a bit to drink earlier.” Chen Yang smiled and waved, parting ways with the four won.
He went back to the clinic by himself.
It was midday and he was feeling sleepy.

Lying there was comfortable; he almost fell asleep as soon as he closed his eyes.
He didn’t know how long had passed before he was suddenly woken up by a knock on the door.

The rolling shutter door of the clinic was being knocked noisily.
Hearing the noise, Chen Yang sat up from the chair.
Listening carefully, it was Wang Hong’s voice.
“Why would she be here in the middle of the afternoon?”
Chen Yang was a bit puzzled but didn’t think much of it, getting up to open the door.
“Wang Hong, what are you doing here in the middle of the afternoon?” Chen Yang asked as he opened the door.
Wang Hong saw Chen Yang and a smile appeared on her face.
“Soone’s here looking for you for treatnt!”
“Looking for for treatnt? Who is it?” Chen Yang imdiately asked.
“Them.” Wang Hong smiled and stepped aside, revealing the people standing behind her, down the steps.
Down the steps stood two people.
One was a woman, very beautiful and with an outstanding presence.
But she looked a bit tired, as if she had traveled a long way in haste.
The other was a child, wrapped up so tightly in clothes that it was impossible to tell if they were a boy or girl.
Their exposed little hands were very white, clutching tightly to the woman’s hand.
“Chen… Chen Boss!” The woman down the steps, upon seeing Chen Yang, imdiately showed a look of surprise and disbelief.
And when Chen Yang saw her, he was initially stunned but soon returned to normal.
“It’s you.” Chen Yang said with a smile.
“Yes… I ca here according to the address you gave .” The person down the steps said, still in shock.
“Yang Zi, you know each other?” On the side, Wang Hong listened to the two talking, realizing they indeed knew each other, so she said with a smile, “Since you know each other, I’ll leave you to chat. I have sothing to take care of.” Then she left.
Chen Yang looked at Wang Hong and nodded, “Alright, Wang Hong, you go ahead.”
“Will do.”
Wang Hong left with a smile.
After sending Wang Hong off, Chen Yang imdiately turned to Jiang Miaoyan down the steps and said, “Co on in, we’ll talk inside.”
“Alright.”
Jiang Miaoyan, by now, had cald down and wasn’t as shocked as she was at the first sight.
She nodded and then led a frail-looking, heavily wrapped little girl up the steps and into Chen Yang’s clinic.
Once Jiang Miaoyan ca in, Chen Yang first poured her a cup of tea, then fully opened the rolling shutter door.
“The surgery failed, didn’t it?”
Chen Yang said calmly.
Jiang Miaoyan paused, then nodded faintly, “Yes, it failed.”
Hearing this news, Chen Yang was not surprised at all.
Because he already knew at the ti that the cure rate for leukemia was absolutely not that high.
So its failure was also within expectations.
This was why he wasn’t all that surprised just now.
He had already anticipated that Jiang Miaoyan would co looking for him.
“Are you curious about why I’m living here, and why I asked you to co find ?” After a pause, Chen Yang sat down and spoke, smiling as he voiced Jiang Miaoyan’s inner doubts.

When she heard the address Chen Yang gave her, she thought perhaps he was recomnding a folk doctor to her.
Never did she expect it to be him, himself.

“Because I am actually a doctor, and coincidentally I can treat leukemia, so I asked you to co find .” Chen Yang explained calmly why he did what he did.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Miaoyan gasped in surprise, looking astonished.
“Mr. Chen… I thought you were a businessman? How co you’re a doctor?” Jiang Miaoyan exclaid in surprise.
Chen Yang chuckled lightly, “Who says a businessman can’t also be a doctor?”
“Uh… this.”
What Chen Yang said made Jiang Miaoyan pause for a mont because, indeed, there was no such rule.
She had just subconsciously considered Chen Yang a businessman.
After a brief pause, Jiang Miaoyan didn’t dwell on whether Chen Yang was a doctor and inquired about whether he could truly treat leukemia.
“Mr. Chen… you really have a treatnt for leukemia?”
Jiang Miaoyan looked at Chen Yang with anticipation.
“I can.”
Chen Yang answered decisively, without any hesitation.
