Chen Yang approached Fu Deren because he intended to find this Brother Jing through him.

He wanted to use Fu Deren to have a good talk with Brother Jing.

Upon witnessing this, Fu Deren thought to himself that there would be a good show to watch today.

If they reach an agreent, fine, but if not, there could be big trouble.
Fu Deren smiled slightly, and followed Chen Yang out of the car.
As soon as they got out, the guard standing at the villa entrance approached them with an unfriendly expression.
“Who are you?”
The guard asked coldly.

Brother Jing ignored Chen Yang, but Chen Yang, too, unceremoniously sat across from Brother Jing.
Chen Yang’s move made Brother Jing slightly frown.
In his view, Chen Yang, by requesting Fu Deren to arrange a eting, was here to plead and speak nicely.
Now, Chen Yang sat down without being invited.

Brother Jing’s tone, full of knowing pretense, clearly intended for Chen Yang to lower his stance and bring up the building materials issue.
Chen Yang understood and, indeed, would ntion it.
But his attitude would not be humble.
“It’s about the building materials.” Chen Yang said calmly, showing no intention of conciliatory words.
Chen Yang’s attitude started to irk Brother Jing.
“Haha, Brother Jing, Brother Chen Yang and I ca over to ask you to be lenient. Regarding the building materials, could you give so face? We’re all friends; no need to make things ugly.” As soon as Brother Jing frowned, Fu Deren began speaking on their behalf.
He understood Chen Yang’s intent—coming to resolve a problem, not to cause trouble.
So, he wanted to say so nice things, as a favor to Chen Yang.
If Chen Yang couldn’t adopt a low posture, he’d help with that.
