He Jing had just won two big hands, feeling quite pleased with herself, and upon hearing Wang Jingman wanted to leave, she certainly wouldn’t allow it.
"Jingman, you’re such a buzzkill, we agreed to play for five hours, and it hasn’t even been two hours. You earn so much money, why would you care about these small amounts?" He Jing chuckled as she spoke.
"That’s right, Jingman. It’s not easy for us classmates to gather together, don’t ruin the fun."
...
The other two n at the table also chid in, trying to dissuade Wang Jingman from leaving.
Wang Jingman felt sothing was off, but had no evidence.
Leaving now would indeed seem unreasonable.
"Haha, my boyfriend is waiting for , it’s really inconvenient to keep playing. Let’s end it here." Wang Jingman forced a smile and said, then got up intending to leave.
But He Jing wasn’t ready to let Wang Jingman go, saying from the side, "Oh co on, let your boyfriend co up and play a couple of hands, then he won’t be bored."
"Yeah, yeah, brother, why don’t you co play a couple of hands? It’s rare for us to have a gathering, don’t spoil it."
"Brother, you don’t have any important matters, do you? Sit down and play a couple of rounds."
...
He Jing took the lead, along with people at the table and around, all chiming in to persuade.
Pushing for Chen Yang and Wang Jingman to stay.
With so many people urging, Wang Jingman felt very troubled.
But Chen Yang looked completely at ease.
"Since everyone is so enthusiastic, Jingman, let’s stay and play a few more rounds. We’re all classmates, it’s okay." Chen Yang cheerfully agreed to their proposal.
His words made everyone around burst into smiles.
Especially the big winner, He Jing, who couldn’t be more thrilled.
"Hahaha, yes, yes, co, co, you sit here and let Jingman watch on the side." She quickly invited Chen Yang to sit down and continue playing.
Seeing Chen Yang agreed, Wang Jingman’s expression grew serious, and she wanted to say sothing, but Chen Yang stopped her with a look.
So she didn’t say anything further, quietly getting up to let Chen Yang take her place while sitting in his forr seat.
"Haha, co on, let’s keep playing."
He Jing, seeing Chen Yang sitting down, was overjoyed and quickly pushed the mahjong tiles into the table, also swiftly rallying the other two to continue playing.
Since Wang Jingman’s chips were all lost beforehand, with Chen Yang taking over, they handed out new chips.
A total of fifty thousand, the sa starting point as Wang Jingman.
"Let’s be clear, since I’m staying, everyone has to follow the rules. No one leaves until we play for the full five hours." Chen Yang imdiately joked as he sat down.
He Jing and the others were winning big at the mont, and hearing Chen Yang’s words, she was naturally delighted.
Without a second thought, she happily agreed.
"Sure, no problem, we’ll definitely accompany you to the end." He Jing said with a smile.
"Alright, that’s settled then."
Chen Yang nodded slightly, satisfied with their affirmative response.
With everything agreed upon and chips given, the ga officially started.
He Jing, having won previously, remained the dealer, rolling the dice.
Since the machine had been tampered with, He Jing’s tiles were almost always good ones.
Whereas Chen Yang’s tiles weren’t great.
Knowing his hand wouldn’t be good, Chen Yang decided not to follow conventional play.
Every tile he drew, he laid flat instead of setting them upright.
Initially cheerful, He Jing and the others’ expressions turned unnatural seeing this.
"Aren’t you going to organize your tiles? I’m about to deal."
After a silent few seconds, He Jing asked Chen Yang, unable to hold back.
Chen Yang shook his head, "It’s alright, go ahead and deal. I don’t need to sort my tiles."
Saying this, Chen Yang simply touched the tiles laid out in front of him.
With earlier observations, Chen Yang noted that the surrounding spectators were also He Jing’s people.
To break this setup, he needed to remove these onlookers first.
Even without looking at his tiles, none of them would be able to see his cards either.
And this move was completely unexpected by He Jing and her group.
They never imagined Chen Yang would pull such a move right off the bat.
Unexpected, but they couldn’t do anything about it; how Chen Yang played was up to him. They couldn’t force him to organize his tiles, that’d be unreasonable.
"One bamboo."
He Jing’s face turned unpleasant for a while, but ultimately said nothing, discarding a tile.
He Jing was right before Chen Yang, so he was always the last to draw.
By the ti it was his turn, he knew every tile in his hand by touch.
His mory was sharp, although he hadn’t opened them to see, he morized all the tiles by feel alone.
He was aware of his own hand.
The tiles weren’t great, but he still played discreetly, aiming for the best outco.
He didn’t worry about anything else.
This went on for about three rounds or so.
He was losing consistently.
But he wasn’t anxious.
Because playing these concealed rounds, no one could figure out his hand or strategy anymore.
Their only advantage was relying on the mahjong machine to shuffle good tiles.
Any targeted strategy against Chen Yang was no longer possible.
All he needed now was the chance to win a hand.
Once he won, he’d gain control.
"Continue."
Chen Yang leisurely asked He Jing to continue rolling the dice.
In the fourth round, his hand was still subpar, but marginally better.
He knew, if he could draw such tiles, it ant He Jing’s hand was even better, so he remained cautious.
Playing closed tile, every move made surrounding people and He Jing frown.
Unaware of his strategy.
Though so cheating occurred, eventually Chen Yang was bound to win a hand.
The crucial win arrived smartly in the fourth round, during the fifth draw when Chen Yang self-picked the winning tile.
Organizing the tiles secretly, Chen Yang revealed them.
"Won, small victory, but a celebration nonetheless."
Chen Yang smiled, laying down the tiles, announcing.
He Jing and company looked displeased with his win.
But seeing it was a minimal win, nothing was said, they laughed, paid up, and urged Chen Yang to start the next round.
They chalked it up to luck, just a small win, didn’t think much of it.
Unexpectedly, their nightmare started from this mont.
Having won, Chen Yang now was the dealer, being the one to roll the dice.
Each ti, he chose strategic drawing points, using his ticulous thinking to find good tiles.
Where fortunate draws began.
Their faces turned sour with every draw Chen Yang made.
By the start of his hand, expressions beca utterly sour.
Evidently, their previous effortless hands couldn’t compare anymore.
After a round, Chen Yang couldn’t conceal his growing smile.
His hand was far better now!
Set for winning big hands.
Already an adept player, with calculated strategy and seizing control, Chen Yang began turning the tide.
"All of one suit!"
"Pairs win!"
"Concealed one suit!"
"Luxury pairs win!"
