“Everything’s settled on my end. I’m planning to head back now. I called to ask if you’re hungry; I can bring back so late-night snacks for you,” Chen Yang said with a smile.
Hearing that Chen Yang was safe, Yang Ruoxi noticeably let out a sigh of relief.
“Haha, now that you ntion it, I do feel a bit hungry. Just bring back sothing tasty. I’m tired of waiting,”
Yang Ruoxi said in a soft voice.
“Alright, wait for , I’ll be back soon.”
Chen Yang agreed with a smile, then hung up the phone and flagged down a taxi on the roadside to head to a nearby late-night snack shop, where he bought plenty of snacks and so drinks.
Once he had everything, he took another taxi back to the hotel.
Back in the room, the two naturally started digging in, having a big feast.
The two hadn’t had dinner earlier, so eating in the early hours was extra satisfying.
While eating, they also chatted about a few things.
Mostly, they discussed the issues with Xieyou Company.
The investigation they entrusted to Wu Kexin and Yang Tiancheng that afternoon had yielded results.
Xieyou Company indeed required a slot fee.
One million was considered average for their slot fees; it wasn’t unreasonably high.
Hearing these answers, Chen Yang nodded: “In that case, let’s go over tomorrow morning and finalize the contract. We can head back after lunch since there’s a lot going on at the scenic spot these days. Better not waste ti outside.”

“Chen Yang, when did you get up? So early,” Yang Ruoxi asked instinctively as she walked over.
Chen Yang handed her a set of cutlery with a smile and said, “Not long. I couldn’t sleep, so I got up and moved around a bit. Eat breakfast quickly so we can get our tasks done.”
“Okay.”
Hearing Chen Yang say this, Yang Ruoxi didn’t think much of it and just lowered her head to eat breakfast.

Once in the eting room, the manager politely invited them to sit down.
Chen Yang and Yang Ruoxi didn’t stand on ceremony and sat as he suggested.
“Manager, we thought it over after heading back last night, and after weighing our options, we’ve decided to cooperate with your company. The one-million slot fee is acceptable, so let’s sign the contract now. We have things to do in the afternoon.” Having understood the situation, Chen Yang didn’t want to waste more ti.
He was ready to sign the contract and head back to the village.

The manager said.
