The man saw that the crowd agreed to wait, and imdiately started to slander Chen Yang, accusing him of waiting for accomplices to arrive, trying to incite the crowd’s emotions again to make them help snatch the child.

The old woman, always playing the victim, took advantage of the situation when she saw her man being hit and cried miserably, as pathetic as one could imagine.
Everyone was unclear about the circumstances.
Seeing the man kicked to the ground by Chen Yang and the woman crying like this, they couldn’t help but be angry.
They rushed forward to reprimand Chen Yang.
“How can you act like this? To attack soone in broad daylight, that’s too arrogant!”

So in the crowd, still convinced Chen Yang was a trafficker, threatened him.

He calmly held the child, standing still, without speaking.
With the police present, everyone’s attention was on Chen Yang.
No one noticed the man Chen Yang had knocked down and the crying woman; upon seeing the police, their faces turned pale.
The couple exchanged a glance, quickly getting up, intending to escape amidst the chaos.
While the crowd didn’t notice, Chen Yang kept his attention on them.
“What are you doing? Isn’t the child yours? Why are you running when the police arrive?”
Seeing their intent to escape, Chen Yang imdiately shouted.
The couple initially intended to sneak away, but once Chen Yang yelled, they dashed off.
“Get out of the way!”
With many people around, the man, in panic, didn’t care about anything else, pushing and elbowing through the crowd, forcing a path.
He pulled the old woman into a frantic escape.
On the way, the police had learned the situation from Yang Ruoxi.
Now seeing soone trying to flee, it confird the issue even further.
“Don’t run!”
The police shouted loudly, imdiately chasing after them.
The surrounding crowd was dumbfounded by the scene.
What’s going on?
Why run?
Did they make a mistake?
The crowd stood in shock; before they could react, agile police had already apprehended the couple in the hall.
Pinned them down, and locked them in handcuffs.
“Ah, it’s unjust, officer, it’s so unfair; you’ve caught the wrong person, I’m the victim!”
The man remained silent in apprehension as he was captured, his face full of panic.
The cunning woman, even after being captured, tried to throw accusations at Chen Yang, crying out her innocence.
“Unfair? Why run if you’re innocent! Stand up!”
The police, clear about the couple’s intentions, ignored their words and forced them upright.
“Chen Yang, are you okay?”
With the couple apprehended, Yang Ruoxi turned her attention to Chen Yang, quickly approaching him to check on him.
“I’m fine now, but if the police had arrived any later, things might have beco problematic,” Chen Yang said with a smile.
Yang Ruoxi was slightly embarrassed hearing this.
“I reported imdiately, but the police were quite far away…” Yang Ruoxi explained.
Chen Yang smiled, saying nothing, turning to look at the police.
