Roar!
Having been chased to this spot, the giant bear seed to have nowhere to retreat and erupted in fury once more.
It turned its body and roared continuously at Chen Yang and Lisa.
"Return the Coiling Dragon Root to ! We’ll leave imdiately and won’t offend you!" Lisa stepped forward, frowned, and said to the giant bear.
Most spirit beasts have so intelligence, so understanding human speech shouldn’t be too difficult.
But the giant bear completely ignored Lisa’s words, continuing to roar furiously, as if warning and driving them away.
Chen Yang lost his patience.
"You creature, it seems you won’t understand until I teach you a lesson!"
Chen Yang’s tone grew cold, and he punched forward.
This ti, Chen Yang didn’t hold back and struck with force.
Although the giant bear was large, it wasn’t a match for Chen Yang.
In a matter of monts, Chen Yang inflicted multiple injuries on it!
The violent rage dissipated almost instantly, no longer as wild as before.
"If you still don’t wise up! I’ll break your leg!"
Chen Yang punched the bear’s back.
Roar!
The giant bear cried out in pain.
It was unclear whether it understood Chen Yang’s words or truly sensed the difference in power between them.
After receiving the punch, it hesitated not one bit and imdiately whimpered away into the woods, fleeing.
As pathetic as can be.
"Without showing so skill, it really won’t behave."
Chen Yang clapped his hands and said with a smile.
Lisa was a bit stunned.
She realized again how powerful Chen Yang truly was.
"Chen Yang, among people our age, I’ve rarely admired anyone. You’re the first," Lisa said seriously, giving a thumbs up.
Chen Yang smiled.
"Don’t admire , I’m only a bit stronger than you."
Hmm?
Though Chen Yang seed to be humble, his words gave a sowhat odd impression.
"Ti’s getting late, let’s hurry and leave, or we might find ourselves descending in the dark."
Since climbing the mountain, searching, digging, and dealing with the giant bear, much ti had passed. Now with the Coiling Dragon Root secured, it was ti to descend early.
Yet, Lisa wasn’t too keen on rushing down the mountain. Instead, she looked toward the bear’s nest and said, "Chen Yang, I’ve read in bureau archives that wild spirit beasts who cultivate definitely need many items filled with spiritual energy."
"Oh? And then?"
Chen Yang turned back, not quite understanding Lisa’s intention.
"So, most spirit beasts have a habit of collecting good things. That might have been why the giant bear attacked us earlier."
"You an, there may be good items in its nest?" Chen Yang understood Lisa’s implication.
"I don’t know for sure, but since we’re here, checking it out won’t take much ti," Lisa said with a smile.
Chen Yang agreed that she made sense, so he nodded in agreent.
"Alright, let’s go in and take a look."
With that, the two entered the cave together.
At first, they thought it was just a regular cave, not very deep.
But upon entering, they found it was quite deep.
Aside from so light at the entrance, the inside was pitch black.
To continue onward, Chen Yang and Lisa used their phones for lighting and kept moving forward.
After walking about dozens of ters, they finally reached the cave’s end.
This area had plenty of dry firewood and straw-like materials, making it a very comfortable nest.
"This giant bear sure knows how to enjoy life."
Lisa said with a smile.
"Spirit beasts already have so intelligence, let alone that giant bear from earlier, with its cultivation at the late stage of Xuan strength. Enjoying life is natural," Chen Yang added with a smile.
The two searched the pile of dead grass at the cave’s end and, as Lisa predicted, found several precious herbs and so items with a hint of spiritual energy.
However, none were particularly valuable, so neither Chen Yang nor Lisa chose to take them.
"The really good items must have been eaten by it. There are many rare herbal roots on the ground."
While inspecting, Chen Yang keenly noticed many rotten plant roots on the ground without any trace.
Judging from the remaining aura, these weren’t ordinary items.
"Since there’s nothing here, let’s leave. Back ho, I’ll treat you to a al; you’ve helped out a lot today," Lisa said with a smile.
Though the cave didn’t hold anything good, Lisa wasn’t disappointed. Finding the Coiling Dragon Root was her biggest gain today.
"Alright."
Chen Yang nodded and was about to leave with Lisa.
But just as they were about to depart, the flashlight suddenly swept across a corner of the cave.
A reflection returned.
Out of curiosity, Chen Yang walked over to take a look and found, to his surprise, a short sword in the cave corner!
Its design was ancient, with a lifelike dragon carved on it!
The sword’s blade, extending from the dragon’s mouth, exuded a chilling aura. Just a glance was enough to sense its exceptional sharpness.
"How could there be such a sword here?"
Chen Yang squinted his eyes, took it out from the corner, and examined it.
Lisa also ca over at this ti.
"The giant bear must have collected it from sowhere; it’s a valuable item, radiating coldness," Lisa sensed the sword’s chilling aura.
Chen Yang nodded in agreent.
Then he grasped the sword and stabbed at the stone wall beside him.
He intended to test the sword’s hardness, considering using it if the blade remained intact upon contact with the stone.
But unexpectedly, as he stabbed, the entire blade pierced into the stone wall.
After pulling it out, the blade remained perfectly intact!
"What a sharp sword!"
Chen Yang’s eyes lit up; he had stumbled upon a treasure!
Lisa beside him was equally thrilled!
"The hard stone wall feels like soil before it; not a sound was made. I wonder what material it was crafted from," Lisa remarked.
Chen Yang excitedly swung the sword in his hand, finding it very handy.
It seed like it was naturally made for him.
However, he still looked at Lisa.
"Having the Coiling Dragon Root is already great for ; this sword should be yours, I don’t need it."
Lisa imdiately said.
"Alright, then I won’t hold back." Chen Yang didn’t hesitate; the sword was perfect for him.
He happened to need a weapon.
"Let’s leave; if the giant bear returns, it’ll be troubleso. It’s better to descend the mountain early," Lisa said.
"Alright, let’s go."
Chen Yang nodded decisively and left with Lisa.
On the way back, Chen Yang thoroughly examined the sword he just acquired.
The poor lighting in the cave hadn’t allowed him to take a proper look.
Once outside, he could finally see it clearly.
The sword’s design was very classic.
Clearly not crafted in modern tis, it seed to have considerable age.
The dragon carved on it matched the ancient style perfectly, likely three to four hundred years old.
A centuries-old sword that remained sharp, with no rust except for an old appearance, was indeed rare.
It was indeed an extraordinary treasure.
