Chen Yang stared intently at the man in the black robe.
"I have no intention of selling."
"Three pieces, that’s the bottom price."
Upon hearing Chen Yang’s refusal, the figure hesitated not at all to offer three pieces of low-grade Spirit Stones.
This made Lisa involuntarily gasp; three pieces were equivalent to her salary for three months!
If it were her, she would definitely agree.
But alas, the man in black was dealing with Chen Yang.
He had no interest whatsoever in low-grade Spirit Stones, so without a doubt, he shook his head and refused again.
"Not selling even for three pieces; I need them myself."
After speaking, he ignored the man in the black robe.
He stepped forward to walk away.
But just as he took a step, a hand suddenly blocked his chest.
"Young man, this is the black market, don’t be too greedy, or you might invite unnecessary trouble."
The man in black seed to have lost his patience, his voice becoming rougher, sounding creepy to the ear.
Yet Chen Yang remained unfazed.
"Refusing to sell ans being greedy?" Chen Yang sneered, then without another word, forcibly pushed the arm of the man in black away.
His cultivation Realm had already surpassed beyond the mid-stage of Qi Cultivation, approaching the late-stage.
In such a place, he was among the top-tier powerhouses.
So Chen Yang couldn’t care less about what the man in black might do.
The man in black had intended to resort to violence if negotiations fell through, after all, it was the black market, and so he didn’t care.
However, when Chen Yang forcibly pushed him aside, he couldn’t help but be shocked!
Because he could clearly sense the powerful aura emanating from Chen Yang!
Chen Yang pushed away the man in black and walked straight out of the black market with Lisa.
Returning to the bustling streets.
"Chen Yang, that guy earlier was up to no good, you better be careful lately."
Lisa advised.
Chen Yang smiled slightly, "Alright, I understand."
"Well, since we’ve finished touring the black market, where do you plan to go next? Do you have a place to stay? I can arrange it for you," Lisa asked.
It was already late, past nine in the evening, and Chen Yang should find Ni Zi to learn about the situation at the school, so he shook his head rejecting Lisa’s kind offer.
"Next, I plan to take care of my own things; I’ll handle the accommodation myself."
Chen Yang said with a smile.
"Alright, that’s fine. Let’s et again tomorrow night to attend the auction together," Lisa nodded and agreed, seeing that Chen Yang had his own plans.
"Okay, see you then."
Chen Yang waved his hand as Lisa hailed a taxi on the street and left.
Watching Lisa leave, Chen Yang wasted no ti. He drove his van straight to Ni Zi’s school.
On the way, Chen Yang called Ni Zi in advance, telling her he was on his way to her school.
Ni Zi was pleasantly surprised upon hearing this news.
"Brother, why did you co over so suddenly? I’m at school right now, co on over."
"Okay, wait for , I’ll be there soon."
Knowing Ni Zi was at school, Chen Yang didn’t say much and continued driving towards the school.
After about half an hour, he arrived at Ni Zi’s school and found her at the school’s soccer field.
Ni Zi had grown prettier in the ti they hadn’t seen each other.
A student outfit, a pleated skirt.
Her perfect devilish figure was pure yet tempting, a pristine aura that made one uneasy!
"Chen Yang, you really ca!"
Ni Zi was very excited to see Chen Yang and imdiately ran over, affectionately linking arms with him.
She looked just like a little girlfriend.
"Of course, when have I ever lied to you? Participating in research, being guaranteed advance admission to master’s or doctoral programs is a significant matter, so naturally I had to co here as quickly as possible," Chen Yang laughed, his gaze filled with doting affection.
"Haha, you’re so good, brother. By the way, brother, have you eaten yet? If not, let treat you to a al while we chat." Ni Zi was brimming with happiness; she hadn’t expected to see Chen Yang so quickly.
"I’ve already eaten, but this isn’t the best setting for talking, let’s find a nearby bubble tea or café where I can get a better understanding of this research situation," Chen Yang suggested.
"Alright, sounds good."
Ni Zi nodded and imdiately took Chen Yang to a bubble tea shop near the school.
Near the school, bubble tea shops were abundant.
An average street would have four or five of these shops, and business was generally quite good.
"Brother, I ordered the tastiest bubble tea for you, try it first." Not long after sitting down, Ni Zi brought over two cups of bubble tea.
She handed one to Chen Yang.
"Okay."
Chen Yang accepted the bubble tea, inserted the straw, and tried it.
The taste was indeed good; not particularly his favorite, but not unpleasant either, it was quite decent.
"Brother, how is it?" Ni Zi’s eyes curved into crescents as she eagerly awaited Chen Yang’s feedback.
"The taste is excellent, but it’s better not to drink too much; there are too many ingredients mixed in, and it’s not good to have too much." Chen Yang shared his thoughts while smilingly reminding Ni Zi.
"I understand, brother."
Ni Zi nodded, indicating her understanding.
After taking a couple of sips and chatting a bit about family matters, they moved on to the main topic.
Chen Yang started inquiring about the research.
Seeing Chen Yang’s inquiry, Ni Zi beca earnest.
"Brother, this research is sothing our college values greatly, but specific research details haven’t been disclosed, just ntioning there might be dangers."
"However, according to so insider news, if this research succeeds, we students will be directly recomnded. That’s why I really want to participate."
Ni Zi talked for a while, but the information she shared wasn’t much.
One could say there wasn’t any concrete information.
"No specific research details disclosed? What kind of research is it? Might it be dangerous?" Chen Yang furrowed his brows, questioning with curiosity.
"I really have no idea what the research is; there are absolutely no details. But it shouldn’t be dangerous, brother. If it were truly dangerous, the college wouldn’t organize us students to participate, right?" Ni Zi said with a smile.
Ni Zi seed unconcerned about the alleged safety issues.
But Chen Yang was worried.
Given Ni Zi’s academic performance, pursuing postgraduate masters or doctoral studies would be entirely normal.
Hence, the condition of guaranteed recomndation wasn’t exceptionally tempting.
Of course, if the research was risk-free, participating would indeed enhance her credentials, and having guaranteed recomndation was necessary.
But if there’s so risk involved, that changes things.
"Brother, I don’t think you need to be too worried about . A few of my classmates have already signed up, so there should be no problems." Ni Zi spoke again, trying to reassure Chen Yang seeing his worry.
"Ni Zi, what you say makes sense, but since your college ntioned risks, there are surely risks involved, however minimal. Wouldn’t a brother be concerned? How about this: tomorrow I’ll go with you to sign up, and I can have a talk with your ntor. If the risks are significant, let’s not join." Chen Yang realized Ni Zi’s eagerness to participate, so he didn’t dismiss the idea right away; he planned to investigate with the ntor first and make a sound decision afterward.
