"Well, that’s a bit troubleso." Chen Yang thanked her.
"You’re welco, Mr. Chen. Actually, we should be the ones thanking you. You probably heard yesterday that our institution is going through tough tis, struggling to survive, and it was unexpected that you would partner with us. Honestly, I’m sincerely grateful to you."
Jin Shixuan felt very good about Chen Yang, which is why she spoke frankly about the difficulties she was facing.
Chen Yang had already sensed this issue yesterday but found it inappropriate to ask.
Now that Jin Shixuan brought it up herself, he was indeed a bit curious.
"Ms. Jin, what was the situation yesterday? What is Kong Cheng’s background? It seems like there’s so bad blood between you two." Chen Yang asked out of curiosity.
"Yes, there is indeed so history between us. Our institution was once quite renowned in the county’s extracurricular training market, but he took advantage of his family’s wealth to forcibly compete with us for the market, and they have a little bit of influence, which has made it impossible for our institution to operate normally..." Jin Shixuan explained with a hint of sadness.
Upon hearing this, Chen Yang imdiately understood the situation.
Although Jin Shixuan didn’t explain everything in detail, Chen Yang had encountered many similar situations and could naturally guess most of it.
"I see." Chen Yang understood.
"Yes, it’s tough doing business nowadays. Fortunately, I t you, Mr. Chen, at this critical mont. I’m truly grateful." Jin Shixuan expressed her gratitude to Chen Yang once again.
This made Chen Yang feel a little embarrassed.
He also had his own needs, rather than specifically helping her, so he didn’t consider himself deserving of such gratitude.
"Haha, Ms. Jin, you’re too kind. This is a win-win situation for both of us. It’s not about who should thank whom." Chen Yang said with a smile and politeness, and then they chatted for a while before leaving the school.
As it was approaching noon, Chen Yang originally intended to have Jin Shixuan stay for lunch in the village.
However, Jin Shixuan seed a bit anxious and wanted to imdiately focus on school-related matters, so she left first.
Seeing this, Chen Yang didn’t insist, sending her off to the village station to catch a bus.
"Mr. Chen, I will hold a eting as soon as I get back, and we’ll finalize the collaboration as quickly as possible," Jin Shixuan told Chen Yang.
Judging from her attitude, she was very satisfied with the school in Liuhe Village.
"Alright, I look forward to your good news, Ms. Jin." Chen Yang nodded with a smile.
Then the vehicle departed, leaving Liuhe Village.
Chen Yang was quite satisfied with Jin Shixuan as a person, especially since she was introduced by Li Han, aning her institution should be reputable.
Ding ding ding...
Just after sending off Jin Shixuan, Chen Yang’s phone rang.
Upon checking, he saw it was a call from Li Han.
"Hello, Li Han."
Chen Yang slid the screen to answer the call.
"Chen Yang, how did the discussions go? I couldn’t join yesterday because sothing sudden ca up at the construction site. I originally planned to go and discuss it with you." Li Han said over the phone.
When Chen Yang saw it was Li Han calling, he guessed she was likely concerned about this matter.
"The discussions went really well. I just took her on a tour of the village school. We might be signing the contract in a day or two." Chen Yang chuckled.
"Glad to hear it went well. The institution Shixuan is opening maintains a high educational standard. They’re just going through so troubles currently, which prevents stable teaching. You should seize this opportunity." Li Han was pleased about the progress.
"Got it." Chen Yang understood this well.
There are still many excellent teachers in Jin Shixuan’s institution. Although he hadn’t t them yet, he had investigated them using so materials last night.
Knowing their institution was strong, Chen Yang agreed to the partnership without even visiting it.
"Alright, I’ll leave it here for now. I’m still busy here, so I won’t say more. If any situations arise later, feel free to reach out." Li Han said.
Chen Yang acknowledged this, and then they ended the call.
With nothing else to do, he returned to his clinic to practice the Triple Slash Sword Technique.
He thought today would pass uneventfully, and the plan was to et Jin Shixuan tomorrow to sign the contract and see how many teachers would agree to co teach at Liuhe Village.
Unexpectedly, as night fell and Chen Yang was about to have dinner and intensify his practice, a small episode occurred.
Li Han called seeking help, saying that strange things were happening on a section of highway construction they contracted.
Many people said it was bad feng shui and insisted on inviting a master to perform a ritual.
When she heard about the ritual and changing feng shui, Li Han imdiately thought of seeking help from Chen Yang.
She knew a master resided permanently in Liuhe Village, and the Green Cloud Taoist Temple was initially constructed by Li Han’s company.
"Chen Yang, this project is on a tight schedule. Can you co over tonight to do the ritual and ensure we can resu work tomorrow?" Li Han sounded exhausted, clearly overwheld by issues at the construction site.
As soon as Chen Yang heard about this, he naturally agreed without hesitation.
"Alright, Lih Han, send the location, and I’ll head over imdiately." Chen Yang readily accepted.
"Okay, co quickly, I’ll be waiting."
Li Han agreed, and then the call ended.
Soon after, a ssage dinged in, detailing the exact location.
It was a construction site on a highway under construction, about forty to fifty kiloters from the county town—not too far.
After roughly checking the location, Chen Yang didn’t bother having dinner, imdiately departing from ho for a visit to the Green Cloud Taoist Temple.
"Boss, you’ve arrived! Are you here to see the master?"
It was dark, and the Green Cloud Taoist Temple had no visitors.
As soon as Chen Yang entered, he saw Li ngzi, dressed in a Taoist robe, sweeping fallen leaves in the yard.
The way he calmly went about his work gave the impression he truly intended to turn over a new leaf, though it was unclear how long this determination would last.
"Yes, I’m here to find your master. Is the old guy around?" Chen Yang asked straightaway.
"The master just returned and is putting things away inside." Li ngzi replied with a smile.
"Great." Chen Yang nodded, then directly went through the front yard side hall and headed to the rear room to find the Taoist.
He explained the situation that needed help.
The Taoist listened, smiling yet complaining at the sa ti.
"Chen Yang, you really know how to pick your monts, don’t you? I’ve been walking all day, just sat down to catch my breath, and now you’re here. Aren’t you trying to wear out?" The Taoist said.
Chen Yang knew this old guy wasn’t tired, and said this just to get sothing in return, so he rolled his eyes in response.
"We’re driving, not making you walk. If you want to rest, do it in the car. The matter is urgent, so let’s not waste ti." Chen Yang urged.
"Alright, alright, I’ll go along with you. But let’s make it clear; it’s not a free trip. Once it’s done, I expect a good feast to reward ." The Taoist set his condition.
It had been a long ti since he’d eaten at Chen Yang’s place, and to be honest, he missed the taste.
