"Killing over a hundred Qi Refinent Realm cultivators in one fell swoop, with none spared, doesn’t seem like sothing a Spirit Gathering Realm could accomplish. Things are getting interesting; it seems there’s a mutated beast among these pests."
"It’s turned into a dog that can bite now."
The leader spoke, his chilling tone sending shivers down one’s spine.
"What should we do next? It seems all the rebels have escaped." Soone anxiously asked.
"Conduct a thorough investigation. Search all nearby towns and villages. Every suspicious place must be checked. Even if we have to turn the entire province upside down, we must find where these pests are hiding."
The leader commanded.
"Yes!"
...
On the other side, it was a little past seven in the morning, nearing eight, when Chen Yang led He Xiran and the others to the county town.
They headed to the prearranged eting spot with Ao Min and the others, Lin Tianxia Hotel.
To avoid attracting attention, Chen Yang had inford Li Han early on so she could head to the hotel to support them beforehand.
Once all mbers of the rebel alliance entered the county town, they managed not to draw any attention and imdiately took refuge in Li Han’s hotel.
Chen Yang was the furthest behind in the pursuit and thus returned the latest.
By the ti he led He Xiran and the others back to the hotel, everyone else had already arrived earlier.
To accommodate them, Li Han had specially cleared out a hall for them to rest.
Apart from herself and a few trusted aides, no one was allowed near this hall.
"Yang Zi."
"Chen Yang."
Seeing Chen Yang enter the hall, Li Han and Chen Tianmin imdiately ca over to ask about the situation.
"I managed to retrieve nine brothers, several of whom are seriously injured and need imdiate treatnt. How are things on your side?" Chen Yang briefly replied and inquired about their findings.
They were doing okay.
Altogether, they had found around twenty brothers.
Since they fled in different directions, the injuries they suffered were minor, with almost no serious injuries.
"You’ve found nine, so given these numbers, our alliance is down to thirty-eight mbers." Chen Tianmin said with a complex expression.
In one night, the rebel alliance suffered a severe blow.
It might take years to recover from this incident.
Chen Yang understood Chen Tianmin’s feelings.
But now was not the ti for sorrow.
Many of the wounded needed dical attention to prevent their conditions from worsening.
"Uncle, now’s not the ti for sadness. There are still many brothers injured. Our top priority is to heal them first, and only then can we address other matters." Chen Yang comforted.
He Xiran was also distressed, but now was not the ti to grieve.
"That’s right, Uncle. Let’s first understand everyone’s condition. The brothers who aren’t injured need rest, and those who are injured require imdiate dical attention. We can’t afford to lose anyone else." He Xiran said.
Chen Tianmin collected himself and said, "You’re right. Let’s consolidate first."
With that, he went to communicate with the brothers of the rebel alliance.
After such a significant upheaval, many were physically and ntally exhausted, their emotions complicated.
Not only was morale affected, but their hearts ached as well.
Losing so many brothers overnight would be hard on anyone.
While Chen Tianmin went to survey the situation, Chen Yang found Li Han.
Li Han was completely unaware of the situation; she had simply followed Chen Yang’s instructions to discreetly take in these people.
"Li Han, thank you for your trouble. We probably can’t leave today; we must stay at your hotel for a while to recuperate, and the injured need treatnt here." Chen Yang said to Li Han.
Although Li Han didn’t know what had happened, she supported Chen Yang without reservation.
"Chen Yang, what are you saying? No trouble at all. You’re welco to stay as long as you need, and don’t bother saying things that create distance between us." Li Han said.
Chen Yang felt warmth in his heart.
"Okay, I won’t say it anymore."
"That’s better." Li Han smiled gently and quickly asked, "What do you need to do now? Just tell , I’ll arrange it right away. There are plenty of rooms and staff at the hotel."
Though Li Han was unaware of what happened, seeing everyone exhausted and many injured, she knew sothing major had occurred.
The most urgent need now was rest, as many were in no condition to exert themselves.
Chen Yang, hearing this, didn’t stand on ceremony and directly said to Li Han, "We need many rooms for everyone to rest. Also, we need to prepare so food to replenish their strength."
"And those who are severely injured might need a quiet place for treatnt."
Chen Yang listed the most pressing needs in one breath.
Although the hall was hidden and spacious, it wasn’t ideal for rest. Proper recuperation required a good rest.
"Sure, that’s no problem at all. Leave it to ; I’ll arrange it imdiately."
Li Han thought for a mont, agreed imdiately, and then turned to leave the hall to make arrangents.
She had just left when Li Tianming ca over.
He had completed his survey.
Thirteen severely injured, eight slightly injured, and the rest were relatively unhard.
"Okay, I understand. Uncle, please wait here. I’ve already asked Li Han to prepare places for you to rest. Everyone should have a good rest. The county is not a place to linger, and we’ll need to move again tonight." Chen Yang said.
"Hmm, we’ll follow your arrangents, Yang Zi." Though Chen Tianmin hadn’t interacted much with Chen Yang, he recognized Chen Yang’s outstanding abilities in many areas.
In many regards, he was better.
At this critical mont, he decided to follow Chen Yang’s lead.
Only Chen Yang was their hope.
"Okay then, just wait here for Li Han to make the arrangents. The injured are in serious condition; I must go out to purchase so herbs for treatnt. Everyone, hang in there; I’ll be back soon."
Having arranged accommodation, Chen Yang planned to head out again to procure dicinal herbs for treatnt.
"I’ll go with you." He Xiran insisted on accompanying him.
But after looking her up and down, Chen Yang smiled and refused.
"Look at you, all dirty and disheveled. You’ll attract too much attention outside. Stay here and help Uncle. I’ll go alone." Chen Yang said.
"Alright." He Xiran also noticed that she was too dirty to go out, especially after last night’s ordeal.
"Hmm." Chen Yang nodded and then looked at Ao Min. "Ao Min, co with ."
"Alright, young brother, I was thinking the sa."
Ao Min agreed readily and left the hotel with Chen Yang, driving to the pharmacy to buy dicine.
"Young brother, your uncle’s team is truly remarkable. To survive with so many under the Blood Bat Hall’s pursuit is a blessing in disguise." On the way, Ao Min said.
Though the words might sound harsh, they were true.
An ordinary team might have been wiped out under such circumstances.
But the rebel alliance managed to preserve over thirty people, which was quite remarkable.
The existence of the rebel alliance was, to begin with, a formidable feat.
What organization could trouble Blood Bat Hall for seven years under their watch without being crushed?
And still grow stronger?
There’s likely no other organization capable of such a feat besides the rebel alliance.
