587: Chapter 585: Difficult to Find Technology 587: Chapter 585: Difficult to Find Technology Skipping ten thousand words, once his emotions had settled, Chen Yang began to share his thoughts of starting a pharmaceutical factory, asking her to help him consider whether it was feasible or not.

Li Han lay in Chen Yang’s arms with flushed cheeks, and after listening to Chen Yang’s account, her mouth fell slightly open, her expression sowhat astonished.

“Starting a pharmaceutical factory?

How did you co up with such an idea suddenly?”

Chen Yang looked down at the stunningly beautiful Li Han and replied, “The village has a rich resource of wild herbs, and I want to make use of it.

So, I thought of setting up a traditional Chinese dicine factory.

What do you think, is it feasible?”

As he spoke, Chen Yang’s hands beca restless again, starting to climb higher.

Li Han sensed Chen Yang’s intentions and shifted slightly to accommodate, allowing Chen Yang’s palms more freedom to roam before she answered his question.

“Hmm, the wild dicinal herb resources in Liuhé Village are indeed plentiful and can be utilized.

However, I think this needs to be carefully planned.

Setting up a factory is no small matter; many issues need to be addressed in advance,” Li Han said seriously.

Upon hearing this, Chen Yang’s hands paused, “Then tell , what imdiate problems need to be addressed?”

Chen Yang had co this ti precisely to hear Li Han’s opinions and to see what she thought of his idea.

Therefore, he was more than willing to listen to the problems she pointed out.

“Hmm…”

After a mont of thought, Li Han replied, “The most important thing is to get policy support!

The pharmaceutical industry, unlike others, has a lot of procedures.

If you really want to start one, the first thing is to get that sorted out.”

Chen Yang nodded, “I know that.

I already had Kexin help apply, and I’m sure the related paperwork will go through.”

“You’re already applying?” Li Han was slightly surprised, not expecting Chen Yang to act so swiftly and to have already started the application process.

But her surprise was brief.

Knowing that this issue was resolved, she pondered if there were other problems.

After so ti, she ca up with a few more issues and laid them all out.

The two of them, just like that, discussed the matter of setting up the pharmaceutical factory for a long ti while lying in bed.

After a serious talk, the process of starting a pharmaceutical factory suddenly seed much clearer and simpler to Chen Yang.

Initially, he had only an idea and didn’t know what the next steps were, completely in the dark.

But after talking with Li Han, he understood and beca clear on the process of setting up a pharmaceutical factory.

To start a pharmaceutical factory, the first step was to wait for the relevant docunts to be approved, followed by the factory building, the production line, and the workers.

The factory building and production line weren’t big issues; the real challenge was finding workers.

Pharmaceuticals require technical know-how, and without relevant knowledge and education, who could do the job?

So, this was the most critical issue.

“Actually, about the workers, you could talk to Li Lao.

He must know many talents in this field and could help you imnsely,” Li Han suddenly added.

“Mhmm,” Chen Yang nodded, “I was thinking the sa thing.”

Having discussed most of it, they fell asleep without realizing it.

When they woke up the next day, after breakfast, Li Han urged Chen Yang to set off and talk to Li Lao about the matter.

Originally, Chen Yang felt there was no rush and that he could spend the day at the hotel with Li Han.

But Li Han took the initiative to say there was no need, emphasizing the importance of the pharmaceutical factory project and telling Chen Yang to get busy with his own responsibilities.

Seeing this, Chen Yang could only agree.

“Then take good care of yourself, and call anyti if there’s anything,” Chen Yang said.

Li Han’s cheeks reddened slightly, and she nodded with a hint of shyness, “Alright, alright, I got it.

You should set off now.”

Chen Yang humd in acknowledgnt and left the office.

He went downstairs to his car and drove directly to Li Lao’s Chinese dicine shop.

He parked the car at the front, and Chen Yang walked straight in.

As soon as he entered, Chen Yang saw Mr.

Li humming a tune, looking relaxed as he fiddled with sothing behind the counter, apparently in a very good mood.

“Mr.

Li.”

Chen Yang walked in with a smile and greeted him.

Mr.

Li looked up at the sound, and his smile deepened when he saw that it was Chen Yang.

“Oh, Yang Zi, you’re here,” Mr.

Li said with a smile as he walked out from behind the counter and courteously led Chen Yang to the tea table inside the store to sit down.

“You haven’t been here for a while, kiddo.

What have you been busy with lately?

What made you think of visiting today?” Mr.

Li said while laughing and fiddling with the tea set, chatting with Chen Yang.

“I haven’t been up to much recently, just missed you today, so I ca over to see you,” Chen Yang responded, avoiding directly stating his purpose and instead engaging in small talk with a smile.

Otherwise, it always seed like he only ca to ask for Mr.

Li’s help, and Chen Yang was starting to feel a bit embarrassed about it.

Even so, Mr.

Li still sensed that sothing was up.

“Co on, I know you, kiddo.

There must be sothing you need from ; you never co without a reason,” Mr.

Li said with a laugh.

Seeing his intentions laid bare by Mr.

Li, Chen Yang instantly felt a bit awkward.

He laughed awkwardly without replying, which was as good as confirming Mr.

Li’s guess.

Realizing that Chen Yang did indeed co with a purpose, Mr.

Li found himself torn between laughter and helplessness, thinking how accurate his guess was—it truly was a “no-visit-without-cause” scenario.

“Out with it then, what’s the issue?

What do you need my help with?” Mr.

Li asked, shaking his head in resignation.

“Heh, nothing can really get past you, Mr.

Li.”

Chen Yang hadn’t planned to be so direct, but since Mr.

Li saw through him and even asked proactively, he no longer beat around the bush and straightforwardly voiced the reason for his visit.

“Mr.

Li, do you know any scholars in pharmaceuticals, or workers or sothing of that sort?” Chen Yang asked without revealing his intentions, inquiring if Mr.

Li knew people in that field.

Mr.

Li, initially relaxed, furrowed his brows slightly, “What do you need them for?

Don’t tell you’re going into the drug-making business?”

“Um…

I’ve been thinking about starting a pharmaceutical factory recently and need talents in this area, so I wanted to et so through you,” Chen Yang replied honestly after a mont’s thought.

“Starting a pharmaceutical factory?”

Mr.

Li was initially stunned; he thought Chen Yang was asking about this to help so patient who needed special dication and that was why he was seeking his assistance.

It never occurred to him that Chen Yang would want to start a pharmaceutical factory.

After a short mont of surprise, Mr.

Li replied, “I do know people in that field, but they all have stable jobs with their own companies.

It’s nearly impossible to lure them away!”

Chen Yang, who had been hopeful, felt a wave of disappointnt at the words “nearly impossible.”

But before he could respond, Mr.

Li continued to explain why it was not feasible.

“Talent in pharmaceuticals is usually in the hands of major consortia.

These consortia bind them with contracts, offering the highest industry salaries and the best benefits.”

“Thinking about poaching them is rather unrealistic,” Mr.

Li said nonchalantly, giving reasons that made sense to Chen Yang.

Still not quite ready to give up, Chen Yang said, “Couldn’t I just offer a higher salary and better benefits?”

Mr.

Li looked a bit speechless, thinking that Chen Yang’s idea was far too simplistic.

If it was really that easy, would he have made such an absolute statent?

Mr.

Li shook his head: “You’re oversimplifying things.

It’s not just about salary and benefits.

Even if you offer more, the consortia won’t let their people go.”

“You must realize that the pharmaceutical industry is highly profitable.

Every local consortium has a tight grip on it.

Trying to poach talent from them is like living in a fantasy,” Mr.

Li said with a laugh.
