600: Chapter 598: Aunt Wang’s Reminder 600: Chapter 598: Aunt Wang’s Reminder Chen Yang indeed went to bed very late last night… However, his physical constitution is different from ordinary people; he doesn’t feel tired even if he doesn’t sleep, so he wasn’t even aware that he had gone to bed late last night.
“Hehe, you’ve worked hard, let’s have breakfast first and you can sleep after,” Chen Yang said with an awkward laugh.
Wu Kexin gave Chen Yang another cold look, then put on her clothes and got out of bed.
After they had breakfast together, Chen Yang wanted to let Wu Kexin go back to sleep, but she refused.
“Since we’re up, there’s nothing else to sleep for, let’s go and take a stroll in the greenhouse, we are free anyway,” Wu Kexin said.
Chen Yang had also intended to check the greenhouse while Wu Kexin was sleeping, but now that Wu Kexin suggested it, he imdiately nodded and agreed.
Then, they went together to the greenhouse at the entrance of the village.
In the morning, many of the village aunties were busy farming in the fields.
Having not seen Chen Yang for a few days, everyone greeted Chen Yang and Wu Kexin warmly when they suddenly saw him.
Chen Yang and Wu Kexin responded warmly as well.
After greeting everyone, they entered the greenhouse.
As they walked into the greenhouse, they happened to encounter Wang Hong and others picking wild mushrooms.
Wang Hong and the others were surprised to see Chen Yang and Wu Kexin arrive.
“Yang Zi, Chief, what brings you here?”
“Just taking a walk and passed by, so we decided to have a look, carry on with your work, we’ll just look around,” Chen Yang smiled and said.
“Oh, I see,” Wang Hong said with a smile, then continued picking wild mushrooms with her basket.
Chen Yang and Wu Kexin then found a corner to study and discuss.
Unknowingly, ti passed by quickly.
Initially, Wang Hong thought Chen Yang had just co to have a look because he was passing by.
But seeing that Chen Yang and Wu Kexin were still there after a long ti even squatting down to study the soil and wild mushrooms in the greenhouse, curiosity got the best of her.
“Chief, Yang Zi, what are you two doing here?
Is there a problem with these wild mushrooms?” Wang Hong approached Chen Yang and Wu Kexin with a curious face and asked smilingly.
Chen Yang looked at her and then nodded, “Yes, there is a problem.”
“Ah?
Really?
What’s the issue?” Wang Hong grew even more curious.
“Aunt Wang, haven’t you noticed that these greenhouse mushrooms are different from the ones in other greenhouses?” Instead of giving a direct answer, Chen Yang posed this question to her.
Upon hearing this, Wang Hong imdiately pondered for a mont.
After about three or four seconds, she nodded, “It’s a bit different, the mushrooms in this greenhouse seem better grown, other greenhouses have been picking for so long and are sparse.”
Chen Yang nodded with a smile, “That’s the issue with this greenhouse.”
After saying that, he did not continue watching Wang Hong, but bowed his head and continued observing, trying to see if the soil was different.
Having heard what Chen Yang said, Wang Hong started to think thoughtfully on the side.
After another two or three seconds, she suddenly seed to realize sothing and asked Chen Yang again, “Hey, Yang Zi, are you trying to figure out why this greenhouse grows better, right?”
“Mm-hmm, exactly.”
Chen Yang nodded without lifting his head.
“So have you figured anything out yet?” Wang Hong inquired further.
This ti it was Wu Kexin who shook her head, “Not yet, Aunt Wang.”
Seeing Wu Kexin shake her head, a mysterious smile appeared on Wang Hong’s face as she said, “Hey, you college students are great at everything, but when it cos to things in the fields, you really don’t understand at all.”
“Is sothing so simple actually worth scrutinizing this closely?
Don’t you just know imdiately why this is happening?”
Upon hearing Wang Hong’s words, both Chen Yang and Wu Kexin were stunned.
The two exchanged a bewildered glance and then simultaneously turned to look at Wang Hong.
“Auntie Wang, what do you an by that?
Could it be that you know why this is?” Chen Yang asked sowhat incredulously, probing her intention.
Wang Hong nodded naturally, “Yes, I know.”
Chen Yang and Wu Kexin were even more dumbfounded.
The problem that they had been researching for several days without a clue, Wang Hong knew the answer to it?
That seed a bit unrealistic, right?
Both felt sowhat skeptical, but seeing Wang Hong’s composed expression, they still asked her why this was the case.
Wang Hong cheered again and then casually explained, “Isn’t this just because when the greenhouse was built, a layer of corn stalks was laid underneath?
Those stalks buried in the ground fernted into fertilizer, so naturally, the mushrooms here grow better.”
Wang Hong’s breezy explanation imdiately made Chen Yang’s eyes widen!
“I, how could I have forgotten about this?
This plot of land used to be a corn field, and I buried the residue underneath the nutrient layer as fertilizer because it was too much trouble to clean up!” Chen Yang slapped the ground excitedly!
Now!
He finally recalled the unique aspect of the greenhouse construction process!
Chen Yang suddenly beca excited, startling Wang Hong who was beside him.
“Ah, so that’s it.
What’s the matter, Yang Zi?
Why are you so excited?” At that mont, Wang Hong still hadn’t realized how important her reminder was to Chen Yang.
“Auntie Wang!
I really can’t thank you enough!
Thank you for reminding !
If this turns out well, I’ll give you a raise!” Chen Yang, too excited to respond to Wang Hong’s question, loudly thanked her and abruptly stood up and ran out.
Imdiately following, Wu Kexin also excitedly ran out.
Wang Hong, watching the two of them suddenly run out in excitent, was utterly bewildered, thinking to herself, what’s going on here?
Was such a minor matter really worth such excitent?
Wang Hong stood there bewildered for a while, but soon she also burst into laughter.
Because she rembered what Chen Yang had said about giving her a raise just before he ran out!
…
After running out of the greenhouse, Chen Yang dashed ho and went straight to the backyard.
After scanning the area quickly, he spotted the scythe, grabbed it, and ran out the back door.
Seeing this, Wu Kexin hurriedly followed him out.
Eventually, alongside Chen Yang, they stopped in a corn field behind the backyard.
“Cut!”
After standing in front of the corn field for a few seconds, Chen Yang suddenly shouted “Cut!” and then, bending down like a machine, quickly started harvesting the unripe corn.
Fortunately, Wu Kexin understood why Chen Yang was doing this; otherwise, she surely would have thought that Chen Yang had gone mad.
Because Chen Yang’s surprisingly jumpy deanor really did seem…
Knowing Chen Yang’s intention, Wu Kexin did not idle after following him there.
As Chen Yang cut in front, she followed behind to clean up, gathering all the cut corn stalks into piles, ready to be carried away.
Working in such tandem, it didn’t take long for them to prepare two piles of green corn stalks.
Chen Yang turned and felt it was about enough, and so he stopped.
After handing the scythe to Wu Kexin, he grabbed a pile of stalks in each hand and carried them back ho.
