Chapter 966: Chapter 962 Handling Snake at
Leaving the farm, Chen Yang realized that almost an hour had passed.
So he carried the arm-thick Gold snake, crossed the field ridge, and arrived at the edge of the forest where Wangcai was left.
When Chen Yang got there, he didn’t see Wangcai.
He thought Wangcai might still be inside catching rabbits, so he casually found a clean field ridge to sit on and waited for Wangcai to co out of the forest.
After waiting for about ten minutes, Wangcai finally ran out of the forest.
When it ca out, Wangcai was initially heading in another direction, but upon seeing Chen Yang, it hurriedly carried a rabbit and ran over to him.
“Wangcai, you only caught one rabbit today?”
Chen Yang looked at Wangcai and couldn’t help but ask.
Wangcai let go of the rabbit in its mouth and then barked.
It seed as if it was trying to explain sothing.
“Are there more rabbits?”

Wangcai answered promptly, and Chen Yang understood what it ant.
“If there are, hurry and bring them all over. It’s getting late.” Chen Yang said.
Upon hearing this, Wangcai turned around without another word and ran off.
It ran to a hidden field ridge nearby and dug out seven or eight large rabbits from a pile of grass.
Seeing this, Chen Yang couldn’t help but laugh.
“Not bad! You’re quite efficient, I underestimated you.” Chen Yang said, carrying a snake in one hand and rabbits in the other, smiling as he walked over to Wangcai.
Wangcai might have heard Chen Yang praise it.
It raised its neck proudly and barked with more confidence, looking quite smug.
Though Wangcai seed a bit cheeky, Chen Yang still smiled and continued to praise the dog.
After all, today’s performance was quite impressive with six or seven rabbits caught in an hour.
“Hehe, well done, you’ll get plenty of Elixir, and as a reward, I’ll grill rabbits for you tonight.” Chen Yang said, patting Wangcai’s head, then gathered all the rabbits and headed back to Liuhe Village.

The auntie was impressed and gave Chen Yang a thumbs up.
“Impressive, Yang Zi, you’ll have a feast tonight. This kind of snake at is the most delicious.”
“Hehe, that’s exactly the plan.” Chen Yang chuckled, carried the snake, and left the village entrance, heading straight to the dical center.
“Wangcai, you don’t have anything to do now. Go rest a bit, I’ll call you when it’s ready.” Back at the house, Chen Yang noticed Wangcai still circling around him and asked it to go rest in its bed.
But the dog acted as if it hadn’t heard, still wagging its tail and circling Chen Yang.
It looked like it was trying to ingratiate itself.
But upon close observation, one could notice.
Though it was wandering around, its eyes were always fixed on the Gold snake in his hand.
“Is Wangcai interested in this? Does it want to eat it too?”
Chen Yang was puzzled but didn’t think about it for long.
“If you want to eat, I’ll prepare so for you later. We have plenty anyway.” Chen Yang patted Wangcai’s head, then took the snake to the backyard to prepare it.
Once it’s all prepared, he could make a hot pot out of it.
Chen Yang went to the backyard and focused on handling the Gold snake at the faucet, along with six or seven rabbits.
He was quick at handling the rabbits because he was experienced, so it didn’t take much ti.
But the snake at was sothing Chen Yang was dealing with for the first ti, so it took quite a while.
By the ti he was done, it was already dark.
So Chen Yang hurried to the kitchen to start a fire and simr the hot pot base, then he put the sliced snake at into the pot to stew.
Though Chen Yang hadn’t cooked snake at before, he was familiar with hot pots.
He estimated that the snake at wouldn’t be ready for at least another hour.
So he added two handfuls of firewood and didn’t wait around in the kitchen; instead, he went to the backyard to take the rabbit at to Uncle Niu’s house to freeze.
He harvested too much today and couldn’t consu it all, so he’d keep the rest for later.
Back in the backyard, Chen Yang had just put the rabbits in a basin, ready to go to Uncle Niu’s when he found that Wangcai and Eagle brother had started sharing the Gold snake’s innards.
Chen Yang knew Eagle brother liked to eat innards.
But he’d never seen Wangcai eat innards.
“What’s up with you today? You seem quite odd, even eating innards. Don’t you want grilled rabbit?” Chen Yang walked over to Wangcai and spoke.
Wangcai was voraciously devouring, afraid of getting less, so it didn’t pay attention to Chen Yang, just kept eating.
How strange.
Though Chen Yang found it odd, he didn’t think deeply about it and went over to Uncle Niu’s house, storing the rabbit at in the fridge.
After placing the items, Chen Yang planned to go back and continue with the hot pot.
But he was held back by Niu Ming to chat about wild mountain cows.
This matter had been going on for so ti, and due to them consuming Elixir daily, the wild mountain cows had grown up, with so even about to give birth.
Chen Yang was surprised upon hearing this but pondered the effect of his Elixir and realized the timing was about right.
“Yang Zi, the cows have grown nicely. How’s the renovation going over there? When will you open?” Niu Ming asked Chen Yang curiously.
Chen Yang could see Niu Ming was eager to get started; otherwise, he wouldn’t be so anxious.
“Niu Ming, I haven’t been following the renovations much these days, but I think it won’t take much longer. Don’t worry, I’ll inform you as soon as it’s finished.” Chen Yang patted his shoulder, indicating patience.
Niu Ming nodded: “Okay, I’ll wait for your good news.”
Chen Yang replied, then left Uncle Niu’s house.
Leaving Uncle Niu’s house and returning to the dical center, Chen Yang happened to pass the door when Wang Qingyue and Dai Annie finished their conversation and ca out together.
The two won looked at Chen Yang with so odd expression, halfway amused, as if they had discovered so little secret of his.
Chen Yang froze for a mont, couldn’t help but ask: “Why are you both looking at like that? Is there sothing on my face?”
Saying this, Chen Yang instinctively touched his face.
This action directly amused Dai Annie and Wang Qingyue.
“There’s nothing on your face!”
Dai Annie said with a smile.
“Then why are you looking at like that?” Chen Yang was more bewildered.
“Hmph.” Dai Annie snorted softly and said, “We just want to look at you like that.”
Chen Yang felt a bit baffled but seeing Dai Annie say it was nothing, he didn’t think much of it.
And was about to change the subject to ntion sothing tasty, but Dai Annie suddenly added with a half-smile: “Didn’t expect you to be such a naughty rascal!”
