Chapter 1097: Chapter 1094 Whetted Appetite
The dishes were mostly light or strong, prepared to be sent to Zhao Qingqing. Ye Muyu couldn’t help but worry whether yesterday’s incident was a result of her own involvement, for the Lin family was more eager to deal with her than Zhao Qingqing. If they targeted Zhao Qingqing, it was surely to scheme against her.
Feeling uneasy, Ye Muyu personally made some appetizing dishes, hoping that they would agree with her appetite.

The other portion she kept warm in a pot, instructing the servants to take it to the yamen before noon.
Chef Zhang and the others swallowed their saliva but did not dare to take the slightest bite.
After all, these were prepared for the family. They were honored to have even witnessed the preparation.
“My lady, may we learn how to cook the dishes you just made?” Chef Zhang and the Kitchen Maid asked with hesitation.
Ye Muyu glanced at them and said, “If you truly wish to learn, of course you can.”
“Thank you, my lady.” The two happily knelt in gratitude.
Ye Muyu lifted her head, waiting for them to stand up, before she spoke again, “From now on, all meals in the residence will need to e from your main kitchen. Be prepared mentally for this.”
“My lady, we will not let you down,” they pledged.
“Be mindful of the expenses for the entire kitchen,” Ye Muyu admonished them with a couple of sentences before walking out of the kitchen.

Zhao Qingqing had had a taxing day yesterday and ended up having to take a cold bath to find relief. She woke up this morning feeling sluggish even after taking her medicine, and quite unfortable.
She heard the maidservants saying that the Chu family had sent over some delicious meals.
Her eyes lit up, and she immediately opened them wide, saying hastily, “Quick, bring it in.”
She was actually very hungry, but her illness had robbed her of her appetite. The hunger made her unfortable, the disfort made her reluctant to eat, creating a vicious cycle.
Soon, Red Dates brought in the food box that had just been warmed over the stove.
Zhao Qingqing looked at the table full of dishes and sniffed, “It smells so good.”
