With Chu Heng not causing trouble, Ye Muyu finally had a peaceful moment to feed Nuanbao. After feeding, Nuanbao obediently closed their eyes and fell asleep, making her heart melt.
So obedient and cute, she wanted to kiss them a few more times.
After tidying up her clothes and applying some lotions to her face, Ye Muyu made a homemade facial mask. She handed Nuanbao to Chu Heng and went into the washroom to freshen up.
Chu Heng looked at the Nuanbao in his arms, then at Ah Yu who walked away, and was unable to prehend for a long time.
Was he being ignored without hesitation?
“Kid, are you here to pete for her affection with me?” Chu Heng said in a melancholic tone.
The truth proved that Chu Heng’s sadness was premature. After this, Ye Muyu got even busier, so busy that she had no time to speak with him.
“Sir, would you like to have your breakfast?” Su Mei’s voice sounded at the door.
Chu Heng realized it was time for breakfast and responded with a grunt.
He put Nuanbao in a small wooden crib with wheels in the room, bringing it to the dining table so he could keep an eye on them.
The breakfast had been ordered long in advance.
In the morning, they cooked vermicelli using rich bone broth, with many ingredients, and served juicy bun soup.
Each person got an egg.
Chu Heng peeled the egg and placed it on Ye Muyu’s plate.
After peeling the egg, he waited for a while, but Ye Muyu still hadn’t e out.
Chu Heng’s handsome eyebrows furrowed. He happened to bump into Chun Xing ing out of the washroom, and he called out to her with a stern face, asking, “Where is the lady?”
Despite having been in the residence for so long, Chun Xing was still somewhat scared when she saw Chu Heng’s stern face.
“L… the lady is wringing her hair.”
“Tell the lady to e and have breakfast first.” Chu Heng hadn’t thought that women had so many steps in their routines. It wasn’t that he thought she was slow, just that he was purely annoyed she was delaying the meal.
Chun Xing’s hand trembled, and she quickly went back to the washroom to tell Ye Muyu.
Ye Muyu, hearing this, waved her hand and said, “It’s okay, let me finish tidying up first.”
If her hair wasn’t dried properly, it might wet her clothes when it slid down her neck, and she would be late in an hour, which wouldn’t be good.
Also in the morning, she wanted to wake up early, but Chu Heng held her back for an extra hour, which made time a bit tight.
Seeing that the lady wasn’t concerned, Chun Xing didn’t say much. Unexpectedly, she ran into Chu Heng as he came looking for Ye Muyu.
Chu Heng saw her startled expression and was displeased, “The lady still hasn’t e out?”
“The lady said… she’ll e out after she’s done,” Chun Xing’s voice grew smaller at the end.
She heard a cold snort from her master beside her, and watched him walk into the washroom. Chun Xing panicked, was the master going to hurt the lady?
She didn’t know where her courage came from but she chased after him into the washroom.
“Lady…” Chun Xing exclaimed in surprise.
Ye Muyu lifted her head instinctively when she heard the voice and looked at the door. Chu Heng did the same.
Staring at by these two important people, Chun Xing felt her body heat up. Especially when she saw the master holding a towel, evidently about to help the lady wring her hair. When he looked at her again with what seemed like a death stare, Chun Xing belatedly realized her misunderstanding.
Her face flushed with embarrassment: “Lady, I… I just accidentally made a slip of the tongue…”
“Hahaha, you silly girl, I thought something serious happened,” Ye Muyu chuckled and waved her hand, “Go have your meal, you don’t need to serve me here. You’ll need to go out with me later anyway.”
