Chapter 1338: Chapter 1335 Let him speak

“Su i is handling things well, it’s just that so of the details…” Madam Liu felt it was still improper, after all, if the wrong gifts were sent, it would be the Chu family’s reputation at stake. Letting servants prepare them would be far too casual.

Seeing that she had misunderstood, Ye Muyu explained, “Mother, what I ant is that Su i will prepare the gifts, and I will only need to review them. It would save effort, and Su i could also earn a little extra reward. Why not do it?”

“We keep people on hand to use them. If we take on everything ourselves, wouldn’t it be exhausting? If you wear yourself out, it won’t be worth it.”

Madam Liu, after being reminded, sowhat understood her aning, but she had always been hardworking since childhood. Even after coming to the capital, right up until before Ye Muyu gave birth, she had never been in charge of the household, focusing all her attention on the Orchid Shop instead.

Now being asked to manage the house, and with the frequent gift-giving, she truly realized how tiring it was to be a housekeeper; before it all seed like minor troubles.

Even when she wasn’t managing the house, she still felt apprehensive.

Ye Muyu understood this mindset and offered so encouragent.

Madam Liu did not say it was either good or bad, only that the luggage was ready and they could depart after three days.

After talking for a while longer, she stood up and called Chu Ziluo and Lil’ Jin, “Ziluo, Lil’ Jin, go back to your own affairs, don’t disturb your mother’s rest.”

“Mother, I will co again tomorrow,” said Chu Ziluo dutifully. Observant and considerate, she noticed the fatigue on Ye Muyu’s face and, thinking of Doctor Lu’s instructions, saw no reason not to heed Madam Liu’s words.

Lil’ Jin, though reluctant to leave, thought of sothing and did not linger.

Once everyone was gone, Ye Muyu was indeed tired and no longer hid it, lying down on the bed to rest imdiately.

It was before noon when she awoke.

Upon waking up, Ye Muyu propped herself up and called for Su i, who was outside the room.

“Lady, what’s the matter?” Su i walked in quickly, deliberately keeping her voice low to avoid disturbing the Young Master’s rest.

Ye Muyu’s cheeks were a bit red. When Su i ca closer, she cleared her throat lightly and said, “I’m feeling a bit unwell…”

She had not finished speaking when Chu Heng strode in from the doorway.

Seeing him, Ye Muyu was extrely surprised and quickly cut off what she was saying, “Ah Heng, why have you co back so early?”

“After leaving the palace, it happened to be ti for the noon break, so I clocked out and ca back,” he said.

“Oh, oh.” Ye Muyu’s gaze flickered as she avoided his look and winked at Su i.

After getting her signal, Su i was about to get a cloth to co over.

That’s when she heard Nuanbao starting to whimper and cry from the other side.

“Third Young Master…” Su i instinctively moved towards the sound.

She had not made it far before Chu Heng beat her to it. He bent over, picked up the child, and asked, “Is he hungry?”

As he spoke, he awkwardly opened the diaper, saw it wasn’t wet, and beca even more convinced of his guess, especially since Nuanbao was sucking on his fingers, a sign of hunger.

“Where’s the wet nurse who was prepared earlier?” Chu Heng inquired.

Su i answered, “The wet nurse is resting at the residence, but the Lady said…”

“I want to breastfeed him myself,” Ye Muyu’s cheeks grew warm. Seeing Chu Heng’s gaze turn to her and feeling her discomfort, she stiffly said, “Bring the child here to .”

Chu Heng frowned, “You’re not in good health, there’s no need to breastfeed the child. I’ve heard that breastfeeding isn’t necessarily good for the mother.”

“If Nuanbao knew you said that, you can forget about having a filial son in the future,” Ye Muyu rolled her eyes at him.

Chu Heng, however, looked very serious, “As a junior, even if he knew, he should be the one to offer proactively.”

Ye Muyu laughed and poked Nuanbao’s cheek, “Alright then, let’s see you make him speak up.”
