Liuye stayed in the small kitchen, watching the fire with Aunty Hu.
Ye Muyu returned indoors and had just closed the door when she heard sounds from the bed.
Turning around, she saw Chu Heng propping himself up on the bed, trying to sit up.
She quickly walked over to help him up and arranged a soft pillow, “Why are you busy getting up? It’s better to lie down properly.”
“After sleeping for a bit, I’m feeling better and don’t want to lie down anymore.” Chu Heng’s voice was sowhat hoarse, carrying the drowsiness of just waking up.
Ye Muyu, after waiting for him to sit properly, got up to pour a cup of hot tea to warm his throat.
“I’ve asked the small kitchen to simr black chicken soup for you. The main kitchen has prepared quite a lot of food and has also cooked chicken soup, but it’s a bit greasy. I’m worried you might not be able to drink it now, so I didn’t have it brought over. If there’s anything you want to eat, I’ll have the main kitchen send it over. Chu Heng hadn’t managed to stop her before she disappeared out of sight.
He smiled softly, reaching for a book from the headboard’s bookcase, glanced over at the small bed where Nuanbao was peacefully resting, quietly recovering inside the house.
Ye Muyu was quite fast.
She was really worried about Chu Heng being hungry.
In just fifteen minutes, she not only brought over hawthorn and red date cakes but also pork foot and soybean soup, stir-fried wood ear with pig liver, and stead fish.
Chu Heng looked up, seeing her enter, casually placed the book aside and instinctively reached out to take the food.
Ye Muyu quickly scolded him, “Don’t move, Chun Xing and I will handle it, don’t end up pulling your wound.”
Chun Xing opened the baby chair in the room, pushed it to the bedside, and Ye Muyu placed the food box down, taking out the warm dishes.
Nuanbao had already woken up, currently sitting in the little bed, looking curiously at the food in Ye Muyu’s hands.
Ye Muyu had Chun Xing go to rest.
