Chapter 1629: Chapter 1626: News

If not for knowing it was sothing she left there, Ye Muyu wouldn’t have known what it was.

“Add a little more,” Ye Muyu said aloud.

Chu Heng quickly added so, the quantity was just right, not too spicy, and added a bit of flavor.

Ye Muyu picked up a spoon and took a sip of the soup. The bone broth simred for two hours was very fresh, with added dried shrimp enhancing the taste. The seasoning was just right, not too strong or too bland.

She fed a small wonton into her mouth. The wonton skin was thin; with a gentle bite, she could taste the fresh wood ear at filling. The at was not dry, very tender, and the wood ear was crispy.

Seeing her satisfied, Chu Heng couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Then he brought the vegetable porridge over to quickly finish breakfast.

The vegetable porridge had shredded at added, and was also made with bone broth, not at all thin.

Ye Muyu glanced at it, tapping her fingers on the table. When Chu Heng looked over, she said, “I want a sip of porridge.”

“Okay, try it.” Chu Heng scooped a spoonful of porridge and brought it to her lips.

Ye Muyu looked at him, not moving, deliberately being contrary, just glancing at him, “I don’t want you to feed .”

“But your hands aren’t free,” Chu Heng smiled thick-skinned, holding her hand tightly, fingers interlocked on purpose.

He coaxed in a gentle voice, “Ah Yu, I’m sorry, I was wrong.”

“You try it, it’s really tasty.”

Ye Muyu pouted, looking angrily at him, and deliberately turned her head away.

Chu Heng wasn’t angry either. He gently blew the porridge to a suitable temperature and traced his finger in her palm, “Be good, don’t be angry. No matter how mad you are, you can’t let yourself go hungry, right?”

“Besides, I was wrong. You can punish , but why punish yourself? Don’t you want to see suffer?”

Chu Heng whispered in her ear.

Ye Muyu perked up, moved by his words, turned her head, and looked at him intently, “Then promise one thing.”

“What is it?” Chu Heng asked softly, maintaining his composure.

“I’ll tell you when you co ho tonight,” Ye Muyu said, not giving a direct answer, ignoring his reaction, and intentionally tilted her chin with a deliberate flair.

Chu Heng smiled helplessly, knowing he had angered his wife last night, and could only nod in agreent, trying to appease her first.

“Okay, I promise you.”

Only then did Ye Muyu graciously eat the porridge from the spoon.

Seeing her enjoy it, Chu Heng offered another spoonful.

Ye Muyu stopped after two spoonfuls, “I don’t want anymore, you eat slowly.”

After speaking, she huffed twice in irritation, “Why did you use the spoon you used, it’s indirect…”

Chu Heng chuckled, reaching out to touch her face. With a slight force, he made it red, “Ah Yu, we’ve done things much more intimate than this, why be bothered, I don’t mind.”

While speaking, he scooped so porridge with the spoon, fed it into his mouth, and licked it clean.

Ye Muyu was shocked by his shalessness and quickly stopped him, “Alright, stop saying that, end this topic.”

Chu Heng obeyed and really stopped talking about it, just looked at her smiling, corners of his mouth slightly upturned, unable to suppress.

Faced with his straightforward gaze, Ye Muyu no longer wanted to speak to him, burying her head to finish breakfast.

After finishing breakfast.

Chu Heng went to change clothes to go to the yan for work.

Though he didn’t need to attend morning court, the Beirong Royal Family hadn’t left yet, Princess Weisaiya’s marriage was unresolved, and the Sacred Girl of Southern Border left in the capital. With these people in the capital, there was plenty to be busy with.
