It wasn’t completely dry. He glanced again at the cloth towel that had fallen to the ground, unsure of when it had dropped.
He reached out and gently pressed Ye Muyu’s scalp, softly calling her: "Ah Yu, wake up first. Sleeping like this will give you a headache."
Ye Muyu hazily woke up, still half-asleep, her movents sluggish. She rubbed her eyes, yawned, and mumbled, "When did you co back?"
Chu Heng had already picked up the towel and had gone to get another one before coming back, reaching out to dry her hair.
Ye Muyu wanted to say it wasn’t necessary, thinking her hair was dry, but when she touched it, she found it still had so dampness. Clearly, she had fallen asleep before drying her hair completely.
Her hand paused on her hair, and she instinctively looked at Chu Heng. Seeing him earnestly drying her hair without any intention of brushing it off, she recalled past experiences, quickly withdrawing her hand and swallowing her words, obediently letting Chu Heng help with drying her hair.
By now, Ye Muyu was more or less awake. Thinking for a mont, she reached out to hug his waist and then asked, "So, Ah Heng, is the matter resolved?"
"The person was sent back to the dical clinic," Chu Heng glanced down at her.
Ye Muyu promptly smiled ingratiatingly, tightening her hug around his waist a bit more: "Uh... did it cause you any trouble?"
"Why don’t you ask if Lu Sangqi is alright first?" Chu Heng deliberately asked, his tone alone revealing he was teasing.
Ye Muyu looked puzzled: "Why ask? Since he’s back, he must be fine."
Her words successfully pleased Chu Heng, and his movents while drying her hair beca gentler: "The Elder Princess cooperated in finding him, so it was no trouble for . Don’t worry."
"It’s good there was no trouble." Ye Muyu sighed with relief, resting her cheek against his abdon, her voice a bit lazy: "I was just afraid you would be too forceful and offend soone, with Minister Qi and his group watching from the side like hawks. It’s a bit troubleso. You’re usually busy enough, and if you got into more trouble because of this, I’d feel even more guilty."
"Really, it’s nothing. Don’t think too much about it," Chu Heng’s fingers gently massaged her scalp.
Ye Muyu nodded: "Mm, I trust what you say. You wouldn’t lie to ."
"What if I did lie to you?" Chu Heng continued to slowly massage her scalp, his technique making Ye Muyu feel extrely comfortable.
Hearing this, she had no surplus reaction, rely saying calmly, "Impossible, you wouldn’t lie to ."
"Ah Yu." Chu Heng’s Adam’s apple shifted slightly, his voice a bit hoarse.
He lifted her chin with his hand, leaned down, and their faces were so close, they could feel each other’s breaths.
Ye Muyu’s cheeks flushed, her eyes looking at him were moist.
How could Chu Heng resist her gaze? He slowly leaned down and captured her lips, mumbling through his lips and teeth, "I did deceive you a bit, Lu Sangqi is a little injured, not entirely fine."
"...I know." Ye Muyu caught her breath in between kisses, whispering in reply: "So... so it’s not really deceiving, I guessed as much."
Chu Heng responded with the most passionate kiss, answering his attitude towards her reply.
The next day, Ye Muyu found an opportunity to visit Lu Sangqi at the dical clinic.
When she arrived, the clinic was, as usual, open.
