Just watching him with a smile on her lips, feeling like she could never get enough.
"You’ve lost weight."
"Looking haggard."
"Have you been too busy to eat while you’re out?"
"Oh, why work so hard? The Emperor can find a few more officials to ease your burden."
She muttered, softly voicing the complaints she’d kept in her heart over the past few days.
Perhaps it was because her gaze was too fervent.
Chu Heng woke up as soon as she started speaking.
Yet he noticed Ye Muyu’s movents, hesitated a bit, but still didn’t open his eyes, secretly wanting to see what she intended to do.
After listening, he couldn’t help but chuckle.
His fingers gently brushed, wanting to hold her hair and tousle it.
As Chu Heng thought of doing so, he did it, threading his fingers through her hair, gently massage her scalp.
"Ah Heng, you’re awake?" Ye Muyu realized as soon as he moved, her ears reddening as she stealthily glanced at him.
Chu Heng looked down at her, his voice slightly husky from waking up: "Mm, awake so early?"
"Mm, I’m not sleepy anymore." Ye Muyu obviously lied, not at all unsleepy; she just intentionally woke up early to talk to Chu Heng.
After all, it had been eight days since they last spoke.
Except for the few years ago when Chu Heng traveled abroad for work, they’d never been apart for so long.
"If you’re sleepy, go back to sleep. I’ll be ho early today." How could Chu Heng not see through her thoughts, he reached out and rubbed her cheek.
Being pacified, Ye Muyu felt a bit happier, her eyes curled up in a smile as she poked his chest: "Are you planning to co back early because you know what day it is today?"

He rembered it was about May or June for Nuanbao.
But it shouldn’t be quite yet...
With a hint of helplessness, Ye Muyu rubbed her forehead: "No, it’s Abo’s birthday. Don’t tell you don’t even know Nuanbao’s birthday."
"I do know. I just thought the nearest one would be Nuanbao’s birthday." Chu Heng coughed lightly, hurriedly explaining, fearing he’d upset his wife.
Ye Muyu stared at him for a while, seeing he wasn’t at all guilty, she decided to reluctantly believe this explanation.
"Alright then, I’ll barely believe your explanation. I’ve already prepared a gift."
"Second sister-in-law invited our entire family over for lunch. I’m planning to go earlier; will you pick us up later at second brother’s house?" Considering they might stay at the second household for dinner, Ye Muyu suggested.
Chu Heng naturally had no objections, he reached out and pulled her into his arms, "You should sleep a bit more."
"I’m already awake, don’t want to sleep." Ye Muyu obediently snuggled in his arms, but even after Chu Heng’s persuasion, she still didn’t want to sleep; she just wanted to watch him.
Chu Heng had no choice; he lowered his head, helplessly asking, "Why not sleep?"
"No reason, just can’t sleep." Ye Muyu dismissively reached to cover his eyes. If she hadn’t yawned while doing so, it would have been quite convincing.
Chu Heng let out a light laugh, reaching to lift her chin up, and since they were already close, they could feel each other’s breathing even more intimately now.
"Being naughty? Missed ?"
Ye Muyu’s answer was ultimately sealed with a gentle, sweet kiss.
Ye Muyu obediently let him kiss her.
