"I am leaving now. Do not give up on the position of Vice Minister of Revenue; if you have confidence, strive for it." Chu Heng encouraged the two.

Zhang Zhi paused for a mont and nodded, not backing down just because the position originally belonged to Chu Heng. He looked determined, "My lord, I will do my best."

Liu Ruying was still imrsed in the sadness of Chu Heng’s departure.

He reached out and punched him on the shoulder, looking heartbroken, "Do you have a heart? How could you say this in front of the lord?"

"The lord will return sooner or later," Liu Ruying sniffed, feeling a bit upset.

Zhang Zhi showed so helplessness at his words but didn’t directly poke his fragile heart.

"Yes, the lord will return. We can’t possibly let this position go to soone else. It must remain within our people, don’t you agree?" Zhang Zhi spoke in a low voice.

Liu Ruying’s eyes widened in sudden realization and he praised by patting his shoulder, "Zhang Zhi, you’re smart after all."

In a place where Liu could not see, Zhang Zhi’s mouth twitched.

Unwilling to talk to this naive child, he raised his head and nodded toward Chu Heng, "Rest assured, my lord, I will take good care of everyone. If you need help, just contact us."

"Do your best; your future is boundless." Chu Heng gave encouragent.

With varied thoughts, the people in the Ministry of Revenue watched as Chu Heng left the yan, got onto a carriage, and went to report to the Ministry of War.

The Ministry of War Office was one street away from the Ministry of Revenue.

This area was full of official offices, very quiet, not a bustling market, with no obstructions. The carriage stopped at the Ministry of War.

Chu Heng took the transfer order, already completed at the Ministry of Revenue, and got off the carriage.

The entrance of the Ministry of War Office was quiet.

Only the bailiffs on duty stood behind the door.

A minor official of the sixth rank was waiting outside the yan.

Seeing Chu Heng, he had an assessing look in his eyes and wore the typical not-too-close, not-too-distant smile seen in the official circle.

Chu Heng had just steadied himself outside the yan.

In the distance, the sound of horses echoed from the street.

Following the sound, Chu Heng saw a group of about ten people, led by soone on horseback clad in armor, and instantly recognized them.

The horse ca to a slow stop about three steps away from Chu Heng.

The King of Huainan tugged at the reins, looking at the refined and upright young man before him. His official attire lent him a touch of gravitas, though his young face suggested a lack of intimidatory authority.

The King of Huainan dismounted, followed quickly by guards who ca forward to take his reins.

"Lord Chu, how have you been?" The King of Huainan took two steps forward toward Chu Heng. His square face wasn’t particularly striking, but age was visible, as so black hair near his temples bore traces of white.

His deanor was good, exuding a sense of iron-blooded courage and decisiveness.

Chu Heng returned the gesture of respect, "This official greets Your Highness."

"Is Lord Chu going to enter the Ministry of War?" The King of Huainan had a look of appreciation in his eyes, and his attitude toward Chu Heng carried a touch of warmth, yet it wasn’t overly affectionate.

It was like his attitude toward an admired junior.

Considering the King of Huainan’s age and his years of serving in the court, Chu Heng was indeed considered his junior.

After all, to put it bluntly, Chu Heng was the new rising star.

Chu Heng nodded, raising his hand, "Is Your Highness also? Please."

"Coincidentally, I also need to visit the Ministry of War. Could it be that Lord Chu will be responsible for the handover with ?"

Chu Heng and the King of Huainan walked side by side into the yan.

The sixth-ranked official waiting there quickly called for servants to notify Minister Xiang of the Ministry of War when he saw the King of Huainan.

Upon seeing the King of Huainan actively converse with Chu Heng, it was clear he showed care and closeness to him.
