The Crown Prince of Ande winked at King Qi, displaying a roguish deanor: "Since Your Highness is here, would you like to enjoy so music and dance?"
Li Chongjin’s gaze swept across the faces of the officials present, finally landing on several profligate sons.
Those profligate sons looked a bit displeased, a sort of irritation from being interrupted during a favorable mont.
He pursed his lips as if sipping tea, though the tea actually trickled down his sleeve; he squinted, feeling he had arrived at just the right mont today.
King Qi intended to stay; seeing no reaction from Li Chongjin, he apparently wasn’t planning to leave imdiately either, so he nodded.
The Crown Prince of Ande squinted slightly, waved his hand to have the housekeeper arrange for the dancers to co and perform, with tea served simultaneously.
In private, he quietly instructed the housekeeper to take care of those who were not clean enough.
The housekeeper nodded lightly and left, understanding fully.
Soon, the dancers in front began to dance, and the sound of musical instrunts echoed throughout the courtyard, bringing back the lively atmosphere.
Li Chongjin watched the dance, but barely engaged in any conversation.
However, King Qi seed to have a closer relationship with the Crown Prince of Ande.
"Your Highness, may I toast to you? The person you’re looking for, I’ve already arranged soone to search for them, but it might trouble Your Highness to wait a little while." The Crown Prince of Ande discreetly probed: "I’m curious how the person Your Highness seeks ca to be at my residence?"
King Qi hesitated for a mont but still raised his wine cup to clink with his: "My man only found that they disappeared outside the Marquis’s Mansion; as for why, I do not know."
"Your Highness ans that the person disappeared suddenly? Is there any witness? If it was because that person had connections with the residence servants, I could follow up on the nas to avoid wasting your ti." The Crown Prince of Ande sneered inwardly, was King Qi intending to co over to catch sothing against him? So lax that he didn’t even bother to find a better excuse, not even trying to hide it in front of him.
Indeed, in recent years, the Marquis of Ande’s status has been declining, and this Lord was recently dealt a heavy blow, losing the emperor’s favor, unexpectedly now he regards him so lowly.
The Crown Prince of Ande lowered his gaze, suppressing a hint of malice.
"My man found the sachet he carried outside the Marquis of Ande’s Mansion, with no witnesses, it’s a bother to trouble the Princely Heir to look thoroughly. If the Beirong Prince were to learn of this, it wouldn’t be good for it to escalate, that’s why I ca personally." King Qi’s nature was rely gentle, inherently soft, but that didn’t an he was unaware.
The Crown Prince of Ande understood the deeper aning behind his words, not minding to warn him once more.
The expression on the Crown Prince of Ande’s face stiffened but quickly regained composure, though a shadow briefly flashed in his eyes.
"What Your Highness says is true, thank you for your ticulous consideration, I’ll certainly look for the person diligently."
He seized another opportunity to pour so more wine for King Qi.
After entertaining King Qi, the Crown Prince of Ande saw the housekeeper return, nodding towards him from the shadows.
The Crown Prince of Ande lowered his eyes, understanding everything, and in a place unnoticed by others, a sinister smile crept onto his lips.
He walked over to offer wine to Li Chongjin.
Li Chongjin saw him approach and only squinted his eyes, accepting the wine without hesitation.
Soon, Li Chongjin consud quite a bit.
The Crown Prince of Ande was sowhat surprised and praised: "Lord Rong, you can hold your drink well, we haven’t had much interaction before, if you don’t mind, would you be the first I invite when I host banquets in the future?"
He asked tentatively.
