Capítulo 1997: Chapter 1994: Aggrieved

Previously, Ye Muyu had a sudden idea and had colored glaze installed above the hot spring pool, along with parasols.

So even though it’s quite hot now, with this setup, there’s no need to worry about getting sunburned.

Of course, the cooling effect is average, but the benefits of soaking in the hot springs, such as dehumidification and disinfection, are undeniable. It’s also a good choice to soak again after the sun sets.

“I’ll have soone ask Lady Zhou and Yuanyuan later. We can soak for a while before resting.” Ye Muyu wasn’t concerned about the sequence; whatever made them happy was best.

When Chu Heng asked about it, he saw Ye Muyu busy calling people over to inform the various ladies and young misses.

It completely missed his intentions, leaving him montarily speechless, before he reached out to stop her: “Ah Yu, where are you going to soak later?”

“I’ll go to the won’s pool.” Ye Muyu didn’t think much of it. All those who ca this ti were female family mbers, who were also her friends.

It was only right for her to entertain them.

Hearing this, Chu Heng’s mouth twitched slightly downwards as he looked at her, his eyes sowhat wistful: “You really are… forget it, go ahead.”

Ye Muyu only realized Chu Heng’s disappointnt afterwards, staring at him for a while before suddenly smiling and leaning in to kiss his cheek.

“Mm, later tonight, I’ll accompany you!” Ye Muyu couldn’t bear to spend all of her ti with friends.

After all, Chu Heng’s holiday only lasted for three days.

She also wanted to spend more ti with Chu Heng, and sneaking in so affection was a bonus.

After kissing him several more tis, she finally managed to pacify Chu Heng.

Ye Muyu didn’t delay any further and quickly got up to leave. She didn’t go to find Lady Zhou.

Instead, she headed directly to the kitchen.

She had brought a Kitchen Maid with her this ti.

But since Chu Heng rarely needed comforting, Ye Muyu couldn’t stand him feeling left out, so she planned to make a few dishes herself to send to Chu Heng, knowing he’d likely be alone in the small hot spring’s inner chamber later.

After all, Chu Heng, being a man, was not suited for entertaining guests, and Ye Muyu wouldn’t let anyone disturb him either.

If the gender roles of this era weren’t so strict, Chu Heng wouldn’t have to dine alone.

The more she thought about it, the more her heart ached for him.

In the main kitchen, upon seeing Ye Muyu arrive personally, the original Kitchen Maid of the Manor was trembling slightly, kneeling on the ground, not daring to make any unnecessary movents.

On the other hand, Aunty Hu, who had followed from the Chu family, felt a sense of familiarity upon seeing Ye Muyu, “Lady, are you planning to cook yourself?”

Aunty Hu was quite familiar with Ye Muyu.

Su i had already inford the main kitchen of the lunch preparations, and she had put on so difficult-to-cook soups beforehand.

Due to the uncertainty of Lady Zhou’s tastes, Ye Muyu had previously instructed the preparation of a variety of lunch options, both light and flavorful, including Hunan, Cantonese, Sichuan, and capital cuisines.

Peking Roast Duck required an oven for roasting, which the kitchen at the Manor lacked, so it was out of the question.

However, the Shredded Pork with Beijing Sauce and Crab Roe Tofu were not affected.

Having co to the capital, Aunty Hu had learned to make very authentic flavors.

Because soone had already co to instruct the kitchen on the dishes, Aunty Hu was even more certain upon seeing Ye Muyu that she intended to cook herself.

Such things, the lady often did.

Having such experience, after initially paying her respects, Aunty Hu proceeded to report the current kitchen preparations without any hesitation.

“The chicken soup and old duck soup have both been prepared.”

“Dishes like shredded at have already been cut.”

“Only so vegetables remain unchopped.”

Ye Muyu nodded and entered. The kitchen wasn’t large, and she quickly inspected all the dishes in the kitchen.
