Capítulo 2003: Chapter 2000: Anger
Lu Chuan was called over: “Take to interrogate the survivors.”
“Take people and check everyone on the Manor, make sure not a single spy slips in.” Chu Heng’s voice was sowhat cold, and his demands were even stricter.
Lu Chuan nodded repeatedly and quickly turned around with a team of guards to carry out this task.
Ye Muyu erged from the inner chamber and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Outside, Liuye and Su i had just finished bandaging their wounds and were waiting in the corridor.
Upon seeing Ye Muyu co out, the two hurried over to greet her.
“Are your injuries alright?” Ye Muyu asked.
Liuye shook her head: “No problem, Lady. We servants only have minor injuries. We failed to protect you earlier, please forgive us.”
With that, both of them knelt down together.
Ye Muyu knew the incident was not their fault, and naturally would not involve them.
“Alright, you may rise. Take good care of your wounds; I still need you by my side.” Ye Muyu encouraged.
Ye Muyu did not bla them, which made Su i and Liuye feel sowhat guilty. After hearing these words, they beca even more loyal to Ye Muyu.
“Lady, earlier we discovered those people’s skills were quite good, at least they’ve been training as martial artists for more than five years, and their techniques were very similar, suggesting soone trained them.”
Ye Muyu listened to this, pondering: “Compared to the people we trained, is there any difference?”
She knew Chu Heng had been training people privately.
These individuals had clean identities, often being driven by desperation, most were orphans.
Such commoners were far too nurous in Great Chu, and Chu Heng hardly needed to exert effort to gather such talents.
Given Great Chu’s household registration managent, especially in the local areas, associated with each official, it was impossible to promptly update soone’s identity information.
As a result, a person’s sudden disappearance wouldn’t attract much attention in Great Chu.
After all, the yan records many missing persons.
The majority of missing persons were those who left ho and never returned.
So commoners truly encountered circumstances on the road, but more simply vanished.
Liuye responded to Ye Muyu’s inquiry without reservation: “Our trained personnel still cannot beat them, but in two or three years, there will be no issue.”
Liuye spoke with a bit of enthusiasm, knowing that having such strong personnel would an more colleagues together, making it less likely for others to bully them.
Liuye actually had a rather good life.
She was a servant, yet compared to servants in official residences in the capital, her life was much better, at least never having to worry about the intrigues of the inner chambers or being plotted against.
Additionally, she had martial arts skills, which made her highly utilized.
With her current good life, she was increasingly reluctant to see it deteriorate, naturally hoping to follow the lady and master towards betternt, and expressing strong anger towards anyone wanting to ruin her current good life.
Previously, she encountered two assassins in the courtyard.
Despite her intention to stop them even if injured, she could only hold them off, unable to directly defeat the two.
Nearly causing harm to the lady as a result!
Thinking of this, Liuye felt exceedingly aggrieved, wishing she could imdiately run out to train for several consecutive days and nights, becoming a martial arts master, and make those reckless assassins beg for rcy on their knees.
“Continue recruiting so more people for training.” Ye Muyu decided the matter could not be relaxed.
