The first night arrived after Zhao Rong moved into the dormitory of the campus belle, Lili. In his entire life, Zhao Rong had never shared a room with a girl, let alone spent the night with one. The Serpent Monster loves to prowl at night. It cos and goes without a trace and is utterly terrifying. So, for safety’s sake, we must draw the curtains and lock the door."
Hearing how terrifying the creature was, Zhao Rong asked, "The Serpent Monster? What exactly is it that you make it sound so mysterious?"
"When it crawls, it looks like a snake," Lili told him. "But when it transforms, it becos a gigantic monster. Its power is incredible, and very few of its targets ever escape."
Hearing how incredible the Serpent Monster sounded, Zhao Rong was suddenly eager to see it. He wanted to find out what this so-called monster was really like in this parallel world.
At 10:30 PM, Lili yawned and asked Zhao Rong, "Do you want to shower first, or should I?"
Lili’s dorm had an en-suite bathroom with a translucent glass door. Zhao Rong looked at the glass and sucked in a sharp breath. Bathing in this translucent bathroom... wouldn’t that an...?
An idea struck him. "I’m a bit tired today, Miss Lili. I think I’ll skip it. You go ahead."

Lili’s face lit up. "Good! Then as long as the Serpent Monster doesn’t co, you can keep living in my dorm and protect ."
At the prospect of staying in Lili’s dorm indefinitely, Zhao Rong’s nose started bleeding again. He thought, Damn, if I stay here for a year, does that an I can watch Lili through that mirror on the windowsill every single night...?
Wiping at the fresh trickle of blood, he said, "If I can really keep living with you, Miss Lili, then I, Zhao Rong, must be the luckiest man alive."
Lili looked at him, yawned, and said, "It’s getting late. I’m going to sleep." With that, she slipped under the covers and undid the towel wrapped around her.
Seeing that she slept in the nude, Zhao Rong was stunned. Is Lili giving so kind of hint?
He scrambled under the covers as fast as he could. Although they were sharing a bed, Lili drew an imaginary line down the middle, warning that neither of them was allowed to cross it.
