Hearing that people could not be rewound by the ti reversal, Zhao Rong thought for a mont. "That's fine," he said. "As long as *I* can go back and save my two friends, that's all that matters."
The landlady smiled at his words. "Well, you can certainly give it a try."
So, Zhao Rong calculated the ti he needed to return to and said to Xue Liani, "Xuelian, wait here for a mont. I'll use Instant Teleportation to go back to that point in ti and rescue Miss Lili and Yu Lani from the kidnappers."
Xue Liani nodded, her expression full of concern. "Brother Zhao Rong, hurry back, and please be safe."
Zhao Rong nodded. "I will. Wait for here." With that, he used Instant Teleportation and vanished before the landlady and Xue Liani.
Zhao Rong's teleportation brought him back to the exact mont the two kidnappers were arriving at the three won's dormitory. Quicker than words could describe, Zhao Rong rushed toward the entrance.
At the dormitory entrance, Zhao Rong saw Li Jiang and another man he didn't recognize knocking on the won's door. When the three won opened it, Li Jiang smiled. "Hello, we were sent by the school to take you to get your al cards. Do you have ti now? You can co with us to get it sorted out."
Xue Liani eyed the two n suspiciously and flatly refused. "Sorry, I don't have ti."
Miss Lili and Yu Lani, however, exchanged a look and nodded. "If it's for our al cards, we'll go with you."
Just as Miss Lili and Yu Lani were about to leave with the two strangers, Zhao Rong appeared at the door. He pointed at the n and shouted to the won, "Don't go with them! They're kidnappers!"
When the kidnappers heard this, their hearts skipped a beat. But they quickly composed themselves and smiled at Zhao Rong. "Sir, what do you think you're doing? We're obviously school staff. How could we be kidnappers? You have a wild imagination."
Before they could finish speaking, Zhao Rong moved like lightning and knocked them both to the ground. A quick search revealed clear adhesive tape, ropes, and poisoned needles on their bodies.
When Miss Lili and Yu Lani saw this, they realized the n really were kidnappers and not school staff. They scrambled behind Zhao Rong in terror. "Brother Zhao Rong, thank goodness you arrived in ti! Otherwise, we would have been abducted!"
After subduing the thugs, Zhao Rong tied them up securely and tossed them into his Magic Ring. He then smiled at Miss Lili and Yu Lani. "Alright, I have to go. I ca back from the future to change your fate and ensure you'll be safe tomorrow."
With that, he used Instant Teleportation and vanished right before their eyes.
As Miss Lili and Yu Lani watched him disappear, they looked at each other, bewildered. "What's with Brother Zhao Rong? He cos and goes without a trace, just like a gust of wind..."
When Zhao Rong reappeared in the Ti-Reversing Hotel, he looked at Xue Liani and said excitedly, "Xuelian, I did it! I saved Miss Lili and Yu Lani from the kidnappers!"
But before he could finish his sentence, Xue Liani showed him a video she had just received from the kidnappers. "Brother Zhao Rong, you may have saved them from the first two kidnappers, but right after you left, two more ca and forcefully took Miss Lili and Yu Lani away."
Hearing this, Zhao Rong imdiately checked his Magic Ring. Sure enough, Miss Lili and Yu Lani, who he thought were safe inside, were gone. He couldn't help but gasp in shock.
Lost in thought, he murmured, "This can't be... I have to go back. I have to reverse ti again and save them."
With that, Zhao Rong once again used the Ti-Reversing Hotel to return to the scene. He first rescued Miss Lili and Yu Lani from the initial pair of kidnappers. But this ti, he didn't leave. He waited. A few monts later, sure enough, a second pair of kidnappers appeared. As soon as they reached the won's dormitory, Zhao Rong stepped forward, knocked them to the ground, tied them up, and threw them into his Magic Ring.
He used Instant Teleportation to return to the Ti-Reversing Hotel. To his dismay, he found that Miss Lili and Yu Lani had been kidnapped anyway—by a *third* pair of kidnappers.
He went back to save them a third ti, only to learn they had been taken by a fourth pair. After several frustrating attempts, Zhao Rong discovered a startling pattern: anything that had already happened was an immutable fact. Even using the Ti Reversal Machine to return to the past, he could not change what had already occurred.
With a sudden flash of insight, Zhao Rong understood.
Instead of trying to save them in the past, I should be saving them in the present.
Exhausted, he turned to Xue Liani. "Xuelian, I've discovered a pattern. No matter what, once an event has occurred, it's useless to go back and try to fix it. It's simply unchangeable."
"Then what do we do?" she asked, terrified.
Zhao Rong sat down on a stool, wiped the sweat from his brow, and took a long drink of his beverage. "Our only option is to find the Heavenly Pool Yulan flower and concoct the antidote to save Miss Lili first."
At his words, Xue Liani turned a pleading gaze toward the landlady nearby. When the landlady heard they had co from so far away seeking the Heavenly Pool Yulan flower, she imdiately made it clear they were not welco.
"You're outsiders," she said coolly. "The Heavenly Pool Yulan flower belongs to the people here. We don't welco anyone who cos to pick it. You should leave."
"Please, ma'am," Zhao Rong explained, "we wouldn't have taken such risks or co all this way to Heavenly Pool if we had any other choice. We are desperately trying to save a life."
The landlady remained unmoved. "There are many people in this world who need saving," she said, her voice devoid of compassion. "Do you expect us to open the way for you just because you ask? If we did that for you today, thousands more would arrive tomorrow, demanding to pick the Heavenly Pool Yulan flower.
"It is an exceedingly rare and precious plant. Its numbers are limited, and it is not for just anyone to have. So please, leave."
