The mont Zhao Rong typed "Invisibility Cloak," dozens of different styles appeared. He picked one with a reasonable price and good quality, then selected the fastest delivery thod: the Express Cannon.
The so-called Express Cannon was a delivery system where, after a purchase, the seller used the Beidou Satellite network to pinpoint the custor's location. Then, using a specially modified cannon, they would fire the package directly to them. This incredibly fast thod had beco the most popular form of delivery among custors.
Zhao Rong had barely finished the purchase and hadn't even put his phone away when the package containing his Invisibility Cloak dropped from the sky. As he picked it up, he looked toward the heavens and remarked with feeling, "This Express Cannon is amazing. The delivery is so fast it's addictive..."
He then unwrapped the package and took out five garnts that looked like thin sun-protection jackets.
When Lili saw what looked like sun-protection gear, she asked doubtfully, "Zhao Rong, are you sure these are invisibility cloaks and not just for sun protection?"
Yu Lan thought they looked more like thin, skin-tight shirts. "Zhao Rong, I think you got scamd," she said. "These look exactly like so base-layer shirts I bought from an online marketplace before..."
Xuelian picked up one of the garnts and felt the material. "Zhao Rong," she said, "this fabric feels very ordinary. There's no apparent technology in it, and nothing suggests it can make you invisible..."
Before Xuelian could finish, Zhao Rong vanished. Seeing that he had disappeared into thin air, the three won and the assistant looked around frantically. "Zhao Rong, where did you go?" they shouted. "Even if they're not really invisibility cloaks, we won't bla you! Just co out!"
As the four of them were shouting, a voice ca from right in front of them. "I'm standing right here. Can't you see ?"
With that, Zhao Rong pulled down the top half of his Invisibility Cloak, revealing himself. Only when they saw he had disappeared because he was wearing the cloak did they finally understand that the clothes he'd bought really were Invisibility Cloaks.
And so, the three won picked up the remaining cloaks and put them on. "This thing may look ugly, and the fabric feels cheap," one of them remarked, "but it's actually pretty comfortable..."
The mont she finished speaking, all three of them vanished from each other's sight. Realizing they were now invisible, they all laughed with excitent. "This is amazing! The feeling of being invisible is so cool!"
The assistant put on the final cloak. Now that all five of them were wearing Invisibility Cloaks, they suddenly couldn't see one another.
When Lili realized she couldn't see the other four, she started to panic. "Zhao Rong," she said, her voice trembling slightly, "we were supposed to wear these to confuse the monsters, but now we've confused ourselves! Isn't this dangerous?"
Before Lili could finish, Zhao Rong took a set of glasses from his pocket. "Thankfully," he said, "the seller included a pair of anti-invisibility glasses for each of us."
He handed a pair of glasses to the four people standing invisibly before him. As soon as they put them on, they could see everyone else perfectly.
Lili exclaid in amazent, "This Invisibility Cloak is incredible, but these Anti-Invisibility Glasses are even more so!"
Zhao Rong smiled. "With these glasses, we can see and keep track of each other. That way, we can still work as a team in the woods and complete the mission."
Hearing this, the three won and the assistant all gave him a thumbs-up. "Big Bro, following you is the best! We get to eat and drink well and play with all this cool high-tech gear!"
Zhao Rong just smiled and led the assistant, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian toward the woods.
Wearing their Invisibility Cloaks and Anti-Invisibility Glasses, the five of them entered the woods. True to their purpose, the man-eating beasts within couldn't see them at all, allowing the group to walk boldly through the dangerous area.
Just then, a leopard appeared in front of them. Although it couldn't see them, it could definitely sll them. It pinpointed the scent of its prey just five ters away and prepared to pounce.
When Zhao Rong saw the leopard had located them by scent, he imdiately pulled the Scent Eliminator Liquid from his pocket. He held up five small, white bottles that looked like correction fluid. "I almost forgot," he said to the others. "Even with the Invisibility Cloaks, so animals have a sense of sll so keen they can still pinpoint our location. We need to use this stuff—Scent Eliminator Liquid—to get rid of our body odor. That way, creatures with sensitive noses won't find us."
As he spoke, Zhao Rong applied the Scent Eliminator Liquid to himself. Once his scent vanished, the leopard froze, stunned. It lifted its nose, sniffing the air again. I clearly slled one person just now, it thought. How did it suddenly beco the scent of only four?
While the leopard was still confused, the assistant applied the Scent Eliminator Liquid. Then Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian did the sa. However, the liquid couldn't cover up the strong fragrance of the won's perfu. When Zhao Rong noticed their scent hadn't disappeared, an idea struck him. "Hey," he asked them, "where do you normally spray your perfu?"
After a mont's thought, they answered, "Usually our armpits, the backs of our hands, and on our legs."
Hearing this, Zhao Rong grabbed a bottle of mineral water and poured the Scent Eliminator Liquid into it. He shook the bottle to mix the solution evenly. As he began to wash their armpits, the backs of their hands, and their legs, he explained, "Your perfu is too strong. This is the only way to get rid of the scent."
Once he was finished, the overpowering fragrance was completely gone.
At that mont, the leopard standing five ters away from them grew even more bewildered. What in the world? it thought, completely baffled. I clearly slled five living prey standing right in front of . How did they suddenly disappear, one by one?
The leopard shook its head, defeated, and trudged away.
Seeing the leopard leave, Zhao Rong breathed a sigh of relief. "Alright, we're not only invisible, but we've also erased our scent," he said. "Now we're one hundred percent safe in these woods." With that, he led everyone deeper into the woods to continue their search.
But the woods were vast, and finding the Rainy Night Killer's hideout was proving to be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Just as everyone was starting to feel discouraged, Zhao Rong rembered the Rainy Night Killer tracker that Xuelian had bought earlier. He turned to her and asked, "Xuelian, do you still have that tracker? Take it out and let's give it a try. Maybe we can find the assassin's location with it."
As she took the Rainy Night Killer tracker from her pocket, Xuelian explained, "Zhao Rong, this tracker has one major flaw. If the Rainy Night Killer is hiding underground, it won't be able to pick up his signal."
Zhao Rong thought for a mont, a glimr of hope in his eyes. "Maybe we'll get lucky. What if he cos out of his hideout right when we use it?"
With that, Xuelian handed the tracker to Zhao Rong, who imdiately began the search. As luck would have it, the Rainy Night Killer chose that exact mont to erge from his lair. The tracker in Zhao Rong's hand imdiately picked up his signal.
A red dot appeared on the device's map, moving about twenty ters directly ahead of them. Seeing the dot move, Zhao Rong whispered to the others, "Get ready. We're going to catch him in the net."
As he spoke, Zhao Rong pulled a large net from his pocket. The five of them each grabbed a corner and began to creep stealthily toward the red dot. As they drew closer, they saw him: a figure in a raincoat and mask, carrying a sickle and walking through the woods.
In a flash, Zhao Rong gave the order. "Go! Get him in the net!"
With that, he led the team as they rushed forward, spreading the net wide to trap their target.
