"So that’s how it is. How much do you know about the Dark Council?"
Ye Luo’s eyes looked at Ai Fei.
"I don’t know much about the Dark Council. This organization is said to gather all those who aspire to darkness, those who long for corruption. Everyone associated with the Dark Council views human lives as disposable, and they are known for being bloodthirsty, cruel, and evil."
"They are the darkest, the most rejected by society, a group of people in this world. As for the strongest within the Dark Council, it’s the Lord of Darkness, extrely mysterious, unseen by anyone, rumored to be an existence like a god hidden within darkness."
"The rest of the council is controlled by nine Dark Elders. It’s said that each of these nine has terrifying abilities, and More is the son of the Grand Elder. In the Dark Council, he holds a status similar to that of a Young Master."
"My father just wants to marry More and then, with the help of his father’s position within the Dark Council, to obtain the help of the Dark Council so that the Tulip Family can have a better developnt and not continue to decline."
Ai Fei explained each point.
"Isn’t it said that your Tulip Family is the most powerful and mysterious family in Country M? Do you still need the help of the Dark Council?"
A hint of confusion flashed in Ye Luo’s eyes.
"The strength of the Tulip Family was sothing of the past. Although we still seem powerful to outsiders, in reality, we have started to decline and have lost our forr strength. All because the heir of the Tulip Family has not been born for a very long ti."
Ai Fei sighed as she spoke.
"The heir?"
Ye Luo looked surprised.
"The reason why the Tulip Family is powerful is all because of our ancestor, King Arthur. Legend has it that King Arthur was the world’s strongest being, and it was his imnse strength that led to the formation of the Tulip Family."
"After King Arthur’s death, to ensure the continuous strength of the Tulip Family, he specially left behind a mystical sword that contained his legacy and power."
"Every generation in the Tulip Family would select a group of direct descendants to be chosen by the mystical sword. Once chosen, they would beco the new owner of the sword, receive the legacy, beco the heir, and control the sword’s strength."
"Possessing unrivaled power to protect the Tulip Family’s continued prosperity and strength. However, in my father’s generation, not a single person was recognized by the mystical sword."
"And in my generation, no one has been able to be acknowledged by the mystical sword, to receive its legacy and control its strength; as a result, the Tulip Family lost the assurance of its great power. Many powerful families in Country M have started to covet the Tulip Family, wanting to seize the opportunity to weaken our power, or even to swallow us up completely."
"That’s why my father wants to leverage the power of the Dark Council. With the support of such a vast organization, others naturally wouldn’t dare to target the Tulip Family."
Ai Fei explained.
After hearing Ai Fei’s words, Ye Luo sowhat understood.
"Ye Luo, what do we do now, how can we leave this place? And there are also those dozens of people from my team, you must think of a way to rescue them."
Shi Yanran looked at Ye Luo with a worried and anxious expression.
"Don’t worry, we will definitely be able to leave this place, and I will find a way to rescue those people from your team," Ye Luo said solemnly.
That night, all of Los Angeles was restless, with the Tulip Family, the Ability Alliance, and the Dark Council - three massive forces all searching for Ye Luo and the others. Fortunately, their hiding place was extrely secretive; otherwise, they might have been discovered right away.
The next day, the search did not stop, and it seed that the three forces were determined to turn Los Angeles upside down.
In Robert’s hospital room, More, dressed in a windcoat, with his pale skin white as snow, lipstick red as blood, emitting a strange aura, walked in.
"How are you doing? Are you alright?"
More ca to Robert’s side and spoke.
"Why have you co?"
Surprise flashed through Robert’s eyes as he looked at More.
"The guy who hurt you took my woman. I heard you tried to take his woman and got beaten, so I ca to see for myself."
More said indifferently.
"Your woman?"
"Ai Fei!"
"I never thought that even the son of a grand elder of the Dark Council could have his woman taken from him."
Robert cracked a pale smile.
"Don’t worry, you took his woman and got trashed; he took my woman, and I will make his life worse than death!"
A seductive smile curved More’s lips, and a cold light shone in his eyes.
"With no trace of them so far, how will you make his life worse than death?"
Robert sneered.
"As long as he is in Los Angeles, he can’t escape the palm of my hand," More said, his eyes full of confidence.
"I still have a card up my sleeve that can deal with them. We could work together, what do you say?"
Robert’s gaze was fixed on More.
"Oh? What card?"
Curiosity flickered in More’s eyes.
Imdiately, Robert began to explain, and the light in More’s eyes flickered.
"Not bad, that could work!"
More nodded.
"I want that kid to taste what it’s like to be crippled, to live a fate worse than death. That cheap woman, even if I can’t do that thing anymore, I’ll make her serve for life. I’ll torture her harshly!"
Robert’s face was dark and twisted, his eyes ferocious and filled with venomous hatred, looking almost deranged. Becoming completely crippled had driven him mad.
Los Angeles, Tulip Family.
Family Head Allock sat grim-faced, with a group of high-ranking mbers of the Tulip Family bowing their heads and bending their backs in silence before him.
"Damn it, are you all useless? Almost a day and a night have passed, yet you still haven’t found her. If you can’t find her, all of you can get out of the Tulip Family."
Allock roared angrily.
The high-ranking mbers were so frightened that they nodded repeatedly before rushing out.
At that mont, Allock’s biological son, the future heir to the Tulip Family, Allen, addressed his father, "Father, please calm down. With our family’s influence in Los Angeles, we will definitely find Ai Fei."
"Ah, if we can’t find Ai Fei, and can’t connect with the Dark Council, our Tulip Family will be in danger. Nowadays, all the major families know that the Tulip Family hasn’t produced an heir for two generations. They will surely seize this opportunity to strike at our family."
Allock let out a deep sigh.
"Father, I’m sorry, it’s my incompetence that the Stone Sword won’t recognize a master!" Allen said, feeling guilty.
"It’s not your fault; it’s just fate. So we must find Ai Fei."
"Father, I believe that Ai Fei will surely co back here."
Allen’s eyes narrowed, shimring with sharp glints.
