After spending another night in Zhonghai, Ye Luo took an early flight to the Capital City the next day, ready to et up with Ling Qingya.
anwhile, at the Wu Family residence in Jinling.
In the grand hall of the Wu Family, Wu Jianxiong, clad in a black outfit, bore a solemn expression, his hair graying and his face lined with wrinkles. He stood in silence, emanating an imnse sense of repression.
Just then, a middle-aged man hurried in, declaring excitedly, "Family Head, the Second Young Master has returned."
In an instant, Wu Jianxiong’s dull eyes lit up, a gleam of sharpness flashing through them.
"Father!"
At that mont, a figure strode into the hall. This man wore a white robe, his features resolute with a well-defined jawline. His aura, though restrained, was profoundly oppressive. Furthermore, he carried a longsword on his back and had long hair, resembling the attire of an ancient person.
"Yingtian, you’ve finally co back."
Looking at the man in his thirties before him, Wu Jianxiong’s aged eyes finally sparked with vitality.
"I’m sorry, Father, I’ve arrived late. I couldn’t be there for Big Brother’s last rites."
The man in the white robe showed a trace of remorse on his face. He was Wu Yingtian, the second son of Wu Jianxiong and the Wu Family’s second child. Having left the Wu Family over a decade ago, he rarely returned, resulting in few knowing of his existence.
"It doesn’t matter, as long as you’re back. With your brother gone, I have no one left by my side," Wu Jianxiong said with a desolate smile, looking very lonely and sorrowful.
Wu Yingtian’s eyes hardened, a cold light flashing in them, "Do we know who killed my brother?"
"Second Young Master, we have found the person, and yesterday they even dared to break into our Wu Family’s ancestral shrine and fought a great battle with our clan’s experts. Though the enemy is strong, we suffered the loss of hundreds of n without succeeding in capturing them," disclosed the middle-aged man without being asked.
"Killing my brother and daring to barge into the Wu Family premises, do they think my family is without its defenders?"
Wu Yingtian demanded coldly, his eyes shimring with a sharp and fierce light.
"Yingtian, it seems that only you can avenge your brother. The enemy is powerful; even our family’s Innate Late Stage Elder could not subdue them," Wu Jianxiong said gravely, his eyes cold and stern.
"Rest assured, Father. I was not there to bid Big Brother farewell, but I will avenge him. I will make sure everyone knows that the lives of the Wu Family are not to be taken lightly. Whoever it is, they must pay the price," Wu Yingtian snorted, releasing a terrifying aura that erupted montarily before vanishing just as quickly. However, both the middle-aged man and Wu Jianxiong felt an overwhelming mountainous presence that nearly left them on the verge of collapse.
Wu Jianxiong glanced at Wu Yingtian and said, "This young man is not simple. You need to be cautious, and he is also a mber of the Special Security Bureau’s Xuan Unit. If you’re going to take action, you absolutely must not draw the attention of the Special Security Bureau."
"Hmph, what of the Special Security Bureau? I am now a Core Disciple of the Heavenly Sword Pavilion; even the Special Security Bureau wouldn’t dare to touch ," Wu Yingtian scoffed with disdain, his eyes full of thick contempt.
On the airplane bound for Capital City, Ye Luo boarded the plane and imdiately started looking for his seat.
However, when Ye Luo took out his boarding pass to find his seat, he saw that soone was already sitting there.
A man in a suit, with a bulging belly and a greedy look, was seated in his spot, his lecherous gaze fixed on the figure seated to his right.
Following the man’s gaze, Ye Luo looked more closely and thought to himself, "Wow, what a beauty."
To the right of Ye Luo’s seat, near the cabin window, was a woman of stunning beauty, with hair cascading down like a waterfall over her shoulders, sporting a pair of sunglasses, and featuring the classic beauty of a delicate oval face.
Her skin was as white as jade, her nose was perky, and her moist red lips were slightly parted, giving off an irresistible urge to kiss, and she was wearing a white shirt paired with a black blazer.
Perhaps because her bust was so prominent, one of the buttons on the white shirt had co undone, leaving it slightly open and revealing a sexy clavicle with a hint of cleavage tantalizingly visible.
Below, she wore a black skirt paired with flesh-colored stockings, exuding an aura of nobility. Her professional attire made her look incredibly sexy.
With such a stunning beauty sitting there, it was no wonder the greedy-looking man was staring so intently; but that seat was mine, and it seed that Lady Luck was truly smiling on him.
"Hey, buddy, I think you’re in the wrong seat!"
Without any hesitation, Ye Luo directly addressed the man, who was nearly drooling.
"What?"
Caught off guard by Ye Luo’s shout, the man looked up and his eyes t with Ye Luo’s, while at the sa ti the dignified and cold lady with the sunglasses slightly turned her head and glanced at him.
"I said, sir, you’re sitting in the wrong seat; this one’s mine."
Ye Luo imdiately called out to the man’s ear, startling him.
"Stop shouting, are you sick or sothing?" snapped the man. He then glanced at the seat number on Ye Luo’s boarding pass and said, "I’ll give you ten thousand to swap seats with ."
"Is that right?" Ye Luo said, his face lit up with a greedy and excited expression.
The other man then showed a smug look, glancing at Ye Luo with a hint of disdain, his face bearing an air of superiority.
Qin Yuru, sitting beside the sunglasses, flashed a look of disappointnt through the lenses. Not even a minute after she sat down in her seat, the bloated, unsophisticated man had taken the seat beside her, eyeing her in a lecherous manner ever since.
She was extrely angry, cursing her luck for ending up next to such a person, only to find out that this wasn’t even his seat, but belonged to the fairly decent-looking young man in front of her, which improved her mood significantly.
After all, given the choice between the young man who seed decent and the disgusting guy next to her, she much preferred the young man to sit by her side.
But she hadn’t expected the man to offer ten thousand just to swap seats, and what’s more, the young man had actually agreed; this again soured Qin Yuru’s mood, and she looked at Ye Luo with a hint of contempt.
"Who would’ve thought a seat could be worth ten thousand," said Ye Luo with a gleam of excitent in his smile.
