The woman’s mouth revealed a cruel smile as she harshly kicked out, sending He Kun flying off the bed, crashing onto the floor. Just then, the door to the room opened, and a man walked in slowly, his entire body exuding an icy chill.
He Fang instantly jumped up, watching the man warily. His gaze then shifted to the woman as he said, "Who are you? Do you know who I am?"
The man approached He Fang and said, "Your father is He Fang, the head of the Earth Group of the Security Agency, right?"
"Knowing that and still daring to set up, speak, who exactly are you, and what do you want?" He Kun retorted coldly, still carrying himself with an air of arrogance.
"It seems you still haven’t grasped the severity of your situation," the man uttered icily, then suddenly moved and threw a punch.
He Kun had no chance to react, and his body was slamd to the floor. A pained expression crossed his face, and a few drops of blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. He looked up at the man, "What... what exactly do you want to do?"
By now, He Kun had realized that this man was no ordinary person, and that he had co specifically for him.
"Young Master He, we ca to see you this ti just to ask for your help with sothing," the man said lightly to He Kun.
"What matter?" He Kun’s eyes flickered.
"I heard that your Security Agency recently acquired a key from the ho of the chairman of the Ancient Artifacts Association, Mr. Qin. I want you to get it and hand it over to ."
"What? You? That’s impossible—I won’t do such a thing," He Kun exclaid in shock before insisting resolutely.
The man’s mouth curled into a sinister smile, and he imdiately took out a gray pill and threw it into He Kun’s mouth, then struck him on the chest, forcing him to swallow it.
"What did you give ?" He Kun’s face changed as he looked at the man.
"Nothing much, just a poison pill that can cause your entire body to rot from the inside out. Moreover, this poison is incurable by anyone, even the National Doctor of the Mu Family has no cure. Only the antidote in my possession can save you. The poison will take effect after three days, and then, you will experience a taste of life worse than death."
"You..." Hearing the man’s words, He Kun’s complexion turned ghostly pale. He hurriedly reached into his mouth, retching in an attempt to vomit out the poison pill, but it was impossible.
"Young Master He, you now have two choices: either help us get that key or be prepared to rot from the inside out. Of course, you can try to find soone to cure the poison, but then you can forget about ever receiving the antidote. If nobody else can cure you, then all you can do is wait to die," the man said coldly as he watched He Kun.
"That item belongs to the important assets of the Security Agency; I can’t access it," He Kun stated.
"Your father is a high-ranking official of the Security Agency; I believe you’ll find a way," the man countered.
After saying this, the man and the woman left the room, leaving He Kun sitting there, stunned and alone.

At the mont, Jiang Yulan was anxiously waiting outside. Nearly an hour had passed with no sound from within, which made her worry about Xiner’s condition. She wanted to go in to check but was afraid of disturbing Ye Luo.
Yet she felt an inherent trust in Ye Luo and wasn’t worried that he would do anything to her daughter. It was a natural feeling of trust towards the young man she t for the first ti, and she didn’t understand why.
And in the room, Ye Luo was still tightly embracing Shangguan Xiner. By then, all the Yin Qi from Shangguan Xiner’s body had entered Ye Luo’s.
