After devouring the flesh of their own companion, the remaining sharks did not leave but gathered together, eyeing Ye Luo and his partner ominously as if they were about to charge at them again.
Boom!
With another sword strike unleashed, terrifying sword light caused waves to surge, and the sharks were frightened into scattering in all directions.
"You truly are formidable," Mingyue said, her gaze following the sharks, the rulers of the sea, as they fled. She couldn’t help but speak out.
"Of course, you have not seen who I am," Ye Luo said with a smug expression.
"Let’s hurry, if we don’t leave now, we won’t catch up with that ship," Mingyue urged directly.
Ye Luo’s gaze swept across the water, and sure enough, the speed of that ship was increasing; if they did not leave now, they really might not be able to catch up.
Imdiately, Ye Luo stimulated the True Qi throughout his body, waving his hands continuously in the seawater, and the log they were sitting on dashed towards the ship ahead as if cutting through the waves with the wind.
In less than three minutes, under the influence of Ye Luo’s formidable strength, they finally approached the ship.
The ship was very large, several tis bigger than the freighter they had been on before, and it looked to be a private luxury yacht.
"Hey! Stop!"
Ye Luo shouted loudly at the yacht.
On the yacht, a young woman in a black evening dress, beautiful and exquisite with her hair pinned up high, sat on the deck, appearing to be around twenty-four or twenty-five, exuding a powerful aura.
She was sipping red wine, surrounded by n in black clad with sunglasses standing on the deck, and behind the young woman stood a middle-aged man in his forties with a solemn face and a cold expression.
"What’s that noise?"
The young woman’s brows furrowed slightly upon hearing Ye Luo’s shout, and with a light twist of her red lips, she said,
"Miss, there’s a man and a woman on a log at sea, it looks like they are calling us to stop the ship," a man in black reported respectfully as he stepped quickly to the young woman’s side.
"Oh, is that so, let them co aboard," the young woman said indifferently.
"Miss, it’s not advisable; the sudden appearance of this man and woman at sea is sowhat peculiar. Could there be trouble?" the middle-aged man standing behind the young woman said, his brows furrowing as he spoke gravely.
"Don’t worry, with all of you here, there won’t be any problems," the young woman said with a slight smile, shaking her head.
"Who are you?" At that mont, a man in black on the yacht spoke to Ye Luo and Mingyue below, but he spoke in the Island Country’s language.
"We’ve encountered a shipwreck and would like to use your ship to leave this place; may we co aboard?" Ye Luo replied in the Island Country’s language as well.
"Hey, with your strength, you could have just taken up there directly; why bother asking them to stop the ship to let us aboard?"
Sitting on the log, Mingyue looked at Ye Luo with a puzzled expression.
"How can you not have a clue? Everyone on this ship is no simple character, and just by listening to the language they’re speaking, you can tell they’re from the Island Country. If we just rush on board recklessly, it’s very likely we’ll provoke a conflict and cause unnecessary trouble. Once we get on, do as I say and don’t speak out of turn,"
Ye Luo said in a stern voice. He had already activated his Clairvoyant Eye to scan everyone on the ship; each person was highly skilled, obviously making the young lady’s identity far from ordinary. He did this simply to avoid unnecessary trouble.
Soon, the cruise liner stopped, and a ladder was lowered down. Ye Luo and Mingyue climbed directly up the ladder and onto the ship.
Under the guidance of a few n in black, Ye Luo and Mingyue arrived on the deck and saw the young lady.
"This is our young lady; she was the one who saved you," a man in black said to both Ye Luo, pointing at the young woman.
"Thank you, Miss, for your lifesaving grace," Ye Luo said to the young lady in Island Country’s language.
"Are you two from Huaxia?" the young lady asked directly in Huaxia’s language.
"So, Miss, you can speak Huaxia! Yes, we’re indeed from Huaxia. I’m surprised you guessed it right away—that’s impressive," Ye Luo said with a smile as he looked at the young lady.
"I’ve t many people from Huaxia before, so I can naturally tell. How did you two end up stranded at sea?" The young lady looked curiously at Ye Luo and his companion.
"My na is Ye Luo, and this is my girlfriend Mingyue. We were originally taking a cruise to the Island Country for a few days of vacation, but we encountered a storm midway and our ship capsized. We both fell into the sea, and it was lucky we t you, or we might have died in this boundless ocean," Ye Luo explained.
"I see, you’ve really been through an ordeal. By chance, my ship is also headed to the Island Country. We can take you along," the young woman said lightly.
"Thank you, Miss. May I ask for your esteed na?" Ye Luo asked with a look of joy.
"My na is Yamaguchi Momoe," the young woman stated indifferently.
Ye Luo had no particular reaction to this na, but Mingyue, upon hearing it, her pupils shrank, and a look of surprise crossed her face.
Later, Ye Luo and Mingyue were arranged to rest in a room on the cruise liner.
Inside the room, Mingyue said, "I can’t believe we actually t Yamaguchi Momoe."
"Do you know that beauty?" asked Ye Luo, sitting leisurely on the side, snacking on fruit.
"Before we ca, I researched most of the major powers in the Island Country. Yamaguchi Momoe is the young lady of the Yamaguchi Family, and the Yamaguchi Family is a very famous large clan in the Island Country, with a lofty status. But the most famous of all is the Yamaguchi Group."
"This group has a centuries-long history, with deep roots in the Island Country, and its businesses span the entire nation. It can be said that wherever there are people in the Island Country, there are businesses belonging to the Yamaguchi Group."
"Moreover, the Yamaguchi Group has branches in over sixty countries worldwide, with assets reaching a trillion. It’s one of the top ten ga-corporations globally, several tis more powerful than our Huaxia’s number one corporation, the Qin Group," Mingyue stated with conviction.
Ye Luo was equally surprised, saying, "The Yamaguchi Group is that powerful? A trillion in assets—that’s an unimaginable amount."
"Well, it’s enough to crush you," Mingyue quipped, looking at Ye Luo, "Seventy percent of the Island Country’s economy depends on the Yamaguchi Group. They are pretty much the economic lifeline of the entire Island Country."
"And in this generation, the Family Head of the Yamaguchi Family has only two daughters, Yamaguchi Momoe and Yamaguchi Yoshiya. Yamaguchi Momoe has been exceptionally intelligent since she was young, now serving as the overseer of the Yamaguchi Group’s overseas branches, controlling over sixty subsidiary companies around the world."
