Ye Luo left the hotel with Mingyue. They first purchased two cell phones, and then Mingyue began to contact the security bureau personnel from the Island Country.
At this ti, Yamaguchi Momoe had already returned to the Yamaguchi Family, within a sprawling luxurious manor.
This place was the ancestral land of the Yamaguchi Family, gathering both the direct and collateral blood relatives of the entire family. However, this generation’s direct descendants of the Yamaguchi Family consisted only of two won, Yamaguchi Momoe and her younger sister Yamaguchi Yoshiya.
Now the Family Head of the Yamaguchi Family, Yamaguchi Yufo, lay ill in bed, with both the Yamaguchi Family and the Yamaguchi Group being managed by the two sisters.
A luxurious Maybach slowly drove into the manor, and a man in a suit quickly stepped forward to open the door. The middle-aged man got out first, followed by Yamaguchi Momoe.
"Miss!"
Seeing Yamaguchi Momoe, everyone in the manor respectfully called out.
"Big Sister, you’re back!"
A familiar voice rang out as a young woman who bore a resemblance to Yamaguchi Momoe, yet appeared even more mature and alluring, approached wearing a sexy dress. Her whole presence seed to shine brightly, and she was none other than Yamaguchi Momoe’s sister, Yamaguchi Yoshiya.
"Sister, how is Father doing?" asked Yamaguchi Momoe, looking at her younger sibling.
"It’s the sa as before, none of the doctors have made a difference. Tomorrow, I plan to invite Master Rende to co and see Father," said Yamaguchi Yoshiya in a grave tone.
"Sister, you’ve worked hard taking care of Father these past days. Now that I am back, let handle these things. You should get so good rest," said Yamaguchi Momoe as she looked at Yamaguchi Yoshiya.
"Father raised us, doing a bit of this is nothing to complain about. But Sister, did anything happen to you on the way back? I’ve been really worried that sothing might have gone wrong," Yamaguchi Yoshiya said, gazing at Yamaguchi Momoe with a flicker in her eyes.
"It was alright, just encountered so minor problems, nothing serious," Yamaguchi Momoe replied calmly, while a cold look briefly passed through Yamaguchi Yoshiya’s eyes, disappearing as quickly as it appeared.
In a restaurant filled with the flavor of the Island Country, Ye Luo and Mingyue sat together eating the local cuisine.
"This is pretty unpleasant to eat. Looks like Huaxia’s food is much better," Ye Luo comnted, shaking his head as he looked at the Island Country food in front of him.
"Ye Luo, Mingyue!"
Just then, an excited voice sounded. The two looked over and saw Leng Ruobing in a white clothing, approaching swiftly, her face full of excitent.
"Group Leader Leng, it’s so good to see you’re all right. I was afraid you had run into trouble like us," Mingyue said to Leng Ruobing.
"After you fell into the sea, the ship ultimately made it through and arrived at the Island Country safely. I have been so worried about the two of you, thinking you might have really had an accident. Now I can finally breathe a sigh of relief," Leng Ruobing spoke, her gaze fixed on Ye Luo.
"By the way, how did you two manage to escape danger and make it to the Island Country?" Leng Ruobing asked, curiosity evident on her face.
"You tell it," Ye Luo said to Mingyue, who then recounted their ordeal on the deserted island and how they ended up taking Yamaguchi Momoe’s cruise to the Island Country.
Of course, they left out any ambiguous incidents that occurred between them.
After listening to Mingyue’s account, Leng Ruobing couldn’t help saying, "It seems you two are quite lucky to have encountered such an event. But I hadn’t expected that you would get to know Yamaguchi Momoe."
"Right, when do we start the operation?" Ye Luo suddenly asked.
"Not yet, we knew before that the Island Country governnt was researching biochemical weapons, but we still haven’t pinpointed the exact location of the biochemical weapon research base."
"We are still running checks on our end, and it might take another day or two to confirm. You guys rest for a couple of days. Since you’ve co all the way to the Island Country, you might as well relax a bit," Leng Ruobing said, looking at Ye Luo.
"Fair enough—it’s settled then. Do you know where the filming base for this Island Country action film is? I plan to take a look, and maybe even have the chance to make a cao as the male lead," Ye Luo joked.
"Pervert!" Mingyue instantly understood and her face flushed with embarrassnt as she glared at Ye Luo, clearly annoyed. Leng Ruobing, however, took a mont to catch on and didn’t grasp the aning behind Ye Luo’s words.
"You damn wench, how dare you soil my clothes!"
Suddenly, an angry scolding broke out. At a nearby table, a man with a goatee, dressed in a kimono, angrily cursed at a young woman in a waitress uniform.
"I’m sorry, I’m sorry, it was not intentional, I will clean it right away," the woman hurriedly said.
"You lowly Huaxia woman, lick it clean with your tongue," the man demanded, grabbing the woman’s hair and pressing her head down, an arrogant look on his face as the surrounding Islanders laughed wildly.
"No... please don’t..." the young woman shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Watanabe-kun, I apologize for the inconvenience, please forgive us," the restaurant manager hurried over and said to the man in the kimono, smiling apologetically.
"You are fired. Get out imdiately," the manager said coldly to the Huaxia waitress.
"Manager, it wasn’t on purpose."
"Get out now!"
"What about the salary for the past few months?"
Slap!
The manager struck the woman’s face with the back of his hand and said with disdain, "You offended our Watanabe-kun and still expect to be paid? Dream on. Get out now."
The young woman covered her face, tears flickering in her eyes, and left with a look of helpless indignation.
"This despicable guy!"
Witnessing the scene, Ye Luo’s eyes flashed with anger, and he was about to stand up but Leng Ruobing held him back.
"Calm down. Don’t just start a fight here and risk exposing yourself prematurely. It would be detrintal to our operation," Leng Ruobing said in a low voice, looking sternly at Ye Luo.
"Are our Huaxia people here to be bullied and humiliated like this?" Ye Luo said indignantly. Even though he wasn’t a hothead, seeing his countryn being publicly humiliated and bullied like this, he still found it hard to stomach.
"It’s quite normal. There’s a lot of hatred between Huaxia and the Island Country due to the war that took place decades ago. Even though peace is the norm today, a lot of Islanders still despise Huaxians," Leng Ruobing said indifferently.
"Just as we despise them. On the Island, their turf, naturally they can bully Huaxians at will. Such incidents are common in the Island Country. Although we’re unhappy, we can hardly manage to deal with all of them," Leng Ruobing continued.
