"Wife, you’ve returned."
Upon hearing Ye Luo’s words, Ling Qingya’s brows furrowed, and she said sternly, "Ye Luo, please rember, I am not your wife, and I have nothing to do with you."
"Qing Ya, what are you saying? You are engaged to Ye Luo, and it’s just a matter of getting married. You are nearly real husband and wife. What’s wrong with calling him husband?"
Suddenly, the old master of the Ling Family’s face darkened as he spoke out.
Ling Qingya’s brows were slightly knit together, while Ye Luo was secretly rejoicing.
"Alright, I won’t call you wife anymore. Can I call you Ya Ya then?"
Imdiately, Ling Qingya’s face darkened, and her cold eyes stared fiercely at Ye Luo.
"Alright, Qing Ya, Ye Luo has not co over often. It’s ti for dinner. Let’s go eat together in the dining room."
The old master of the Ling Family stood up and said.
"Yes, Grandfather." Ling Qingya didn’t protest but nodded, while her gaze toward Ye Luo was filled with indifference.
Inside the Ling Family dining room, at that mont, the old master was sitting at the head of the table with Ye Luo and Ling Qingya sitting directly on either side of him.
"Grandfather!"
At that mont, Ling Xiaofeng walked in, shooting a glance at Ye Luo.
"Where’s your dad? Has he co back?"
The old master of the Ling Family asked indifferently.
"He has already returned and will be here shortly." Ling Xiaofeng nodded.
"Dad!"
Suddenly, a figure walked into the dining room. Wearing a suit, with a square face and eyes that shone with astuteness, it was Ling Huatao, the current Chairman of Ling Corporation, the old master’s eldest son.
"Ye Luo!"
Ling Huatao, looking at Ye Luo next to the old master, frowned slightly as his face showed a trace of change.
"Co, take a seat, let’s eat together."
The old master of the Ling Family said calmly.
"Ye Luo, why are you here?"
Ling Huatao’s gaze shifted to Ye Luo as he couldn’t help but ask.
"Why, Uncle Ling, are you not welcoming ?" Ye Luo said with a hint of a smile.
"Of course not welco."
Ling Xiaofeng, sitting to the side and keeping his head down, muttered, while Ling Huatao, with a slight change in expression, smiled and said, "How could that be? I just haven’t seen you in a long ti, so I’m a bit surprised."
"Qing Ya, Huatao, I have sothing to tell you. I’ve decided to have Ye Luo work at Ling Corporation. When the ti cos, make arrangents for him, and directly give him a vice president’s position."
Upon hearing the old master’s words, the faces of Ling Qingya, Ling Huatao, and Ling Xiaofeng all changed.
"Grandfather, this..." Ling Qingya’s face darkened, and her eyes turned toward the old master.
"No need to say more. This is my decision. In the future, Ye Luo will stay and work at Ling Corporation. It’s perfect for you all to et more often, to communicate and deepen your affection. Soon, get married early and fulfill one of my wishes," the old master of the Ling Family said directly.
Ye Luo’s mouth revealed a slight smile as he said, "Grandfather, rest assured, I will definitely communicate my feelings well with Qing Ya and fulfill your wish."
"That’s good to hear. I’m still waiting to hold a grandchild, so as to give sothing interesting to do in this manor," the old master of the Ling Family laughed heartily.
"Grandpa, isn’t this a bit too much? This guy is completely useless, doesn’t know how to do anything, and yet he’s working at the corporation and even holds the position of vice president. Isn’t this just a waste of resources?"
Ling Xiaofeng spoke with dissatisfaction.
"This matter isn’t for you to comnt on. What if I let you go to work, would you be willing?"
The old Mr. Ling glared fiercely at Ling Xiaofeng and said, "You still have the nerve to criticize others, look at yourself, hanging out with your so-called friends all day long, doing nothing but eating, drinking, and playing. Is that proper behavior? You’re simply bringing sha to the Ling Family."
Although Ling Xiaofeng felt extrely displeased upon hearing the scolding from his grandfather, he dared not say anything. He could only look at Ye Luo with evil, fierce eyes. Clearly, he blad all of this on Ye Luo. If it weren’t for this guy, his car wouldn’t have broken down, and he wouldn’t have been reprimanded by his grandfather.
After finishing dinner, Ye Luo bid the old Mr. Ling farewell.
"Ye Luo, go report to Ling Corporation tomorrow."
"Okay, Grandpa. But I ca here by taxi before, and now going back will probably be...," Ye Luo hesitantly said to the old Mr. Ling.
"Oh, is that so? Do you know how to drive, Ye Luo?"
"Yes," Ye Luo nodded.
"Since that’s the case, go pick a car from the garage to drive back. It isn’t very convenient to go to work without a car."
"That’s not really necessary."
Ye Luo declined, his voice betraying a hint of reluctance but inwardly feeling delighted. Just by having dinner, he had managed to get a car; the old gentleman was really generous.
"No worries. We’re practically family now, and it’s just a car."
The old Mr. Ling smiled and didn’t seem to mind.
Soon after, Ye Luo went to the Ling Family garage to choose a car. Indeed, the Ling Family was truly a prominent clan with a multitude of luxury cars: rcedes-Benz, BMW, Jaguar, Bentley, they had them all.
Later, Ye Luo picked out a BMW and directly drove out of the Ling Family Manor.
From a distance, Ling Qingya quietly stood there, watching as Ye Luo drove the BMW out of the manor.
At that mont, Ling Huatao ca over, his gaze fixed on Ling Qingya as he spoke, "Qing Ya, what do you plan to do? I know you don’t want to be with him, but with the old man’s opinion..."
"No matter what, I will not agree to this marriage. As for him coming to work at the company, let him; I’ll take care of the arrangents. You don’t need to worry, Dad. Right now, what we need to focus on is the collaboration with the Mingzhu Group."
Ling Qingya’s voice was cold and detached.
In another villa, Ling Xiaofeng also had an angry expression, coldly spitting out, "Kid, just you wait, I’ll make you regret this, thinking of becoming my brother-in-law, keep dreaming, it won’t happen."
Darkness enveloped Zhonghai, in the five-star hotel suite where Che Taiming was staying.
At this mont, Che Taiming sat on the sofa with a solemn face, continually puffing on a cigarette.
Soon, a middle-aged man hurried over and said to Che Taiming, "Young master, everything has been arranged as per your instructions. The people from their organization will soon arrive in Zhonghai. I reckon that guy won’t last long."
"Quickly tell them that if they can take him alive, that would be best. I want to personally tornt that bastard to vent my anger," Che Taiming said, his face grim, his eyes emitting a chilling glint, and his body exuding a cold and sinister air.
Ye Luo returned to the villa and saw Luo Jingxuan looking at sothing.
"Back already? How did it go?"
"All went smoothly. I start work officially tomorrow, and I even scored a car in the process."
Ye Luo walked into the room with a smile, took a shower, and then promptly fell asleep.
As for Luo Jingxuan, her bright eyes flickered with a mysterious hue.
The next day, Ye Luo got up early and got ready.
After breakfast, Ye Luo directly drove the BMW to Ling Corporation.
