Now reading: Chapter 3 Magic and Planning from Percy Jackson and the Mystical Arts, a Action novel by AtanorWrites.

Upon that realizing the world he was in the first thing on his mind was a glaring red "DANGER" sign.

From what he knew of the books, now that Nick was aware of the obvious fact that he was a demigod child of Athena the Greek Goddess of Wisdom.

Monsters all around him would be drawn to his scent not to ntion that World War 2 now being practically forced on his head due to the fact that the war was essentially not a mortal war but a battle between demigods i.e. the sons of Zeus and Poseidon against the son of Hades.

It was also heavily implied in the books that World War 2 was essentially the war that would determine the next location of the Center of the West and by doing so determine the location of where Olympus would move to.

Given that Arica won the war, it was given that the Olympus would relocate there. Also seeing as that Athena rarely does sothing without strategy, his birth itself being of a professor in Arica.

It could be seen as Athena's opinion on who would win the war either the British seeing as his father's family was a British noble one or the Aricans seeing as he was currently living there.

However all of that was overshadowed.

"For the first ti in my life, I wasn't powerless. I wasn't just another worker crushed by people above . Here, strength ant survival. Here, I could climb.

I can feel sothing inside — divine blood, maybe — burning like it's waiting to wake up. I don't just want to survive this world. I want to learn, fight, grow, and take control in a way I never could before.

In my old life, I was replaceable.

In this one, I'm going to beco untouchable."

Now, that fact left him with two possible options

Option one was tracking down camp Half-Blood where he would be surrounded with other demigods, which would an strength in numbers at least and also protection from the Gods.

However, that was made significantly less appealing by the alarming tendency the Gods had for using their children as unpaid rcenaries to do all of their seemingly endless dirty work.

Especially now that World War 2 was on the horizon.

The ultimate pissing contest between the 3 most powerful Gods of the Greek Pantheon that led to a devastation of lives so great that it caused even the most selfish beings in the universe to self-reflect and ultimately led to them making the oath not to have any more children, no matter how briefly.

Oh, and also the real possibility that the camp now housed the future leaders of the Second World War.

He had no interest in making their acquaintance specifically Hades damned Hitler.

The other option would be staying where he was, and considering his prescience ability would allow him to avoid any danger in advance, he was leaning towards this, it had the added bonus of avoiding the gods sight for a significant amount of ti, enough ti for to get so skills to protect myself.

"Second option it is!" Nick thought he imdiately started planning on how to empower himself. His first thought was magic, which in the west was governed by Hecate the Three Faced Goddess of Magic and the Moon.

This could also explain why every ti he asked why monsters couldn't be seen his ability would give him images related to her.

In his previous life he was always drawn to Magic and while he was reading the Percy Jackson books he would always scoff at the protagonists and their apparent complete inability to think things through and rely on their gifts and physical might alone.

The implications of the Greek Gods being real were staggering and yet not once throughout the books would they ever think of the implications of that being the case.

Even when they t the Roman Gods they cared very little for the larger implications on the world as a whole which would have allowed them to reach greater strength and get so agency in a world that was quite obviously dead set on ridding them of their heads.

Magic being one of the primordial forces that allowed Gods like Odin to rule an entire pantheon of Deities, and yet being left completely unexplored was an insult that he would not let stand.

Luckily, he was in the perfect position to do so.

He would never be like Percy, a glorified errand boy for the Gods and even when they do offer an olive branch, allowing him to save himself from the grisly fate that was being a demigod, he refused in so stupid attempt at romance, while being 18 years old!

No wonder Annabeth calls him Seaweed Brain.

Nick's father was a scholar of ancient religions, so he had authentic texts describing the rituals and magics that the ancient Greeks used in the past and given his prescience ability and upgraded brain he could morize all of that information very quickly.

~Three days later~

After a few days of using his prescience to discreetly draw information from the many, many books his father had on Magical practices surrounding Ancient Greek society he found out that the majority of their magic worked around calling upon the powers of Gods and Goddesses in their spells.

What he found in their commonality is that if you want to use a spell 4 different things are the most important. Ti, Items, Place and Incantation, were the four pillars around which their magic was built.

One such ritual was the healing ritual calling upon the power of the Sun God Apollo, where they would use water found in a mountain spring, and then when the sun was at the highest point in the sky they would sacrifice animals in honor of Apollo while also using chants to beseech him to bestow the water healing powers.

Then the person would drink the water and would hopefully be healed.

Now that particular ritual was a bit too intricate to try now as he couldn't exactly go to his father and say, "Geez dad how about you get a goat so I can kill it to honor the Greek God Apollo?".

Well, he probably could, considering that his dad was probably aware of the divine considering how he looked at Nick and that he obviously had so interaction with Athena.

After all Athena's children are born only out of deep intellectual interaction between Athena and the mortal parent.

However, he wanted his first ritual to be sothing easy and inconspicuous.

Preferably he wanted the ritual to be to his mother Athena as anything else would obviously risk attracting another God's attention. Also the effectiveness would surely be way more effective than appealing to any other God.
