The first thing Shen Junjie did after returning to Yanhuang Soul was to report this mission to Fan Lingtian.

The four brothers and Bing all ca into the room together, but Shen Zuimo was nowhere to be seen, prompting Fan Lingtian to ask.
"Elder Fan, Zuimo... I reckon it might take her a while to co back." Shen Junjie said helplessly.

"Yeah. As you know, for nearly a year, Zuimo had been waiting for news about Xiaofan. Many of us believed his chances of surviving were slim, but Zuimo always believed he would return. The others responded in unison, but Shen Junjie hesitated to leave, as if sothing was still unclear to him.

Actually, this had sothing to do with Shen Junjie's bit of pride. After all, he was a few years older than Xiaofan and had been part of Yanhuang Soul for longer.
But these were just accumulations of experience, and Xiaofan's ability to masterfully control the big picture wasn't sothing everyone could achieve.
For instance, everything he's been doing has a reason, but Shen Junjie couldn't figure out why he's doing what he does.

Intercepting the assassination order across nations ant Huaxia required United Nations' consent, extensive waiting, voting, and tailored protocols and regulations. Reaching a consensus would take a month, and imdiately putting it into action would be even more challenging. The reason Xiaofan didn't return to leverage Yanhuang Soul's power was because he didn't want to put Huaxia's Yanhuang Soul in a difficult position.
