The so-called stir-fried beef ho fun is actually just the fried rice noodles we often eat at night markets. Of course, for it to be listed as one of the Manchu–Han Imperial Feast dishes, it really is delicious. Naturally, the chef's skill matters too.
Aili, starving and tasting such delicious food for the first ti, completely lost all her rich-girl airs.
It was her first ti using chopsticks, and no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't pick anything up. Overwheld by the tempting aroma, she finally couldn't resist and grabbed a few strands of noodles with her hand and stuffed them into her mouth.
Her little mouth smacked away as she ate happily, and she even rembered to pop those tender, smooth fingers into her mouth for a quick suck.
Right now Aili actually looked rather playful and cute.
But after a few bites, Aili stubbornly insisted on using chopsticks again. Even though she carefully watched how Xiaofan used them, once they were in her hands, that pair of chopsticks felt like they weighed ten kilos.
"Pfft…" Watching this, Xiaofan couldn't help bursting into laughter.
"What are you laughing at? This stuff tastes really good." Faced with Xiaofan's teasing, Aili didn't seem to care much.
Seeing Aili still scooping up the ho fun with her hand, it really didn't match her glamorous outfit at all.
"Just ask the waiter to bring you a fork." Xiaofan shook his head with a smile.
"I don't want it. I want to use… uh, what's this called again?"
"Chopsticks."
"Right, I want to use chopsticks."
"That's not how you use chopsticks."
"Then hurry up and teach …"
"I…" Xiaofan was speechless. What the hell was this? He'd planned to just have a proper al, say what needed to be said, and go back. And now he had to teach her how to use chopsticks?
There was no helping it. She was looking at him with those pitiful pleading eyes; he couldn't very well refuse such a small request, so he could only teach her hand in hand.
"Like this, curl your middle finger in the middle, relax, your fingers are too stiff. You need strength, but just a light squeeze and you can pick up whatever you want."
Her hand was just as soft and boneless as it looked, slender and fair.
With Xiaofan right beside her, holding her small hand, a faint joy spread across her pretty face.
"Hey, no, that's not it, that's not right."
"Then how is it?"
"Again, again."
Aili chuckled mischievously in her heart, but from another angle it also showed that Black Mantis really was a very serious man. Even with such a trivial matter, he still wanted to do it perfectly.
"Hey, why are you so stupid, so many tis and you still can't get it?"
"Mm, I am pretty stupid." Aili smiled sweetly, though she'd been calculating sothing in her heart the whole ti.
In fact, with this hand-in-hand teaching, their bodies were already pressed completely together. Xiaofan hadn't reacted at first, but once he noticed sothing off in Aili's expression, he imdiately understood.
He stood up and sat back down in his own seat. Only, when he stood up, his gaze lingered for a brief mont on Aili's chest.
"What's wrong?" Seeing Xiaofan return to his seat, Aili asked, a little disappointed.
"You're not really trying to learn. No matter how I teach you, it's pointless."
"I am too…" Aili hurriedly denied it.
"Hurry up and eat. If you can't manage, just switch to a fork."
"Teach one more ti…"
"…"
"Last ti?"
"Hurry up and eat, it's getting late. Once we're done, we should head back."
"Hmph, you really don't know how to read the mood."
Seeing that Xiaofan wouldn't take the bait anymore, Aili, helpless, could only puff out her cheeks in annoyance, pout her adorable little lips, grab the chopsticks and clamp the ho fun.
And what do you know—she actually succeeded on the first try, which totally exceeded Xiaofan's expectations. It proved Aili had been pretending she couldn't learn just now, but at the start she really hadn't known how. Now, though, she was gradually getting the hang of it, and more and more steadily bringing the noodles to her mouth.
She really does pick things up pretty fast…
"Well? Impressive, right? And you called stupid…" Aili picked up so ho fun and gave Xiaofan a triumphant smile.
"A fork works just fine. Why insist on learning chopsticks?"
"It's different. If I ever get the chance to go to Huaxia in the future, they definitely all use chopsticks there. I need to prep in advance."
Hearing this, Xiaofan was slightly taken aback…
Aili's words were clearly hinting at her desire to go to Huaxia. She didn't even care about what she'd just said—she… was serious.
"Aili, you really don't need to…"
"Eat, eat. Once we're done, I'll take you out for a couple of drinks."
Aili was indeed very smart. She knew Xiaofan was about to say sothing she didn't want to hear, so she imdiately changed the subject.
"Let's just go back after we eat. It's late, and who knows if there are still a couple of diehard Cross Society mbers lurking around. If we run into them, sothing could happen."
"Hey, I already picked a Chinese place just for you. Can't you at least spend a bit more ti with ?"
"It's really late."
"I'm your fiancée."
"That's only because of the agreent."
"You're going back in a couple of days. You're not even willing to give this little bit of ti?"
Aili completely ignored Xiaofan's answer and just kept piling up reasons of her own.
This was, quintessentially, a woman.
With no other choice, after paying the bill, Xiaofan could only follow Aili as she drove her sports car along the bustling streets.
Before long, the car stopped in front of a bar.
Unlike many bars in Huaxia, this bar had a very small entrance, and several people were posted outside. If a stranger wanted to go in, they had to be brought by soone familiar with the place.
However, the mont they saw Aili's car, those people imdiately jogged over to open the door for her, then very respectfully invited her into the bar.
Once inside, the flashing lights were almost dizzying, and the pounding DJ music was deafening.
Here, whether black or white, man or woman, everyone was going wild on the dance floor, twisting their bodies and venting the day's work stress to the fullest.
In such an open country, you could see couples kissing wildly anywhere. In private rooms, secluded corners, even in restrooms, plenty of n and won would peel off each other's clothes and, riding that cheerful atmosphere, spend a lustful, passionate ti together.
"Well? Nice place, right?"
The passageway happened to be right by the dance floor, and it was crowded with people. Aili held onto Xiaofan as she squeezed deeper inside.
"Do you co to places like this a lot?" Xiaofan didn't find this kind of debauchery very appealing. If it was an occasional visit to blow off so steam from life's pressures, that was one thing; but if you were here every day, you really were half a write-off.
