This was a turning point in Xiaofan's mind. He knew this wasn't right, but Brother Xiong saw him as a brother, so he couldn't just let him be investigated without knowing. Besides, this whole thing was too suspicious. Did that so-called cop really explain everything clearly?
"Hey, Brother Xiong, is Brother Fei upstairs? Yeah, okay, I have sothing to tell you now. You need to play a scene with Brother Fei and a couple of trusted brothers. It's not too complicated, just repeat what was said before verbatim. Yeah, first have the brothers on the fourth floor leave for a bit. I'll bring this cop up, and then find a chance to let her eavesdrop. Okay, I'll tell you more over the phone later. Alright, that's it for now."
After briefing Ouyang Xiong, Xiaofan returned downstairs after about three minutes. He had to wait three minutes because he needed Ouyang Xiong to instruct the brothers to co down, so Lin Miaoke would have the chance to eavesdrop.
"How is it?" Lin Miaoke asked anxiously when she saw Xiaofan coming down.
"There are not many people on the fourth floor, the boss and a few brothers are inside discussing matters. Co on, I'll take you upstairs now."
Lin Miaoke was completely unaware that she had already stepped into Xiaofan's plan. After following Xiaofan into the elevator, they went straight up to the fourth floor.
"Look, it's the door to that room. The soundproofing is excellent; you have to listen carefully," Xiaofan whispered, pointing to the room where Ouyang Xiong and others were.
"Okay, thank you. You should go downstairs now, don't get yourself into trouble," Lin Miaoke was still concerned about Xiaofan's safety. Because she knew that people in their line of work hated traitors the most, getting caught could an losing limbs, at the very least, getting beaten up until you can't leave the hospital for weeks.

When Xiaofan reached a corner, he quickly picked up his phone and dialed Ouyang Xiong.

"Okay, Xiaofan, don't hang up. If we say sothing wrong, you have to remind ," Ouyang Xiong, although unsure of what Xiaofan was up to, had no doubts about him. When dealing with the police, one had to be very cautious. Besides, the topics they discussed had no real harm to themselves.
And Lin Miaoke continued listening intently. Indeed, the soundproofing was too good; she couldn't hear anything at all.
"Brother Xiong, a bit louder," Xiaofan suggested.

The tone sounded angry, but everyone in the room was drinking and reclined comfortably, getting happier with each shout.
"But Brother Xiong, this isn't really our problem," another brother chid in.
"How can we not do anything? Every few days, that bastard's people are caught putting stuff in my place. If it weren't for so many bosses backing Lei Hu, I would've dealt with him already."

Xiaofan's reason for having Ouyang Xiong put on this act was simple. It was to subtly inform Lin Miaoke that neither the Star Moon Bar nor Brother Xiong's territories dealt with such dirty substances. Moreover, it cleverly shifted Lin Miaoke's focus to Lei Hu. It was indeed a win-win.
"That's enough, Brother Xiong. I'm sure that cop has heard enough. Have a brother co out, and make sure they speak loudly so the cop can hear."
"Fei, you go..." Ouyang Xiong gestured.
Fei nodded, then coughed, "Oh man, what's all this talk for? We haven't done anything; if the cops want to check, let them. I'm thirsty; I'm going downstairs to get so drinks."
Fei intentionally said this loud enough for Lin Miaoke outside to hear. However, Lin Miaoke was still contemplating the information she heard, considering her next move. It wasn't until Fei approached the door that she snapped back to reality.
Presently, Lin Miaoke prepared to leave. anwhile, Xiaofan, hiding on the side and watching, was inwardly anxious. Damn, this silly woman, I already said soone was coming out to get drinks, yet you're still standing there.
'Creak.' The door opened.
Lin Miaoke was almost caught red-handed by Fei. However, Fei himself didn't react to the situation. What was he supposed to do now, staring at Lin Miaoke with wide eyes, thinking that this differed from the script Xiaofan ntioned. Didn't Xiaofan say the cop should've left by then?
"Who, who are you? Why, why are you on the fourth floor?" At this point, the lines were improvised, and Fei started to stutter.
"I, um, I..." Lin Miaoke was flustered too. Eavesdropping was inherently disgraceful, and she was a cop. Moreover, from the conversation, the other side seed innocent, so should she reveal her identity? Or co up with an excuse?
"Oh dear, finally found you."
While Lin Miaoke and Fei were at a loss for words, Xiaofan tily ran out from the corner, imdiately wrapping an arm around Lin Miaoke's slender waist.
"What are you doing?" Lin Miaoke looked at Xiaofan in panic.
"Sweetheart, I know my mistake. I won't talk to those won again, alright? I promise that from now on, my heart is only good for you. Please forgive ," Xiaofan said nonsensical words while signaling with his eyes for Lin Miaoke to play along.
Clued in a bit late, Lin Miaoke suddenly understood.
"Hmph, you n and your lies, who would ever believe you?" The coquettish voice changed too quickly. That gentle voice almost made Xiaofan beside her go weak.
Oh boy, apart from the sternness of a cop, this woman could actually exude such a charming side.
"Oh, you see, the fourth floor isn't a place just anyone can access. Brother Fei, sorry, this woman is throwing a tantrum; please bear with it," Xiaofan noted that Lin Miaoke didn't push him away, realizing she understood, then he winked at Fei.
"Okay, this won't happen again. But when did you get this girlfriend? Should've introduced her to the bros; she's pretty," Fei, seemingly enjoying the act, continued speaking while mischievously eyeing Lin Miaoke.
"Hey, thanks for your understanding, Brother Fei. We'll be heading down now. Let's go," Xiaofan concluded.
With that, Xiaofan escorted Lin Miaoke downstairs with seeming legitimacy. The whole process made Lin Miaoke's heart race. Only downstairs did she exhale deeply, forgetting that her petite waist had been held tightly by the boy beside her.
