"Investigate what?"
"Well, didn't you ask to look into Fujiwara Reiko and Zhang Yu's background?"
"That fast?" Xiaofan asked in mild surprise.

"Zhang Yu joined the company just before going to the previous place, but his relationship with Fujiwara Reiko is quite unusual."

"According to what I've found, last year after Fujiwara Reiko made a mark in Huaxia, Zhang Yu ca along with her. He's been working in the finance departnt since then. The truth lay before him, but how should he proceed? If he directly told Xiao Lei about it, and she didn't believe it, he could show her the evidence; however, if she did believe it, how could he comfort her?
Everyone could see how much Xiao Lei had put into her relationship with Zhang Yu. Of course, love is selfless, expecting nothing in return, but Xiao Lei had high hopes for Zhang Yu. If hope were shattered in an instant, and everything before turned out to be false, then... how deeply would her soul be wounded?
The next morning, Xiaofan signed Zhang Yu's appointnt letter, approving his position as finance supervisor.
Xiaofan had also seen in the employee records that Fujiwara Reiko and Zhang Yu both ddled in planning departnt projects multiple tis and even got involved in the sales departnt.
Since completing a task brought commissions, and the company's previous president didn't prohibit such behavior, it was seen as hard work.
But in that case, Zhang Yu should already be earning quite a bit. Why does he still keep asking Xiao Lei for those tens of thousands?
"Hey, Zhang Yu, when are you finally going to break up with your girlfriend?"

"Baby, you're overthinking. Why would I care about those things? You're the only one in my heart, truly. Just give a bit more ti, let keep getting money from her, then I'll find an excuse to dump her. Would that be okay?" Zhang Yu continued to placate.
