In the morning, the White Gale Pavilion welcod a small entourage of the Song Clan. It consisted of many Rhyshadiums, carriages that could buy cities, and many soldiers carrying the symbol of the Song Clan. All of them were enough to bring utter devastation to even many sects.

It wasn’t just for protection, but also as a show of power. It was the first ti their Son-in-law was going to their ho, after all.

Ye Jun honestly expected a grand departure because of it, but Han Zixuan had other plans. He knew they wouldn’t want it, so only a few people ca to see them off.

"I was actually thinking of sending you ho," Han Yuexin said, crossing her arms over her chest. "But you insist on such a grand display."

"Thanks, but there’s really no need," Ye Jun smiled at her and replied. "I’m already very thankful for everything you did for us. Thank you."

"He’s right," Song Liangxue ca forward and gave a short bow. "You have our gratitude for his Ascension and my breakthrough. The North will rember it."

"We’re happy to help," Han Zixuan smiled politely and said. "And I also won’t be so formal as to not accept it. My status doesn’t allow that."

Song Liangxue nodded at him and then turned around to look at their entourage. Ye Jun still couldn’t understand how they actually ca so high up the Sect’s peak considering it looked like a land entourage, but he didn’t question it.

Along with Song Liangxue and ihui, who had already disguised herself as Rong Hua, he boarded the carriage after bidding farewell to Han Yuexin. Apart from his friends, she was probably the only one he got close to, so he felt a bit reluctant in leaving her.

Once they were inside, he closed the door and made himself comfortable. Knowing that the carriage blocked all sound from the inside from reaching the outside, he relaxed and said, "I’ll miss this."

"Didn’t expect you to get attached to the sect," ihui said. "I an, you aren’t even close to the disciples here."

"Yes, but it’s still special to ," Ye Jun smiled, rembering his past life.

He had never gone to school or college, never enjoyed his ti with fellow classmates, so this was the first ti he experienced sothing close to it, so it wasn’t surprising he got a bit attached to it.

"Oh yeah, I’m still confused why you insisted on going with this?" Ye Jun asked, still confused. "Wouldn’t her Falcon be faster?"

Song Liangxue put her chin on her arm and said, "Rhyshadiums are faster than that Falcon, dear. It wouldn’t take long for us to reach my ho."

"Really?" Ye Jun asked. "Do they have a special connection with the Dao of Space or sothing?"

"Don’t overthink it," she smiled. "Just enjoy the ride. The carriage is specially built to match their speed and abilities, so we wouldn’t experience any anomalies either. Our journey will be smooth sailing."

"Don’t jinx it," ihui glared at her. "I am already worried about them seeing through my disguise. What if they decide to hand over to my clan? I don’t want to go back."

She paused for a mont before adding, "Not after finally finding my love."

"You’re so sweet," Song Liangxue pinched her cheeks, only for her to swat her hands away. "But there’s nothing to worry about. My family is very kind and loyal. Maybe that’s why they couldn’t survive the Imperial City."

"I’ll trust your words."

"But she has a point," Ye Jun said, leaning backwards. "Don’t jinx it. Soone attempted an assassination attempt on recently, so it can happen again."

The carriage turned silent as both won froze and stared deeply at him. Then, their eyes narrowed, making him flinch, "What? Why are you looking at like that?"

"Such a thing happened and you didn’t bother telling us?" Song Liangxue asked, her voice losing its warmth. "What if soone tried to kill and I didn’t tell you?"

"She’s right." ihui nodded. "Why didn’t you tell us?"

Ye Jun opened his mouth to say sothing, but no explanation ca to his mind. Or rather, he already knew the reason, so he couldn’t make any excuses.

All his life, he had faced so many assassination attempts that he stopped thinking much of them. And since there was no one who cared about him, he didn’t have the habit of sharing that stuff with others too. So it had totally skipped his mind to tell them.

He scratched his head and said, "I’m sorry. It’s just that I don’t have the habit of telling my problems to others. But it won’t happen again. I promise."

Hearing his words, their expressions softened as ihui dropped the disguise and took his hand, "We understand, but you also have to understand that we’re in a relationship now. We’re family, and it can’t work if we’re not honest with each other and keep big secrets."

"Trust is necessary in a relationship," Song Liangxue took his other hand in her hand and continued. "My mother says that, and I wholeheartedly agree. Trust is also a two-way street. If I’m giving it to you, then I also expect the sa."

Ye Jun smiled and kissed their soft hands, "It won’t happen again."

"Good, so what happened?"

Ye Jun shared the details with them. It didn’t take long since there wasn’t much to tell. By the ti he finished, the two of them fell into contemplation. To his amusent, they arrived at the sa conclusion as him even before he told them about Feng Hui’s death.

"If it happened after Ascension, we can bla it on that," Song Liangxue said. "After all, people want you dead because of your potential, and this is the perfect ti. Once you reach the Song Clan, it’ll be nigh impossible to do that."

"Wait! That’s why this whole entourage?"

She nodded, "Yes. We can’t take risks. There’s no way we can reach there in full concealnt, so it’s better to have as much protection as possible."

Ye Jun couldn’t argue against that logic. He was also impressed by how fast and how far ahead she planned.

ihui ignored them and mumbled to herself, "It can’t be because of ."

She finally turned her attention to them and explained her reasoning, "Monarch Clans don’t need these cheap tricks. If they wanted him dead, there’s nothing stopping them. And there’s no way they are letting stay either. So we can rule out that possibility."

"I don’t think I’ve made any big enemies..." Ye Jun paused, realizing sothing. "I an I did. The Lord is definitely a very powerful being, so maybe he did it."

"Lord?" Song Liangxue blinked in confusion.

"Ah! I haven’t told you about that either...."

After hearing everything about his adventures, ihui pulled his ears, "How many more secrets are you hiding from us? So many dangerous things happened and you didn’t tell us anything."

"Well, we can’t entirely bla him," Song Liangxue sighed. "I was in seclusion while you...were busy being in denial."

"Do you have to word it like that?" ihui grumbled, sitting back down.

"We can just call her a tsundere."

ihui had a bad feeling about it, but she still asked him, "What’s that?"

A grin ford on Ye Jun’s lips as he said, "That isn’t important right now, is it? Just know that you’re a tsundere. It’s a complint, actually."

ihui pouted but didn’t continue as he was right. There were important things to discuss, and she would rather do that than get teased by this hooligan.

"So, any guesses on this Lord?" He asked. "It’s definitely a matter of the higher realms and I have no clue about them. The Sect also remained mostly silent on it."

ihui’s expression turned serious as she nodded, "That does sound like sothing only a Ruler Realm powerhouse can do. Even Sky Realm Cultivators won’t have such a powerful influence on the Spiritual Realm."

"Damn it! So I really did offend another powerhouse."

"There’s no need to worry for now," Song Liangxue said, tapping her fingers against his hand. "He is likely a sealed being trying to regain his powers through sacrifices. Still, that’s just a hypothesis. There could be a thousand other reasons and we can’t be sure of any."

She leaned back slightly and added, "But I’m guessing my clan already knows about it, and they certainly won’t let this dangerous entity roam free in the North. That’s not how we do things."

"But it is entirely possible that he sent his thralls after him," ihui said. "He did ruin his plans, after all. If the Lord is vengeful, then he’ll surely co after him."

"True." Song Liangxue nodded in agreent. "I still find sothing weird though. Why did he not try to make him His thrall? Nothing would have happened if he did just that."

"About that," Ye Jun interrupted them. "I think it’s because of my special nature. We’re still unclear about it, right? It’s practically unknown but I did feel its presence during Ascension, sothing very massive and dense. Maybe it’s because of that."

This ti, both of them pulled his cheeks.
