Just as the shareholders were spitting venom, Qin Yu’s cell phone rang. Mo Yuqi’s eyes lit up — she knew that soone from magic company had arrived!
The ringtone of Qin Yu’s phone was so piercing amidst the directors’ clamor; all eyes turned to Qin Yu, and only then did they realize, when had a stranger joined the boardroom?
"Mr. Mo, could you explain this? Are drivers and bodyguards also allowed to attend the board eting now?"
Yang Hong directly categorized Qin Yu as a driver and bodyguard.
"Mr. Yang, this is Qin Yu, Director Qin. He is not a driver or bodyguard," Mo Yuqi’s tone was very calm.
"Director Qin? Since when?" Yang Hong let out a cold huff.
"I transferred five percent of my shares to Director Qin. There’s no doubt that Director Qin is a shareholder of Emperor Group."
Mo Yuqi’s words rendered Yang Hong speechless. Five percent? With five percent of the shares, this Mr. Qin would be among the upper-middle ranks of shareholders!
Yang Hong could only snort coldly and turn his head away.
"Director Qin, even if you truly are a director of Emperor Group, you should be mindful of the setting. Look around you; every single one of us has set our phones to silent mode!
How can you be so unaware? Please hang up the phone imdiately!"
Huang Dong looked coldly at Qin Yu.
"Alright, since Director Huang has asked to hang up, I will hang up," Qin Yu said decisively, then hung up the phone and looked at Huang Dong with a mocking gaze.
"But," he cautioned, "you’ll have to bear the consequences of hanging up the phone, Director Huang."
"Consequences? Haha... If there really are any, I’m not opposed to taking responsibility," Huang Dong scoffed, amused by a youngster’s antics. What consequences could a phone call possibly bring?
The corners of Mo Yuqi’s mouth turned up slightly as she asked gravely, "Director Qin, whose call was that just now? Was it Mr. Gablant?"
"Yes," Qin Yu nodded.
"Mr. Mo, the Mr. Gablant you’re talking about is?" Arhat’s eyes shone with suppressed excitent as he looked inquisitively at Mo Yuqi.
"Cody Gablant, chairman of the magic electronic company," Mo Yuqi said, her voice neutral.
"Hahaha! That’s hilarious! I admit, the chairman of magic electronic company is indeed Mr. Gablant.
But Mr. Mo, don’t insult our intelligence, and don’t put on a show with Mr. Qin! Do you think all of us shareholders are fools?"
Yang Hong let out another cold snicker.
"Exactly, unless Mr. Gablant has lost his mind! No one would accept a thirty billion buyout!"
"Moreover, thirty billion in Dragon Country Currency! Even if Mr. Gablant was out of his mind, the board of magic electronic company would never approve such a resolution!"
No sooner had the words left his mouth than the conference room door creaked open. A high-level assistant of Mo Yuqi, her face flushed with excitent, strode in.
"Jiang Shan, who gave you the nerve to barge into the conference room? Don’t you know we’re having a board eting?" Yang Hong rebuked sharply.
"Mr. Mo, please manage your people. For soone this undisciplined, I suggest you fire her promptly!" Huang Dong huffed coldly.
The reprimands from the two shareholders turned Jiang Shan’s face various shades of white and green. She truly was in a hurry! But she couldn’t be blad for that! This matter really couldn’t be delayed!
Though Mo Yuqi knew why Jiang Shan had suddenly burst in, she still put on a very stern face and said, "Jiang Shan, I’ll give you a chance to explain yourself."
