The sewer entrance reeked with a nauseating stench, reminiscent of the lingering odor of decomposing corpses, with rust-colored moss patchily draping over the stone bricks and walls amidst stagnant water, extending all the way into the depths of darkness.

Luo Hao stood still for a mont with a frown, then stepped back through the water with a splashing sound, took out the Communication Crystal, and contacted Yuwen Yu, saying: "The guards at the sewer entrance are missing."

"Are there signs of a fight?"

"Couldn't find any."

"Stop being paranoid. Maybe they just went to watch the match. I still don't get why you care about this."

A crackling sound ca from the crystal, sowhat distorted.

But Luo Hao thought differently, shaking his head: "To my knowledge, this sewer can lead to underneath Elfendo."

"So what?" The tone of the other party was clearly impatient.

Luo Hao moved the crystal slightly aside, saying: "That's the core area of the Spire, otherwise they wouldn't have guards posted at this entrance."

"What's it got to do with us?"

"Don't forget, the Dragon Worshippers might be in cahoots with the Shadow Throne."

"But our task is to keep an eye on the people of the Shadow Throne. Also, the Alchemists are no fools; they know what's beneath Elfendo Spire. Fatty Luo, you'd better hurry back."

Luo Hao was about to say more when he suddenly heard a gust of wind. He swiftly turned around as a grey light shot at him, striking the Communication Crystal in his hand, which flew out, spun, and landed in the water.

He looked back and found it was a gray Feather Arrow, buried straight into the wall, its tail feathers still trembling.

Luo Hao broke out in a cold sweat, and as he turned again, he saw a narrow shadow walking in from the sewer entrance.

The shadow crossed the sunlight, casting an oblique mark on the ground, its owner was a tall, grey-skinned Lizardman, looking at him condescendingly with narrow, icy eyes.

Luo Hao noticed a long, spear-like tail trailing behind it, sweeping from one side to the other, just blocking his path.

But Lizardn don't have spear-like tails, and a terrifying thought flashed through his mind—the ominous term surfaced—Dragon's Claw.

The opponent's narrow pupils surprisingly showed a chill-inducing smile, bending low to creep in, stepping closer to him.

Luo Hao knew that even the lowest level Dragon's Claw henchn were Level 15 or above, and this one before him was clearly not the mindless kind of monster, but a higher-level existence.

He glanced in the direction his crystal had disappeared, realizing there was no ti left. A thought struck him, and suddenly, he turned and ran.

Fleeing deeper into the sewer.

Yuwen Yu nervously patted the crystal in his hand, frowning.

The unilateral break in communication made him a bit uneasy. He glanced out the window towards the direction of the apartnt, the Shadow Throne side still hadn't shown any signs of activity—though he withdrew his gaze, hesitating. Should he go take a look? But the task the Captain assigned couldn't just be abandoned.

Thinking of this, he picked up the crystal again and dialed one of the communication numbers stored within, saying:

"Captain, there's sothing important to report..."

...

Elisa watched as the tumultuous lake water ford a four to five-ter high erald wall, as if made of actual Erald.

And the white silk seen earlier was rely the precursor of the shattered waves.

"Hold tight!" The Big Cat suddenly shouted.

The waterline first reached the Inner Harbor District, lifting the boats docked outside, smaller fishing boats and yachts clung to a wall standing upright. The wall emitted cracking sounds, continuing forward, hitting the Scarlet, turning the three-masted ship sideways to smash against the pier.

Wood imdiately buckled under the strain, splintering apart, bridges breaking into several sections.

From afar, it looked like the entire port was moving inward.

The dock was in utter chaos; Elisa saw workers screaming as they passed by Mr. Greyrock—and not far away, the tide had already passed the dike, rushing inland. Its impact weakened after landing, but when colliding with Mr. Greyrock, it still pushed the massive figure a few steps sideways.

The latter let out a deep grunt, crashing sideways with a bit of fear, causing the whole platform to tilt down.

Chairs, tables, and the tea snacks atop them rolled in one direction, crashing against the ship's side, vanishing quickly in the sprays.

Fortunately, Reed had tily reminded everyone to hold onto the opposite ship's side, steadying themselves.

"I'll go calm Mr. Greyrock down," Atira said, agilely flipping over the ship's side, climbing down along the airbag's sh net.

"Miss Atira!" Elisa leaned over the ship's edge, watching the swaying ropes until the Elf Miss's figure disappeared behind the Magical Engine.

While beneath Mr. Greyrock was a vast spread, water already flooding over its belly, and countless wood fragnts floated in the water.

She looked up, still unsure of what had just occurred.

"Look over there." Bakins said calmly.

Elisa and Reed looked that way, seeing the first wave crest had already passed, the water retreating.

While the Scarlet had been pushed ashore, tilting to one side. In that direction within the bay, a peculiar sight was heading upstream.

Elisa took a closer look, realizing those were fish fins, long, spiky fish fins.

Like blades, they sliced through the water, swimming towards the port. One could even faintly see their shadows under the water.
