Then ca a gunshot, and behind the Iron Guard of the Dragonfire Guild, a blue light flickered on the Healer, and their shield shattered into pieces.
The Dragonfire Guild isn't much of a Grand Guild, and the performance of this Iron Guard was far below the standards of the lee professions Fang Hong had seen from Ragnarok and Silver Forest Spear—instead of imdiately raising the shield to protect the Healer behind, he was seeking the direction from which the attack ca.
This is not the reaction a professional Iron Guard should have.
The Iron Guard quickly located where Hilveld was shooting from, but all he saw was the second flash of fire—he realized sothing was wrong and wanted to block in front of the Healer. But it was a mont too late, and as the Healer was bending down to find cover, their chest suddenly blossod into a blood flower.
The first shot nullified the shield; the second shot nullified life. The cloth armor class was already fragile, not to ntion this was the 'elite' Healer among them. Although they may have been a few levels higher than Hilveld, the Gunslinger relied on their firearm, not on levels.
Two shots, and the opponent still goes back to the Holy Sanctuary.
If they had a Holy Sanctuary to return to.
The gunfire drew attention, and a Dual Swordsman and a Gunslinger behind reacted, turning to leave regardless of the Iron Guard in front. But they only took half a step when their footing suddenly sank, and looking down, they saw the soft soil had sunk halfway.
Quicksand Technique?
But it didn't quite seem like it.
How could a Quicksand Technique have water seeping out from the soil, and this water kept rising, with vines growing wildly around, turning an obvious Pine Forest into a place with countless aerial roots dangling down.
Suddenly, a dragonfly the size of a bucket dove towards them. "It's an illusion!" the Gunslinger shouted.
But before the words were out, he saw his Dual Swordsman companion being struck in the chest by the dragonfly and stumbled backward into the bog.
He quickly turned to grab his companion's hand, to prevent him from being swallowed by the swamp. anwhile, the dragonfly flickered above them and disappeared into the canopy.
Only then did the Gunslinger realize it wasn't a dragonfly, but a blood rust marsh dragonfly.
But the question was, how did monsters from the Far South Marsh end up here?
His mind was a fog, but there wasn't much ti to think. Because he was using all his strength trying to pull the Dual Swordsman out of the muddy water, when suddenly a steady voice ca:
"Don't move."
The Gunslinger instinctively paused, as a vine whipped past, snapping just above his head, startling him into a duck.
It was at this mont that the owner of that steady voice seed to have finally located Gita.
He raised his magic wand, unfolding an array, and the elental crystal in his hand turned into an ice cone, shooting forward. The ice cone hit the tree trunk beside Miss Natural Historian, shattering and splattering ice fragnts all over her face.
Terrified, she crouched to the ground, her heart panicked: "Not good, the opponent has a Water System Elentalist."
The opponent also spoke at the sa ti: "It's a Natural Historian."
However, not far from Gita was a Xiangzi, who reached into the void inside the swamp, surprisingly pulling out a piece of rotten wood, and then vigorously threw it towards the Elentalist. The rotten wood, laden with mud and water, smashed against the opponent's shield.
The blue light of the shield flickered.
While this attack did no damage, it precisely revealed the opponent's position.
The Elentalist casually swept his hand, sending a gust of icy wind to shatter the rotten wood, then raised his head, cautiously realizing there was another opponent nearby.
Suddenly, he glimpsed a flicker of light and shadow through the dense forest—a silver flash, like a reflection of shattered light—was there a Magic Guided Conductor using illusion magic nearby? The Elentalist reacted faster than anyone present from the Dragonfire Guild, instinctively raising his magic wand, his left hand with a tal glove preparing a counter-spell gesture.
Only what he awaited was not a spell.
But a blade erging from the shimring light and shadow.
The long sword blade split from a blurred halo, piercing directly towards his chest, right upon the shield—a mix of blue and white light tangled together, with a 'crack,' the shield shattered completely.
"What the hell!"
The Elentalist's mind was in chaos.
As the shield shattered, the impact knocked him stumbling back unwittingly. Only then did he clearly see his opponent—a young man clad entirely in black, dressed as a Magic Guided Conductor, turning to sheath his sword.
His left hand raised, and a Magic Guided Wand pointed right at his face.
And then a gray light swept across his vision.
In the last mont, he finally received the spell—
At the sa ti, Elisa and Parker had also tead up to deal with the Dual Swordsman and Gunslinger trapped in the bog, compared to the Elentalist, the Dragonfire Guild's two mbers died almost without any dignity.
Then there was the Iron Guard trapped by Atira's thorn spell, dying under Hilveld's dual short guns.
Of the six mbers of this team, only the Ranger holding the rear managed to escape.
Almost instantly, the Ranger saw five people on his team list go dark one by one. He imdiately sensed sothing was wrong, instinctively wanting to retreat, but as he turned, he only made a feint.
At the mont of turning, he took a great bow from his cloak and shot an arrow towards a direction in the Forest.
Luo Hao's reaction was equally fast, almost the mont he saw the bow drawn, he instinctively raised his shield and stood in front of Fang Hong. With a loud crash, his hand went numb, and his great shield almost flew out of his grip.
Looking down, the arrow had pierced right through the shield, reducing its durability by more than half.
Piercing Arrow.
The opponent's first reaction was terrifyingly accurate, but thankfully, this shield was also Fang Hong's creation, an A grade masterpiece, which ultimately saved the two of them. The Ranger was extrely quick-witted, imdiately turning to flee after the failed shot.
Not far from him, a shadow of pale gray flickered by.
No doubt it was another team's Nightingale.
The mont both turned, they heard a low humming sound, seeing a swarm of golden shadows suddenly rise from beneath a bed of pine needles, forming an impenetrable golden net that surrounded them.
Even Luo Hao was startled upon seeing this, because it was nothing less than Clockwork Fairies.
He puzzled over when these Clockwork Fairies were released.
Each of the golden Clockwork Fairies was projecting a red beam of light, crisscrossing and aid at the Ranger and Nightingale. The two exchanged a glance, each with a look of bewildered uncertainty—they had never seen such Clockwork Fairies before?
Fang Hong lightly patted Luo Hao's shoulder, signaling him to step aside.
He looked at the duo, clenched his hand.
The Dragonfire Guild's Ranger had a premonition of doom, bewildered as he stepped back, but it was too late.
A burst of firelight.
Nurous blossoms of blood blood from his body.
Luo Hao's jaw nearly dropped to the ground, witnessing what unfolded—The Clockwork Fairies fired!?
