The Agility Swordmaster saw Fang Hong and Luo Hao, his figure flashed, and imdiately disappeared behind a tall bush in that direction.
But of course, he didn't know that a hundred feet away, a Clockwork Fairy was quietly stationed within the dense canopy, observing his movents without missing a detail.
Fang Hong also pretended to search in that direction, showing an 'empty-handed' expression, but in fact, he was absent-minded, only calculating the strength he could utilize in his mind.
After the battle with Fanric, he had reached Level 20. However, since the Hall of Thousand Doors, he had systematically learned skills and knowledge related to the path of the Alchemist and Artisan Master, so the actual increase in combat power was limited.
But even so, his Calculative Power had leapt to 241 points. For his level, even without Miss Tata's assistance, it was no problem to control five Energy Angels simultaneously. Yet, typically, a high-level Combat Artisan would not waste their Calculative Power in this way. Fang Hong himself usually equipped three Energy Angels, two main, one backup, leaving more Calculative Power for other Constructs.
For example, his current main construct—the Orphen Twin Stars, along with nurous Clockwork Fairies, and several types of Auxiliary Constructs.
As he was thinking, two other individuals appeared within the view of the Clockwork Fairies in different directions. Distributed in four corners, the four Clockwork Fairies within a hundred feet range surveilled everything almost without a blind spot.
New to Fang Hong's sight was a brawny man wielding a giant axe. Fang Hong recognized him as a Berserker, not because of the weapon but because of his exposed upper body marked with blue magic runes—typical traits of a Berserker.
Those magic runes are essentially the Berserker's Armor and Magic Guided Equipnt. The peculiar lines are magic power conduits, directly connected to the Main Crystal of the Magic Guided Reactor. Berserkers abandon Equipnt and rely solely on their robust physique and firm will to endure and wield magic power's enhancents and erosions, as if their muscular and stony skin under the magical endownt becos an impeccable Armor.
Of course, it's not without cost. As their pri years fade, the damage caused by magic power erosion becos increasingly evident, and Berserkers almost never die a natural death.
The earliest Berserkers originated among the Half-Orcs of Rotao. Due to low Alchemy skills and scarce Magic Guided Conductors, Half-Orcs had to resort to this 'last resort.' However, this culture gradually spread, making Berserkers a legitimate widespread profession.
Despite their various disadvantages, the easy formation, requiring no investnt, and long period of prowess make them acceptable to Adventurers. Especially for Invokers, not everyone can beco a top master, and since they would retire after thirty anyway, Berserkers beca a popular profession among Invokers for a period.
Berserkers also don't lack distinctive traits. Long-term magic power erosion grants them extrely high magic resistance, and each Berserker possesses a unique Elental Resistance corresponding to their main Attribute, improving with Level, eventually becoming nearly immune to a specific elent's damage.
This profession absolutely counts as the nesis of Magic Guided Conductors and Elentalists, though it's not good news for Combat Artisans as well, since explosions and various rays mostly count as elental or magical damage.
Following the Berserker was a Dragon Cavalry Gunslinger, the so-called mounted infantry.
The opponent's steed was a Feathered Lizard, with a Fire Crystal Rifle hanging from the saddle, resembling Empire style—this type of profession combines mobility and output, also a formidable opponent.
Fang Hong also knew that this team had at least two to three more not yet revealed, but their invisibility didn't equate to non-existence. Hidden enemies were often more dreadful, especially for a fragile Combat Artisan like him.
"I have an idea," Luo Hao suddenly whispered.
Honestly, he wasn't optimistic about the two of them confronting a squad from the Dragonfire Guild's Elite Brigade. Especially when Dragonfire Guild's Elite Brigade mbers were at least Level 25 or higher, nearly fifteen levels above him, and about five levels higher than Fang Hong.
However, right now, the issue wasn't whether they could or couldn't but that they had to solve the imdiate problem. He always looked down on those who only complained because with that ti, you'd be better off thinking of sothing useful. After all, the worst result was only reviving once. But if done well, it could entail causing problems for the opponent before being taken down.
And causing trouble was sothing he excelled at.
So after making up his mind, he spoke to Fang Hong this way.
"What's your idea?" Fang Hong asked nonchalantly.
"We have to find a way to lure them over."
"That's what I was thinking too," Fang Hong nodded.
He wasn't a galomaniac either; given the level suppression, taking on greater numbers inherently held slim chances of victory for them. They could only hope for the opponent's mistakes, giving the two a slight chance. Yet even regular people wouldn't make mistakes for no reason, let alone facing an opponent from the Dragonfire Guild's Elite Brigade, which wouldn't easily expose such weaknesses.
Perhaps only by luring the opponent into attacking, leveraging the attack to reveal weak points, would it seem realistic.
