Fang Hong held Little Gita and spun half a circle, then steadied himself and put her down, asking: "Are you okay?"
Gita blushed to her ears, one hand tightly clutching her magic guided book, quickly and uneasily smoothing out her sowhat ssy hair, shaking her head. But Fang Hong noticed sothing odd about her, and couldn't help but ask again: "Really okay?"
"Re...really okay." Gita answered timidly, her head down, knowing that his actions didn't an much, yet she couldn't help feeling nervous.
Fang Hong carefully looked at her, knowing she was reticent and wouldn't speak easily until a critical mont, much like Miss Tata, who was silent as gold—seeing her answer now put him slightly at ease. He guessed she was a bit nervous and reached into his coat pocket to pull out a clawing Fang Nini, placing her on Gita's head.
"There might be combat later, help take care of Nini."
"Al...alright."
However, Fang Nini, disturbed during her nap, was protesting with a woeful growl, looking quite unsettled, scaring Gita into hurriedly holding her with one hand.
Only then did Fang Nini recognize Miss Natural Historian, forcefully pushing aside the latter's fingertip, and habitually used her tiny sharp teeth to lightly bite.
Gita gasped, quickly retracting her hand.
Though the result wasn't quite the sa, Fang Hong felt the distraction helped her overco 'nervousness', which was why he turned around. Not far away, Little Fatty and the others were walking over, Little Fatty was looking mysteriously at Miss Gita, then at him, with a sneaky complint:
"A master is truly a master."
Fang Hong gave him a puzzled look, feeling there was sothing unsaid in his remarks: "What do you an?"
Isn't using a flying claw to parachute in a standard procedure? Though it might be rare among Combat Artisans, two Nightingales from the Shield of Lufu previously landed this way, since flying claw is originally a Thief System skill, it wasn't sothing he ca up with out of thin air.
Little Fatty chuckled:
"I ant the master catching Miss Gita, caught her quite steadily."
But Fang Hong found this person very suspicious, only shook his head after listening: "My flying claw is a bit different from Nightingale's; it has built-in magic guided power, catching steadily is expected, you might not be familiar with it, but once you are, it's no big deal."
Wu Xiaopang opened his mouth.
Looking at this master, he felt their conversation was on different wavelengths.
Miss Nightingale beside even laughed herself silly, covering her mouth and turning her head away to prevent her shoulders from shaking too much, lest she laughs out loud and attracts the guards, which would be a real problem.
She then walked alongside, gently patting Gita's shoulder: "Don't overthink it, Little Gita, our Captain is just a big fool."
Gita blushed a bit, looked at him, and nodded, responding in a barely audible voice: "I-I know, Miss Elisa."
Elisa smiled slightly: "Actually, if you take the initiative, it might not be without opportunities. No matter how much Miss Hilveld is a native, can she really accompany the Captain throughout his life? It's probably difficult. Besides, having soone you like might leave a bitter mory, but it's actually beautiful, why not bravely give yourself a chance?"
Gita gently shook her head: "I hope Brother Ade and Miss Hilveld can be together."
Elisa froze upon hearing this, sighing softly: "Such a kind Little Gita."
She teasingly poked Fang Nini with her finger, making the latter grumble in annoyance.
While the two ladies whispered, the others naturally couldn't hear.
At this mont, Wu Xiaopang probably realized that this isn't the place for jokes, seeing the master didn't quite understand his point, he decided to drop the topic and instead asked: "Master, what to do next?"
Fang Hong asked: "What's this place behind?"
Since the Clockwork Fairy previously engaged in close combat with the enemy, Fang Hong hadn't had the chance to scout what was behind the pier—typically, he wouldn't act so hastily, but ti was of the essence, so he let everyone fly over first.
But a desperate decision doesn't an he'd ignore it forever; Combat Artisans are almost obsessive about scouting, though he's just an Invoker, he's developed this habit.
"Not sure," Wu Xiaopang shook his head: "There's a maze-like cave behind, usually guarded patrols, we didn't go too deep."
"Approach it."
Fang Hong replied.
As he spoke, he released a Silver Bee, and through the vision in his wind goggles, saw the other end of the pier.
The silver fairy flapped into a rock crevice there, and behind, as Little Fatty said, was a narrow cave, unlike the rock crevice of the platform above, it seed ford by water dissolution.
Such caves ford by water dissolution aren't rare on the Land Ridge below the continent, underground streams don't always exit the Floating Continent as surface rivers, rging into the Wind Elental Layer, then entering Eteliria's atmospheric cycle—they sotis drill through rock, forming a curtain-like waterfall below the continent, a common sight on the continent's edge.
Even at Saint Hugon Corner, it forms astonishing natural spectacles—the Tanalia Hanging Waterfall Group.
