The description of that skill is quite simple:
'Magic Recovery [Advanced Skill / Knowledge / Alchemy / Ether]'
'Level F'
'The dissipation of magic isn't always tolerable waste; on the contrary, it is actually a delicate mistake—'
'Allows the creation and use of any components (plugin) of Magic Recovery below (F/E/D) level.'
Yet Fang Hong looked at this skill and felt his eyelid twitch; even at the end, he still underestimated the impressive degree of this skill—this was an advanced skill—and it seed like this was his first ti obtaining an advanced skill.
Advanced skills represent the limit of the knowledge an Alchemist can learn within the Artisan Association's library, and often it's not this simple. Because most advanced skills are school skills, their number within the Artisan Association's public library is extrely scarce.
These skills are often donations from a certain school in history, but such occurrences have been limited in the history of Colin Ishurian. As for the situation with Osh, Fang Hong isn't too sure, but it's likely similar.
Scarcity breeds value, and this principle is equally applicable within the Artisan Association. Thus, to learn these skills, one must at least be of Lady Aierna's status or higher or have made equally outstanding contributions to the Artisan Association. Why do Invoker Alchemists work for the Artisan Association? It's precisely for this reason.
And joining a certain school to learn the corresponding advanced skills is not easy either. Not to ntion that once you join a school, you cannot betray it for life, eliminating the possibility of learning other school skills, which might be inconsequential to natives, but many Invokers cannot accept this.
And even if one can overco this, there's a second issue to face—this is also a simple matter: what qualifications do you have to make those prominent school figures take notice?
Of course, if Fang Hong were willing to join a school, such as the Kapuka School from which he hails, or the Elfendo Council, it's likely that prominent figures from the related schools would be very pleased, perhaps even stepping out to welco him. However, those intent on reaching the pinnacle of Invokers often wouldn't make such a choice.
In short, as a middle-to-upper-tier category of skills, learning any advanced skill is never easy.
The highest level skill he has learned in the past was likely the 'Ancient Alchemy' he acquired in the Hall of Thousand Doors. This type of skill is marked as a special category 'Core Skill' within the skill system, similar to Reinforced Gloves and Mirroring Command, except the latter are core skills of basic skills, while the forr are core skills of interdiate skills.
Advanced skills actually also have core skills; within the sa skill level, core skills have a slightly higher status but not higher than the next level of skill.
Advanced skills themselves are already extrely rare, not to ntion such exclusive skills that cannot be learned through public ans. And it's not just that; according to the literal description, this is a piece of knowledge—rather than technique—and in Eteliria, the system has a unified standard for skill descriptions, typically divided into three major categories:
Skills / Craftsmanship / Combat, this category is ready for use, often referring to skills that can be directly used. Among the three sub-categories, the forr is mostly used in non-combat settings, such as Fang Hong's 'Mirroring Command,' although it can also be used in combat, it's not constrained by combat conditions.
The latter mostly appears in production settings, used to describe craft skills with nurous sub-skills, yet often not used in combat. This category belongs to the craftsmanship domain, such as woodworking, forging, even including alchemy itself.
Finally, there are skills directly used in combat, such as Explosive Crystal, a series of battlefield skills like Strength Enhancent and Swift Burst.
The second major category is much simpler, involving talent/bloodline. This refers to all skills based on innate or acquired characteristics that require no learning, acting upon bloodline and race. The biggest feature of this category of skill is 'no need for experience points,' often acquired under various fortuitous conditions.
Among these is the awakening talent of the Dragon Knight.
Theoretically, Fang Hong's ability of the Dragon King's Heart should be included. But after the battle at Idus, inexplicably, the once all-powerful system didn't display this ability, only retaining the description of the Dragon King Curse, which made Fang Hong sowhat depressed.
The last category is knowledge.
This is also the simplest description category; only knowledge and no other sub-categories.
Skills described as knowledge actually have only two situations, basic theory—or branch basic theory. From a priority standpoint, knowledge as a skill category fathers all skills except talent and bloodline; almost all skills, including craftsmanship, must derive from basic theory.
In essence, except for those most basic techniques—such as running, jumping, and climbing—advanced techniques all require corresponding theoretical knowledge as the foundation. For example, Strength Enhancent and Swift Burst, to use these two basic skills belonging to the strength and agility systems, you first need to have Strength Enhancent and Swift Burst plugins, and to activate skills from the plugin, you must also master the relevant plugin foundational theories.
