The middle-aged woman let out a scream, almost fainting, as the surrounding maidservants hurriedly patted the lady's chest to revive her. The woman gasped, looking at the little maidservant in front of her with a ghostly expression, her eyes rolled back, and she almost fainted again. But the young maidservant burst into tears, stamring as she sobbed:
"It's not my fault, it's the young lady who told to do it."
This little girl, with a unique desert ethnicity complexion, was wearing pajamas that completely disagreed with her identity—those were Lavali's clothes—and was sitting on the luxurious big bed of the City Lord's daughter, her small body almost engulfed by the snow-white fluffy sheets and velvet blanket, pitiful and helpless like a small animal.
Upon hearing the latter's cries, the plump lady finally fully regained consciousness, glaring at the latter fiercely, shrieking: "Where is the young lady?"
"The young lady, the young lady heard you want to send her history teacher to be Bait... she went to argue with His Excellency the Governor..."
"She... she told to replace her here."
"She also said... if I didn't agree, she would send away..."
"Boo hoo hoo."
Fortunately, upon hearing this, the middle-aged lady patted her plump chest and sighed deeply with relief, as it was just a visit to His Excellency the Governor, at least not sneaking out like the last ti. Losing Lord Earl's precious gem in this weather would be a catastrophe she dared not imagine.
She glared viciously at the little girl on the bed: "You just wait for the bad luck, I'll teach you a lesson when I co back. You reckless foolish girls will make a huge mishap soday."
The young maidservant was so frightened that she continued to sob uncontrollably.
The plump lady then turned around and waved her hand to the crowd: "Disperse, I'm going to find His Excellency the Governor imdiately, as for Lima," she turned her head, and said coldly: "Stay here, until your young lady returns, I'll discipline you then."
With that, she turned again, looking at a young girl standing silently to the side, her attitude softened a bit, she spoke: "I apologize for the scene, but I might not be able to take you to your room right now, unless I arrange another maidservant to escort you, or you can wait here for a mont."
The young girl curiously looked around the place and replied: "Can I stay here, Lady Rand? I've heard Miss Lavali has a study, may I visit it?"
"Of course you can, that's a direct instruction from His Excellency the Governor, you are a priority," the middle-aged lady sighed: "Ugh, if only this incident hadn't happened. Well then, it would be helpful if you keep an eye on these unruly girls for , I'll certainly discipline them when I return."
The young girl hesitated but decided not to speak.
What she found curious was that the little maidservant, who had been trembling in fear earlier, suddenly stopped crying after hearing the latter part of the conversation.
After Lady Rand left, the young girl curiously approached other maidservants staying here to inquire about the matter. The maidservants, hearing the case, couldn't help but chuckle and inford her:
"Lady Rand said as much, but when the young lady returns, she wouldn't dare to punish Lima. She knows this clearly, by saying so she's actually letting Lima off the hook, just like last ti, and the ti before last."
The ti before last?
The young girl grew even more curious and asked: "Does His Excellency the Governor not intervene?"
The maidservants began to giggle discreetly, but when asked for an answer, none would speak. In their hearts, they wondered who really was His Excellency the Governor in this castle, and the thought of the governor pampering his own daughter amused them. But of course, those thoughts were not to be spread around.
