The torrential rain pounded on the oiled cloth, producing a dense noise like the pouring of beans in the dark.
On the beast of burden's back, the roof had a clever design; Luo Yu had strapped a roll of canvas there, which he rolled up in clear weather and pulled open when it rained to form a simple rain awning on the platform.
A resin torch, fixed to the railing with a bracket, flickered in the threads of rain, casting a vast curtain of water between heaven and earth, and wetting the faces of several people.

Relief washed over the tall youth. Fang Hong looked at him, a bit curious, "Why are you so eager to beco a Combat Artisan?"
Luo Yu's talent as a Combat Artisan was diocre at best, nowhere near his talent as an Elentalist. Even with Miss Fairy's full amplification, he could barely manage to make the Clockwork Fairy fly.
"I just like it," Luo Yu shook his head without directly answering the question.
Seeing this, Fang Hong didn't pursue the matter further—given the talent Luo Yu had shown, it was almost impossible for him to continue on the path of an Alchemist once he returned to the Tabopolis Oak Knights. Perhaps achieving his dream during his ti as a trainee was a kind of consolation to himself.
At least it had taken flight, a good sign, and he hadn't been learning to control Flexible Constructs for too long.
On the other side of the platform, a young French girl, with Xièsta's help, was strapping an Erald Bird XA-type Magic Guided Reactor to her back. This type of general-use amateur reactor, pulled from the very bottom of the storage box, had now found its use.
Tianlan was chatting sporadically with Miss Maid. "Sister Xièsta, your gauntlets are really nice."
The maid glanced at her and subtly withdrew her hands.
"Ah?" Tianlan noticed the detail. "Sister Xièsta, don't you like these gauntlets?"
Without responding to the query, the maid tightened the Magic Guided Reactor, tugged on the collar of Tianlan's shirt with her cold tallic fingertips touching the back of Tianlan's neck. Tianlan writhed and giggled, "Ah, it's so cold! I won't speak anymore, I won't speak anymore, Sister Xièsta, please spare —"
Inside the house, Hilveld replaced a wet towel on Gita's forehead, then turned back, watching the scene with so amusent.
After a lot of fuss, Tianlan finally got her Magic Guided Reactor in order. Although a quirky young lady, she was, after all, a Trainee of the Grand Guild, and systematically learned how to use the Magic Guided Reactor. She turned back and opened the throttle valve, and the Reactor's indicator crystals lit up one by one.
"Really can!?" Tianlan watched the scene, sowhat elated, "I can really feel the connection with the Magic Guided Reactor, the crystal's output power is actually 370M, is this really Non-Attribute Magic Power—ah, it really is! I didn't get hard by magic feedback!"
She frantically checked the system indicators, sowhat making a fuss. "Oh my, Brother Ade, how did you do it?"
"Can it be linked to Kane's Anointnt's Resonance Crystal?"
"Seems like it can!" Each Magic Guided Conductor was naturally paired with the Main Crystal corresponding Resonance Crystal designed by Fang Hong's Kane's Anointnt. Tianlan picked up that crystal and plugged it into the Reactor's main interface, the twelve-string lyre's crystal flickered slightly and then emitted a glowing light.
Seeing this, Fang Hong sighed in relief and clenched his fist secretly—his plan was truly feasible.
In the world beyond the Stargate, the Trainee system is a specially degraded virtual system lacking Glow Material, mainly restricted by three limitations. First, the synchronizer does not possess Magical Adaptability; second, it cannot learn or record Combat Profession Skills; third, the Level is restricted to below Level 5.
But Fang Hong, after a careful assessnt, realized these restrictions could be circumvented, except for the last one.
Lack of Magical Adaptability was the simplest issue for him—as he did not possess it either. In the past, it could be said there were no powerful enough Non-Attribute Crystals, but for Alpha Crystals, this wasn't a problem.
Tianlan's AX-type Magic Guided Reactor only had an output power of 370M due to the structural limitations of low-level reactors, but in reality, Alpha Crystals' maximum output could reach 790M, exceeding the design threshold of all reactors below Level 5.
This standard, for Trainees of up to only Level 5, was not only entirely suitable but even exceeded the requirents.
The second limitation of not being able to learn and record Combat Profession Skills also seed to be no big deal. Tianlan's profession, Bard, was half Life Profession and half Combat Profession, with the combat part involving offensive Sound Magic, but the supportive part was indeed a Life Profession. Even just using this half ability was far better than rely being a spectator in combat.
On Luo Yu's side, Fang Hong fulfilled his wish, attempting to train the tall Trainee to beco a Combat Artisan. Although Combat Artisan nominally pertains to combat, it actually shares the sa origin as an Alchemist; without learning combat skills, it remains a Life Profession.
